  Unnecessarily grindy.

  Durability

  Your damage and abilities barely scale up from the current zone you are in. Your durability eats away at literally 1 per attack. So on a Tier 2 weapon, you have only 200 swings before the weapon breaks, it often takes 5-6 swings per enemy to kill... so you can kill about ~40 things before your weapon breaks, not even including dying (which also eats away durability cost). It costs way too much to make the weapons and armor sets, so often you spend about half the effort to get a new set clearing the area and mining the nodes. This never gets better.

  Damage Mitigation

  There is none. Armor only provides you with +health. You get baseline 100, +20 from skills, you can get some more from food but doing food is a chore for that buff. You get a total of +30 extra health from a Tier 2 armor set, so you can sit roughly at 150 health. The problem is that building these more advance armors does not provide you with ANY damage mitigation. You will always take 20-40 dmg from most of the first zone creatures/monsters. So in most cases you can only get hit 4-6 times before you die. This really needs to change, just adding +HP on armor and no damage reduction is silly.

  Stack Size

  Terrible. Hope you like micro managing. The stack sizes of stuff in this game is awful. Most things stack to 5, some food only stacks to 3, you only get a 3x4 grind for your main inventory and this never improves. Have fun making 100's of chests to store everything. Also bandages only stack in 5, and you need like 20 on you at all times.

  Final Notes:

  Whilst this game does have some potential, in its current state its just way to grindy for no reason. Over inflated mechanics of farming just to maintain your current gear. With a lacking damage mitigation system, lack of any real useful healing, and combat system that lags, you'll spend more time just farming and moving inventory than doing anything of actual enjoyment.

  Solid Crafting, simple building. Survival is not super hard, skills and talents are PLENTIFUL. Overall a very fun little game, absolutely worth the buy.

  This is a very chill zero to hero crafting and adventure game. I hope in the future the game supports some kind of dedicated server approach or at least that the save of the game is clouded so everyone can continue their progression when they are not playing together. Other than that I find it pretty solid for an early access game. This game has good bones, it's pretty and chill. Thumbs up to the Dev. I havent tested it yet, but i hope this supports Steam Deck if not now, soon, because I would love to play it on my couch or while travelling.

  Fun little co-op grind. It's very early in development, and a lot of systems are going to be reworked (as per discussion threads), so you might want to hold off for a bit. I'll be revisiting it in 6 months or so.

  I don't play indie games normally but my friend wanted to play this together with me. It took 6 hrs to complete everything and was fun playing with a friend. We struggled at first but became pretty easy after learning what to do. Open world has chill, fun and plain/simple looking playstyle. Dungeons were surprisingly challenging especially bosses. We tried clearing them without preparing much and ended up dying a lot. Couldn't blast through bosses without learning their patterns, not too hard yet satisfying. Liked playing with the axe and crossbow but sword felt clunky and bad animations. Skill variety was nice and they matter. Attributes offer good gamestyle variety. Encountered some visual, sound bugs and my character froze once, had to force respawn but nothing game breaking for me. I would wait a couple of months before buying if you want more content, polished gameplay and to see if devs will actually implement the content they planned. Price tag is okay for a game like this I think. It is not an epic game but overall I had fun playing with my friend and thats what matters for me.

  There is much more to be done for the game, but the producer that upsets me the most, forgot to make minor touches to the game and very obvious flaws stand out. skill points page doesn't work. fishing mechanics annoying, combat mechanics is doesn't feel like hitting smth ,resources doesn't regrow/resetting (you need to go far far away to just chopping) and the armor doesn't affect anything creatur still damage same (I' m only make 2 pieces of armor and it does nothing) and co-op play still way to go there is a task system in the game and when your friend build smth, you need to build again to make task.when you crafting smth in any table, it taking centruies to make (just for basic materials) and you cannot do about anything (no skill or ability making faster that )

  Tried this out since the start of the demo. Good game that shows progress towards further development from the devs. Takes neither too long nor too short to complete it as it is right now and it seems there's more to come seeing from the road map. No bugs that I've seen since even the start of the demo other than 1 or 2 visual bugs, and even then those didn't affect any gameplay. Overall fun to spend time in and looks/plays better than most indie games considering this seems to be their first game and them not being a full-fledged, big game company. Worth the price and time spent.

  I played this game as a solo player and pretty much liked it a lot. Also I like these low poly style games. There isn't much games that satisfy my art style needs. When I play it, I usually open my chill lofi playlist and build my house and doing some farming. I enjoyed that a lot. The bosses can be overwhelming to me espeacially. But as I progress through my gear and weapons it becomes not easier but more bearable. Overall I really enjoy playing it solo. When I looked at the roadmap there is going to be much more content in the future. My personnel favorite update will be fishing I guess :) I like that feature a lot in survival games. Hope the developers keep up their work. (PS: I really liked playing with greataxe :))

  Lodventure is a cute, peaceful little game, reminiscent of almost every survival craft game out there. In EA, there isn't much that set's it apart from the others on the market. However, the music is peaceful, the art style is cute, and it plays well. There are still a few kinks that need to be worked out, but overall, this is in great shape, considering it's age. Kinks: No key binding settings Very little to craft, so you quickly end up with HUNDREDS of spare materials, that you don't need. Crossbows are nearly impossible to use, due to the projectile speed. Those are some of the biggest issues, which...admittedly, are a non-issue for most. The keybinding is on the road map, I'm sure once they add more to craft, the materials won't be an issue, and there is a combat overhaul on the road map. I'd say, at this price point, it could provide a substantial amount of fun. HOWEVER, there are currently VERY few tiers of gear in the game, and even fewer tech tiers. Tech caps at tier 1 (except armor), and gear has maybe 4 tiers (I'm probably missing one). There are only 2 overworld areas, and only 4 bosses. If you're skeptical, it's worth the buy, play now, and come back as they update it. P.S. The devs should reach out to content creators, and get this game some positive publicity!

  nice and fun game. liked the challenge of concept. once figured, smooth to progress. i will try with friends to get a taste of old school local area network fun. looking forward for full version with fixes and more content.
