  I mean I don't know what to say about this game. It is stunning in every way. The art/animation in this game is absolutely breath taking -- if you are looking for a challenge if you set the difficulty high this can give you souls-like challenge maybe not quite that level depending on who you ask. The story mode is for anyone who is just looking to relax and enjoy what is happening in front of them, which I will tell you is quite fantastic. The mechanics of this game just blow me away time and time again. I keep doing things and thinking to myself "wow that could actually maybe possibly happen in real life" and yet I still feel like I want to do everything this game has to offer because of how well made it is. This review is everywhere... buy the game you won't regret it.

  Oh, where to begin? I guess with a TLDR: This game is exceptional, it is worth playing and I think most gamers would agree with me. Now to the details! This game is a joy to behold, from the wonderful crafted ecosystems that feel real to the haunting and yet still beautiful soundtrack... Horizon: Zero Dawn does not disappoint. As you step into this world, an ice cold stream on one side and a field filled with swaying grass and deadly machines, I hope you will be as captivated as I am. On the subject of those machines, they are equal parts awe inspiring and terrifying. Each has unique mechanics that make them all a very real threat, they force the player to adapt to the fight at hand or get squashed. They also all make sense, each filling a niche in the ecosystem and each playing a vital role in the new Earths future. Sure, there are some issues. The performance on PC isn't great if you don't have a very powerful PC and there are aspects of the game that are REALLY buggy. There's also a brutal difficulty curve if you want to 100% it as I have. But through these issues the core gameplay still shines for me. At the end of the day, is this game for everyone? Probably not. Is it worth everyone trying it at least once? YES. There's something here for most gamers. 10/10.

  Spoiler-free review. Technical Finally a console ported game worth buying on pc - in three playthroughs I've only run into two crashes and a couple of glitches here and there. The game's well polished and not the buggy mess, I've come to expect by now, when going for AAA games. I suppose it helps, that the game has been out on console for ages now and yes, also running top end hardware. Nevertheless I'm usually very sceptical when it comes to ported games. Hence: BRAVO. Story Complemented with the soundtrack and visuals, the story was absolutely breathtaking. Been a long time I invested emotionally into a game. Give them writers a raise :) Even on third playthrough I still had shivers running down my back on some scenes. Gameplay The (story) missions themselves are pretty linear, with some hidden side rooms, if you want to explore and get some background infos to the lore/history. The map is, after a first/short walled of segment, open. Side missions and objectives scattered all over the place. Its left up to the player, how he wants to deal with the world. You ain't forced into specific areas and not even forced to complete every side quest. Overall you can get around 80 hours of gameplay, if you want to collect all, listen to all datapoints and so on. If you just focus on the main-missions, I estimate it'll last 40+ hrs ez. Price Well worth the 60 bucks on pc. Addendum I don't expect Sony's gonna read this, but just in case: This game was one of my favorite games this year. I'd even hand over more of my hard earned $$$ for quality products like this. I will not buy a console however, just to get access to exclusive games - even if they all as good as this one (looking at you there "God of War" or "The Last of us"). So why don't you do us all, and frankly yourself, the favor and learn from this - ease up on exclusives and seize the potential cash cow that is pc gamers ;) Cheerio PO3T
