About the Game

Amane is a fairly ordinary woman living in one of the biggest cities in Japan, which has been getting more dangerous by the day. People have been disappearing, especially young women, and before she knows it, she discovers the reason: dangerous monsters called monstrums have been kidnapping them!

The monstrums attack her one night on her way home, and just as she’s about to meet her end, her book begins speaking to her, offering her the ultimate contract: become a magical warrior and fight the monstrums.

With her newfound powers, she can investigate monstrum appearances all throughout the city and stop them from taking over the world for good!

With each passing day, the enemy's domination of the city increases. Amane can spend her time with her friends, working, and raising her stats through training, but she can't waste too much time.

When the enemy forces grow too strong, be sure to hunt down monstrums, complete optional quests, and progress the main story to keep them at bay!

Failing to stop the enemies’ conquest will unlock new endings. Don't worry if it's too difficult to fend off all the monstrums on your first playthrough. With New Game+, you can start all over again while retaining your levels and knowledge.

A Bustling City to Explore

Amane's hometown of Echinomiya is full of businesses, people, and activities. New areas and individuals will unlock over time, so there's always something to do.

In-game Achievement System

Perform certain tasks to gain titles, which grant Amane special skills that allow you to see new scenes!

Outfits Galore

Finish side quests and go to clothing stores to gather all sorts of new costumes for Amane to wear!

Battle Dangerous Monsters

By equipping various memory engrams, Amane will gain all sorts of skills that allow her to better fight enemies in turn-based battles. By equipping the right combinations, it's possible to make short work of any enemy.

I am a huge fan of corruption games. Ignore my playtime, i beat the game last night at level 92 on normal with 46 hours of game play time. Summary Magical Girl Celesphonia is an erotic corruption game that in my opinion is best enjoyed playing as a slow burn corruption with your own narrative so you can see her fall. It was extremely satisfying and erotic for me to see her gradually rack up titles and the mental changes to her hobbies and likes. I did not use any lust boosting items to make the journey slower. i will now break down the enjoyable aspects of the game that made me play it for so long. 1. The art is rly erotic. Celesphonia just radiates the right amount of uncertainty and eroticism. Music carries the right mood too. 2. No censors. Yep, it's amazing. 3. Some secrets. Game has some secrets which may be hard to encounter in a normal playthrough. For the most part you don't need them to progress the game. 4. There is a wideeeeeee variety of fetishes for anyone that likes the corruption genre. 5. Yet despite all this, Celesphonia still retains main traits of a heroine and i was rooting for her to be successful towards in the end. 6. the mechanics of the game seems complex but it's fairly straightforward and the game gives you sufficient time to manage both status bars if you don't rush it too quickly. 7. The cursed items are great. I like that one is reflected in the art. I would like it if all the cursed items reflected on Celesphonia but i understand it might be too big a task. 8. Bad ends. There are some bad ends. I would like it if there was a bad end for each genre but that would be very challenging. 8. Pregnancy mechanic, though while simple, is satisfying. It made me change the narrative for my Celesphonia after encountering the event. 9. QoL. This game contains alot of QoL that should be in other rpgmaker games. Examples include, a feature showing obtainable materials in each area, monster drops, quick travel. Map mid point teleporters. 10. Corruption fighting style. It's pretty flavourful. Stronger equipments with drawbacks that require corruption level. I do wish that it could be reflected in game but i think it's a difficult task. The combat generally is straightforward and enjoyable with various possible builds. 11. Post game. There are some post game events which shows the effort put into this game. 11. The ending is satisfying. The ending ending is even more satisfying. It made the narrative i wrote for Celesphonia to come to an amazing end Cons. No CG opener. Even with the tips to unlock CG, it was quite hard to unlock them . I did not unlock all the CGs as i wanted to Celesphonia to have certain traits more than the others. There are some bugs when playing certain H events. I need to exit the game and restart it to fix it. It can break immersion. I wish there was an auto play function or a notification telling us we have seen this event before. What i wanted to see more. More sprite variety, voice lines reflecting mental and physical changes and more events with CG of course. I hope Kagura games translate other great corruption titles ( cough Anti Domi Heaven Armament ) and i hope Shimobashira Workshop make more quality games.

Game is very much worth it, when you set it up right. For anyone like me who's just recently learnt of Kagura games and how they actually work within Steam, I'll save you 3 hours I wasted by telling you that you MUST follow these instructions to install THIS PATCH after you buy the game for it to have any of its sexual content available, as without it, there's hardly a reason to play this at all, much less spend money on it. With that out of the way, said content is quite satisfactory and makes the game well worth the purchase when you're looking for something like this; there's no beating around the bush, this game is entirely dedicated to assault and misogyny, so if you don't gravitate towards these fantasies, there's nothing for you here. For everyone else, there's plenty to practically recreate 177013, but as if the MC enjoyed it. P.S: for some bloody reason, that I'll assume in good faith is just laziness to create a separate function from their current shopping cart, Kagura's site insists on demanding your personal information to download an absolutely necessary, FREE patch for one of their products that you already bought legitimately. Just mash your keyboard in each field, add @outlook.com after the email one, and download as normal.

Have you ever played a game that felt remarkably.... evil? Like, halfway through playing you realize that that the morality of your participation in the game is suspect? As if the video game ESRB rating system was completely justified? Can you imagine a game so base, so vile, so filled with disgusting content that it made you shiver every time you boot it up? Have you ever played a game that was so horrendously malicious yet managed to consistently draw you back in? Well, I have. I present to you Magical Girl Celesphonia, a game that hit me like thirty colossal trucks going 120mph straight towards my cerebral cortex. I really haven't played too many RPGMaker games, but if the rest of them have the mechanical fidelity of Celesphonia then I have stumbled upon a veritable gold mine. Obviously you won't find astoundingly high production value here, but what you will find is a fascinating game. An evil game. I get this unshakable feeling that over in Japan, sensibilities are a little bit skewed from how we approach things here in the West. That being said, this game posits rape in an exceptionally problematic way. It's frankly disgusting. No amount of showers, regardless of thoroughness, can cleanse me of the terrible things in this game. It's vile. And it was essentially enough for me to put down the game and rethink my life. At least until the music started playing. Seriously, I want to find whoever did all the music for this game and buy them a fancy meal. The first time I opened the overworld map (showing various destinations in town), I was stunned. The absolute groove that hits when that alto sax is going ham is nuts. Then the night variation of the track is much smoother, slower paced, and contemplative. Then terrible things happen. The story is fine. Maybe a little bit better than that. I'm sure plenty of people will simply dismiss Amane's struggle to cleanse the town of malicious monstrum in the continuation of her mother's legacy so that they may instead crank their hog until the next completely messed up scene. I threw up a little writing that. But the plot is serviceable. I somewhat wish there had been some kind of dating simulator cooked into the game, as well as a more Persona-styled friendship system. But the latter may be pointless since you are your only party member, and the former may be disregarded in case you want Amane to be as sexually liberated as possible. I laughed a lot during my initial playthrough, but maybe not in places I was supposed to. After defeating a demi-monstrum (effectively boss battles), they'll stagger back, say something or other about not believing they were defeated by this absurdly powerful magical girl, then they will explode. And the sound effect never fails to make me laugh. Slay monstrum, convert their souls into upgrade materials, upgrade your weapons and armor, unlock various magical skills and abilities, and just have a grand ol' time as you walk around as a one-woman rpg party. You're almost definitely gonna be overpowered as heck, but at least you're gonna listen to some good jams as you do it. If you'd like a little primer for starting off, I unlocked Close Combat, Healing, and Explosion magic to start off with. Between those three (as well as the spell that allows you to repair your clothing), you'll do just fine. If any of this interests you and you aren't dismayed by the unbelievably despicable depictions of non-consensual sexual encounters, then you should give this game a try. In fact, the music alone was worth the price of admission for me. But recognize that this game is fundamentally evil by design. And download the 18+ patch if you're willing to engage with the horniest game I have ever encountered in my time (and I played College Kings). I'll return to this game eventually, trying to find scenes that I missed, rethink opportunities I squandered, and change my starting answers around to see how great an effect on the game they truly have (hypothesis - they hold little influence on the game if any (but I'm willing to be surprised)). Until then, happy hunting! And for God's sake, please buy as many tissues as possible and set them to auto clean Amane. Her journey is not a clean one. But the jams are impeccable.

Memories broken The truth goes unspoken I’ve even forgotten my name I don’t know the season Or what is the reason I’m standing here holding my blade A desolate place Without any trace It’s only the cold wind I feel It’s me that I spite As I stand up and fight The only thing I know for real There will be blood-shed The man in the mirror nods his head The only one left Will ride upon the dragon’s back Because the mountains don’t give back what they take Oh no There will be blood-shed It’s the only thing I’ve ever known Losing my identity Wondering have I gone insane To find the truth in front of me I must climb this mountain range Looking downward from this deadly height And never realizing why I fight

Unironically a masterpiece for people who like main character corruption progression and story pacing, Plus the combat is simple and fun for an RPG game and the difficulty is fair if you choose to play it on higher difficulties. Overall 10/10 with the uncensor patch. One of the few good corruption games on steam

One of the better RPGMaker Prostitution Sims available, with decent polish, that doesn't manage to elevate the game above the shortcomings of the genre. Uncensor patch available from the developer's website, although it does require e-mail registration and login to access. I completed the game in 16 hours, but the vast majority of that was grinding through very repetitive RPGMaker combat. The progression system, combined with a significant NG+ mode, could add a substantial amount of time to that; but sitting through that much dull RPGMaker combat strikes me as more masochistic than the game's heroine.

The game focuses heavily on RPGMaker combat

It's polished, and one of the better examples of the medium; but it's still repetitive and tedious busywork that doesn't belong in an H-game. Yeah it's nice the skills are incorporated into a novel progression system, etc – but it doesn't make the grinding any less of a chore. Having the heroine be a Magical Girl somewhat makes the combat slightly more creative than the typical "generic JRPG fantasy" crud you get from the genre's default setting; but it's really the bare minimum you should expect from a retail product.

The game runs into all of the pitfalls of the medium, and doesn't offer any substantial solutions

Same ludonarrative disconnect between RPGMaker combat and erotic storytelling; same ludonarrative dissonance of controlling a female character, requiring you to "throw fights to see H-scenes" and deliberately walk her into moral hazards. As with most games in this genre, it fumbles its core theme (moral corruption) by making all of the narrative entirely disposable and redundant - choosing, as is typical, to abstract out lust and moral degradation to a lewdness bar. It's got unlockable titles, as is familiar in titles such as Ideology in Friction or Kamekaze Komittee Ouka 2; and like in those games they totally fail to have any narrative impact whatsoever. Compare that to Karryn's Prison, where the unlocking of passives actually creates a narrative within the sandbox - something its imitators all fail at. All the hallmarks of a game that's throwing H-content into the mix without any thought into what its purpose is other than to go "look, there's tiddies! Ain't this just like an eroge?!" The goal of games like this should be to give characters interesting tasks to perform around town; the decisions involved with which have specific consequences and thus drive a player-engineered story. Thus establisingh narrative stakes - both for the characters, their relationships, but most importantly for the erotic themeing and experience as a whole. Instead so many releases regard H-scenes as mere porn to throw in the faces of players at arbitrary points in the game as a tick-box content inclusion exercise; which ends up making them both unsexy and without value. This game is no exception.

The setting is a good one, and decently presented. But the game is more interested in sending you through boring dungeons than actually telling a worthwhile story within the setting.

The city has different zones to explore, with different sections and unique events. It's a bit reminiscent of Fleeting Iris in how promising the locales are. But, like most comparable H-games, you quickly realise how superficial this element is. Fleeting Iris and Scars of Summer suffer from being too linear and locking you into strict, but brief, linear Visual Novel routes. Conversely games like Country Girl Keiko; President Yukino; Kamekaze Komitee Ouka 2; etc, etc treat locations in the town as arbitrary lone triggers for disconnected disposable H-scenes which fail at basic story-telling. The superior presentation in this game makes a token gesture at reaching for a decent middle ground between the two; but totally fails to find something valuable in that space. Instead of embarking on a cam-girl career leading to a dramatic tension between your school, home, and superhero identities - it's just a random side-job that has some H-scenes associated with it. Exploring a growing kink in exhibitionism could lead to an emotional reckoning, which shapes how other characters interact with the protagonist, and how she responds to them. Instead it's just, you guessed it, a trigger for a handful of disposable forgettable generic H-scenes. Getting a job promoting a sex-shop in a seedy part of town could leave the main character exposed and vulnerable in a dangerous situation, where the pressures of having a hospitalised father meet the hard end of consumerist sexualisation. But nope, just another nothing burger to be discarded.

The game is allergic to telling any story except for a bland two-dimensional insipid RPGMaker adventure

As is typical, you get the sense that the characters suffer spontaneous amnesia whenever h-events are resolved, carrying on like nothing has happened. Which means it's not particularly sexy. It's just conveyor-belt fet content that is better consumed for free from hentai websites. The fact that this game is far more polished than the majority of its competitors doesn't detract from how unambitious its fundamental design is. You've seen it before with the game's predecessor Ambrosia; and this game doesn't really offer much more.

If all you want is a neat and tidy JRPG with some decent quality hentai art, it's fine. You'll enjoy it.

It's pretty much on a par with Meltys Quest in pretty much every single sense; so if you want more of the same of that, you're in luck. If, instead, you're looking at the positive feedback and are expecting this to be some sort of revolutionary or next-level product, you're going to be disappointed.

An excellent game overall. Having grown sick of most RPG maker games, and having had a desultory experience with Chains of Lust, I was negatively disposed toward Kagura in general. That said, Celesphonia has turned that feeling around almost entirely. Most of the reviewers have adequately covered the positive, but I want to emphasise that while this is still and RPG Maker game, it has a number of quality of life enhancements that cut down significantly on the normally onerous number of clicks you normally have to engage in to get anything done. Secondly, the game itself has genuine depths and your strategic choices with regard to your Engram Build massively impact your success. The crafting is also impactful and gratifying. One small criticism I would make regarding the monster database, is that while listing the items a creature drops and some flavour text, it would be very helpful to also update those entries with the creature's weaknesses if and when your character discovers them. This sort of dynamic improvement to your battle intelligence would be very welcome. My last critical point is more serious, at least for me. I am alright with the erotic content overall, it is mostly stills, but set up well for the most part with what little animation crops up. My issue is with the voice acting or lack thereof. To date, Karryn's Prison is the only Eroge I've played with such a rich library of voice acting on the part of the female protagonist. Sadly, Celesphonia has one track for mildly aroused, very aroused, and only one orgasm sound. On top of that, it is annoying, but it would be forgivable if she made any other sound at all while climaxing. This becomes particularly annoying when she has multiple orgasms (which is normally a positive) and simply repeats the same unimaginative shriek again and again. So, Kagura, please seriously consider investing in a little more variety in this area, as this would greatly improve the erotic value of the game. I can't tell you how much this game would be improved with the addition of better and more varied voice. Given the price, I hope that you'll consider making the investment in an update (which I would personally pay for if this was listed as a new feature in a DLC for example. It's that's important). Other than that, it is an excellent game which rewards multiple playthroughs.

I bought this on DLsite and have like 50 hrs in this game. It is a must buy

You like Ambrosia?? You like corruption system?? Good news!! There is like 4 different corruption system in this game.

A normal sexy one, a hypnosis meter, a student reputation. And an evil corruption system that unlock skills and gear. Like wtf, who put so much effort in my RPG maker ero-game? Lol. All these systems also unlock different H-scenes. About the H, there is a lot of variety. You can go virgin route and still have fun. sexual harassment, glory hole, rape, anal, public bathhouse, exhibitionist, prostitution, gangbang, drug, tentacle, having 14 fxxing kids etc. Basically, every kink is in here. It is also partially voiced in the h-scenes The story is good, but I still like Ambrosia better. Flode gets to be a Champion of Slxt God and pillar of the community, kek. But you just get fXXk a lot in this game. Basically, quoting Green Goblin: "The one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually, they will hate you.” Being a magical girl is suffering. Kek, and by fail, I mean get fXXk by all sort of things. Also, there is like 4 or 5 different endings and 2 endgame mission with h-scenes. The replayability is pretty good. I would say at least 10 hrs for first round and 15hrs for all ending. The combat is your basic RPGmaker combat with sexual combat system, like getting grab by the pussy. There is a lot of crafting and collecting. If you don’t care about this, just lower the difficulty, or use cheat engine.
