  Fun game. Nothing quite like barreling down the road 100kph in a school bus full of kids, wanted and being chased by the police, while the song cotton eye joe blasts on the online radio.

  This game is awesome. I am an American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 player, so I am writing this review with other truck sim gamers in mind. The game has bus simulator, crazy taxi, law enforcement, and racing elements as well, but my interest is mostly on the trucking side. Motor Town has a lot of things that ATS and ETS2 players have been asking for for years: [list] [*]being able to get out of the truck; [*]selecting your character's appearance; [*]owning a home; [*]going into buildings; [*]driving a straight truck/rigid; [*]no places behind barriers that you cannot access; [*]driving a coach bus; [*]driving a tow truck; [*]getting pulled over by the police; [*] and customizing your truck's (or other vehicle's) gear ratios, suspensions, turbo chargers, differentials, etc. in addition to engines and transmissions. [/list] Right now, you can haul flatbeds, dry vans, tankers, dumps, and cement mixers, in addition to smaller vehicles. Log trailers are in the works. You can play the game with keyboard, gamepad, or with wheel and pedals. All my controllers connected instantly: a Driving Force GT wheel, a TH-8A shifter, a custom range-splitter, and a clutch pedal I made myself. No problems with controls at all and very easy to set up. We are just missing head-tracking for now, but the developer plans to add it in the future. This game provides a nice change of pace from ATS/ETS2, and I recommend it for any fan of truck simulators. If you think you might like it, try the free demo. The demo limits you to level two, so check out the guides for what vehicles will be available to you at that level. If you buy the full game, your progress will carry over.

  Motor Town is an impressive game made by a sole developer. You can play it offline single player or online multiplayer, which is by far my preference. If you're learning the ropes you can hop on with another random player on their hosted game. The best experience is found on larger dedicated servers with up to 20 players. This is where the hidden depth of the game really shines. Motor Town boasts an interconnected economy which links the actions of all players on each server. You can get by without cooperation, but the game is far more rewarding when players work together. There are many roles including police, bus, taxi, cargo, and towing. You can easily switch role by switching vehicle. Each role seems self-contained at first, but by performing jobs in your chosen role, you're quietly helping those in other roles. For example: - Running police patrols provides a pay bonus to players running taxi/bus missions. - Running trash collections provides a pay bonus to players running cargo deliveries. - Delivering fuel to gas stations lowers fuel prices for all players. - Completing cargo deliveries creates other more lucrative deliveries for the next stage in each supply chain. On top of this, you'll find a plethora of different vehicles you can borrow, rent, or buy. Once you own a vehicle, you can customize the appearance and performance, including paint, lights, spoilers, suspension, brakes, engines, ride height, and more. All this takes place on a picturesque island that blends American style streets and vehicles with a Korean landscape. The price of this game is a steal for the fun you'll get out of it. I highly recommend picking it up and checking it out, if only to support the developer. You'll probably find you keep coming back to check out new features as they're added. Or maybe because the gameplay is addictive! Either way, this is a great game with a solid future.

  This is one of the few games I've found that seem like a fun way to spend an afternoon. Then you realize tire wear affects your grip, the type of diff you have makes a huge difference and you can FEEL the 20hp increase a turbo gives your cheap van. Suddenly you're more excited about a van with a trailer hitch and roof rack than the sportscars availible to you, and you overheat about 4 times going up a mountain because SOMEHOW your radiator started leaking that one time you thought your car was fine after flipping that taxi. This game is good, and being able to put your car on full autopilot to do some dishes is just 11/10 for an old fart like me.
