  Needs alot of work, you can’t punch or kick, or even jump seems weird to me, scrap the battle royal and make it more of a GTA online experience, this game has so much potential

  i wanna refund. The devs just completely threw this game down and its unplayable and a headache. I supported the devs at first but the game has just gotten unplayable and they dont seem to plan on fiixiing it. Thanks for taking my money and not supporting your community a refund would be greatly appreachiated or fix your game

  VR Review - All playtime in VR And sorry this is the longest review I may ever write in my life... But people NEED TO KNOW... Starting off.... *Deep Sigh*................ I bought GangV the first day it was released on Steam and man it was great then. Amazing. Everything just worked and ran very good - the VR controls were great, motion control tracking and gameplay were smooth. You can control a car by grabbing the wheel and turning your hands, the gunplay is smooth as all hell too - driving and shooting in VR at the same time while also being able to control the radio is very satisfying - I could fly a helicopter and throw grenades out the door onto the suckers racing down the highway in Battle Royale. Then somewhere along the way everything went to hell. Literally you can't even get out of a car in VR anymore. You can open the door but you cannot get the prompt to exit the vehicle, and you can't map the controls in game or via the Vive controls options even though they had an update specifically for Vive. Maybe they gave up on Vive. When you get hit from behind in a vehicle the camera goes nuts and after resetting it you lose the use of grabbing the steering wheel, you can however still steer with the joystick, but remember you still can't leave the vehicle, you have to make the police or gangsters kill you and respawn out of a vehicle. The gunplay is still amazing in VR, pretty much the best part of the game besides the map. The map is incredible, huge, tons of areas to explore, you can drive cars mopeds helicopters etc. Just remember, if you want to walk around and enjoy the sights, never hop in a vehicle since you can't get out, forgot if I mentioned that already... The comes the LOD. The biggest downfall GangV has is the terrible LOD (object draw-in). Literally the worst I may have ever seen in a game sadly. Someone walking down the street is wearing a green shirt until you are 5 feet away from them then their whole person changes into someone else with a different shirt. You can not blend in during PvP anymore due to this. Most the AI driving around are clipped underneath the cars with their feet steering the steering wheel, lots of peds are "swimming" down the sidewalk, traffic lights and trash cans and pretty much all objects in the game draw-in when you're about 10-15 feet away from them, creating much frustration when you're drifting around a corner and all of a sudden you're stuck in a steet sign that rendered in. I play maxed graphics and no matter from low to very high the draw-in and render distance is absolutely terrible. I just wonder how after such a strong entry into Steam, a year later this game is literally unplayable in VR. Very sad to see since they assured us from the beginning that they were putting a huge focus on VR. If they fixed the controls and the render distance this game would be amazing and I'd change the review, but as is it's just not worth it, enough said, DO NOT buy, go play GtaV and GTA Online, unless this game goes on sale for $1 then buy it.   This game has a hell of alot of potential. I believe in time this game could be a must have vr game. It has a massive environment, reminds me alot of the gta world. It is very early access so bugs are expected however no doubt they will be ironed out. Pros - open world gta style - battle royale with vehicles - huge town size scale - try riding a motorbike up some hills its a bit of a rush lols - so much damn potential for this IP with some tweaks and enhancements. - core concept for a top fun vr game which if continued to be polished will turn into a real diamond in the ruff. Currently things I would like to see - bhaptics support - right analogue stick locomotion in settings - two handed pistol holding for increase accuracy (option for grip/snap/toggle) - assign button to release magazine - toggle button for fire mode (single burst of automatic- dependant on gun) - index controller support (finger tracing would be awesome - low priorty) - maybe give cops a little more health All in all this review is after 2days of release. For the price is it worth it. Yes definitely. I feel games like this should be supported so it can grow into something special.

Yeah, it's definitely a twist on the standard battle royale mode with the piped in GTA mechanics of robbing stores to get money to buy weapons and then driving around to get the best location and then getting your gang members in on the action. It's also got an open world mode where you can just mess around. However, it's just not currently a good game and probably will never be one. This game needs a lot of work to be a functional game. In the current state it's in, it's just not fun. The open world mode is very basic. It's a lifeless GTA V clone. There really isn't much to do. You can drive around. You can even do some go through the ring speed trial races. You can also just run over pedestrians, jump ramps, or rob stores for giggles. However, you can't interact with most things. There isn't really anything substantial to do. The BR mode is also way too basic. It's really just a race to get to the ultimate center and control the nearest store so you have your gang members nearby. I think that's just a matter of knowing the map and knowing where to go ultimately. Other than that, you just rob stores (point gun inside stores to get money). Then use that money to upgrade your weapons. That's basically all there is to the BR mode. You drive around a lot too. The weapons handle fine. There's just nothing interesting about playing in this map. There's other better BR games in VR. You can pick almost any of them. I would say that even Standout was a better BR game (by this same dev). Sure it's got potential. However, this game is far removed from being a top BR or open sandbox GTA clone. I would say I only recommend this game if you believe in raptor lab as a VR dev and think they can solve how to make this game much better than it currently is.   I see Negative reviews about bugs and issues but the devs clearly stated they are aware of bugs. Im sure a lot of the negative reviews are also from flat gamers which I dont recommend playing in flat. Vr is were this title shines and this dev team tackles games like bf4(wardust 32 vs 32) and gta(gangv) like no other team would even dare to take on. Especially the massive task to bring those titles to vr. They're constantly updating and listening to their community. This game is so fun with friends that join your gang. At the listed price even with the bugs this us a must buy. Also with the modding support..the possibilities are endless with a gta clone like this. If you like gta and want it in vr..this is a must own title for your vr library.

  This game is straight up trash. Didn't realize it was a Craptor labs game before I clicked purchase. Once again, true to their form, they pick the best games to rip off, and then do the most pisspoor job of recreating it, ever seen. This game is like a bad attempt at recreating the Mona Lisa, but with feces. Everything about the weapons are total shit. That is to say that this game is jacked off in the exact same ways as both standout (their PUBG ripoff game), and wardust (their BF4 ripoff game). They still haven't figured out how firearms operate, reload, or sound. Weapons are scaled WAY too big. You still have to aim your gun at your feet to run (so fucking stupid). The inventory system is absolute crap. Reloading is a joke. The AI are both retarded in appearance and action. The graphics are atrocious. The map design is ludicrously stupid. All the sounds in this game are horrible quality. The movement system is janky AF (pressing up on the thumbsitck makes you jump about 12 vertical feet). The physics are the worst I've ever seen in a game (you float like a deflating helium balloon because they still think making players sick should dictate mechanics if you leave the ground, yet your face can get stuck to a rolling vehicle just like warbugs). If you exit a car mid-air you get stuck in the air. If you exit a car with their arbitrary 2nd 1st person view, your character is stuck crouching until you get in another vehicle and change back to the 1st 1st person view. You can get in planes, but they don't fly. Reverse doesn't work on some vehicles and there are instances where the steering is backward when you're in reverse (drives like you're going forward). As with all other Craptor lab games, the only worthy thing about this game, is the concept they stole from someone else. This game is like the shit a shit would take if two turds buttfucked each other and one turd got butt-pregnant with the other turd's turd. This game is a WAY bigger mess to tackle than both wardust and standout combined... you know, the games they already abandoned in shit shape...? Expect them to abandon this, undoubtedly.
