  In an ocean of good reviews (mostly to acknowledge that having free DLC is nice), I'll add a drop of negativism. True, it's good to have something given freely, but since Mudrunner was supposed to be expanded "as Spintires ought to have been", and given the fact that this promise was left largely unfulfilled (let's face the facts: Mudrunner is the same program as Spintires, with even less functionnality than the original title ... remember the possibility to change tires ?... Yes, this DLC is free, like the other free DLC that are part of Mudrunner, but ultimately, they are the "improvements" that were promised when the same game was sold to us under a new name. I did really like The Valley DLC; I did like The Ridge even more. But this last DLC... well no. The other maps and vehicles were well thought out, while this one is a rushed job adding no new functionalities nor gameplay. It has very little replayability value. I didn't even enjoy playing it the first time. The map layout is just a festival of what is bad in map design: bits of roads leading nowhere, a service station with a few meters of tarmac roads leading to it, lost in the middle of nothing. There is not even places to pick-up logs, nor even random logs to scavenge. That means that this map is close to useless, as there is no reason to use any of the previous trucks. And let's face it, there is even no reason in this map to use the heavier GMC truck. With no semi trailer to carry the un-existing logs, it is there only to be coupled with a few useless cistern semi trailers. Why even moving these fuel trailers around and using them, when the scout pick-up truck is able to cross the whole map and come back to the fuel station conveniently located near the lumber mill ? A free DLC, yes. But in the workshop, there are hundreds of vehicles and maps better designed and free too. I understand that the developers are already at work on trying to sell me the same game for the third time, under the name Mudrunner 2, and so have no time to design properly the freebies that should have been included in the game in the first place. If the developers want to know whether I intend to buy Spintires for the third time or not, I believe the answer is to be found in the rant I've written above.

  Two more useless vehicles and a poor map. The Chevy napco they were pushing so hard is junk, front wheel drive in 2wd? (did they even test it at all?) Seams like its just a reskin of the f150 from american wilds. Also sometimes all tires spin in 4wd even with diff lock off. And both driveshafts spin in 2wd... The GMC with no 4wd is useless as it (and the napco) has basically street tires on and the rear isn't fully locked, every 25ft the rear diff lock decides its "on hard surface" even in mud and dirt... Can't decide if devs couldn't figure out how to make a decent and challenging map or just didn't even try... Seriously no garage? That's the challenge? With no garage you can't even use the GMC for anything on this map other than the utility trailer already attached to it. Which means you are now forced to use the Napco to haul lumber as the only lumber on the map is preloaded scout trailers.. No scavenge, no kiosk. I see reviews praising the "free" update, why? The AMAZING modders on the steam workshop has so much more and better content than this.

  I almost never leave a comment on games I buy because most of the time it's a matter of personal taste. This time I needed to leave a red thumb down. Others before me already pointed out all the cons about this dlc, the only pro is the price, free. Useless map, useless big truck with fuel trailer in a map where you mostly have to climb rocks, so you have to go around with the napco and it's a pain in the A-S-S! This pickup always roll with nothing. It doesn't sound as an old truck either. You can find (much) better maps and vehicles in the workshop. Maybe using these two new vehicles in other maps can be interesting but I don't think I will use them a lot. I don't know...this DLC seems to me something made just to keep the interest of gamers high during the wait for mudrunner 2, a simple marketing move.

  No Garage, no Log Kiosks and pointless new trucks. I have completed the level once and now theres no reason to play it again because its pointless me selecting trucks i cant use. Not worth the data it took to DL it!

  I played thru the DLC map using only the 2 new trucks and although I appreciate any additional content I don't really think this was executed very well. On the bright side the Chevy Napco is a fairly capable scout and despite the GMC being tagged as on-road only I didn't find it getting stuck all that much more than the Napco when taken off-road. Unfortunately the map itself is really devoid of anything interesting both from a landmark prospective as well as the terrain features. The new map certainly doesn’t do anything to highlight the capabilities of the GMC if you actually heed the warning of on-road use only as you would likely just drive right past it when you find it in the wilderness. Overall it feels like the devs just phoned this one in; feeling more like a style test for something in Mudrunner 2.
