  Have you ever played an “mature content” game and hoped that an H scene would shatter your mind with cosmic horrors beyond your comprehension? Do you find that the main characters in these games spend too little time worrying that they’ll be drained of their bodily fluids so the villain can perform eldritch rituals? Do you ever think to yourself, “Dang, the love interests in this game need more devil horns and spider legs?” Well, this might just be the game for you! Countess in Crimson somehow crams these intense scenarios, as well as a compelling story and some of the finest animations I’ve seen so far in a mature game, into a small package. The game itself can be completed in a couple of hours but lends itself to replayability. (As far as I know, it’s impossible to get all the scenes in one playthrough.) While the short play time might be a deterrent to some potential players, the unique subject and content makes up for it. Plus, it’s currently in Early Access; the developer has said that there will be a new character and other new stuff added eventually. But, as I’ve implied, what’s already in the game is really high quality. The devs also seem to understand what it takes to make a rewarding “mature content” game: the player sets the pace to some extent by avoiding or engaging in dialog options; the camera item can be used to get extra stills of the characters; the mini-game to unlock mastery scenes can be turned off with no negative effects on the outcome. The only thing missing (or isn’t obvious enough for me to find it) is a “skip” option for subsequent playthroughs. Be prepared to do a lot of clicking to unlock those additional endings! If you’re looking for a new adult visual novel but are in the market for something a bit spicier than the usual fare, you can’t go wrong with this one. I, for one, will be looking forward to the additional content to finally be released and will be keeping an eye on this developer in the future.

  I write this having first played Cockwork Industries - Countess in Crimson is not as good. It's okay, I bought it at a slight discount and as a result think I got fair value for money. The game/novel is very short - I've played it through multiple times to get all endings and all possible gallery pictures and videos and all achievements - this took me 18 hours in total. The artwork is pretty good but the skin tones have exaggerated textures - I guess this is sort of in keeping with the subject genre. The character development is fairly shallow - they lacked the detail and individuality of those in Cockwork Industries - they didn't have very clear objectives. Nor did I feel that I had any control over them - rather than performing specific actions like in Cockwork Industries the story mostly ran on rails, the direction controlled by collecting traits generated by conversation responses - I guess you could say that is a form of control, just didn't feel as much as in CI. I appreciate that this is in Early Access, so more may be added but from what I've read I'm not expecting much more - there are clearly some doors and objects that you can interact with but don't do anything so maybe those will be opened up in future. I'm going to recommend this because the artwork is pretty good and it is not that expensive - though I'd recommend waiting until it is on sale. The biggest thing to bear in mind is this is a very short game/novel. I've played it for 18 hours but that is misleading - I'll come to that. The first play through, taking your time, reading all the dialogue, exploring all the objects will take about 2 hours. If you want to experience all endings and mastery scenes then you need to play through 4 times in total but subsequent play-throughs are a lot quicker as you can skip through a lot of the dialogue and exploration. I'd say you need 4-5 hours to cover all the endings and all the mastery scenes. Also note that although each has a different ending, the 4 play-throughs will be pretty much identical otherwise so it does get a bit repetitive. So why did I take 18 hours - well I suspect that some of that is AFK (away from keyboard) but a lot will be down to collecting every single story picture for the gallery. Getting the last ones takes a disproportionately long time as you are trying to work out what particular sequence/combination is likely to generate each picture - I had several play-throughs trying to find the elusive last pictures that didn't achieve anything. The other thing it lacks compared with CI is any little side games - CI had the infused coffee and the magical talisman games - Countess in Crimson doesn't have anything like at (at the moment). If you haven't played Cockwork Industries yet and can only afford one game then go for CI - unless you especially like the fantasy/horror genre.

  I came for the porn, stayed for the story. When in one of the very first scenes the maid asks you if she can help you in any way then you know what's going on. You're playing a porn game and that's what you get. What may surprise you is that it's only a starting point for a deeper and more elaborate story. Remote carpatian hills - checked. Old castle - checked. Big boobed Countess? - doubble D checked. Mythos, crazy villagares, cthulhu cults, various endings... you know the drill. The game is certainly not without flaws, but it's immediately clear that it's an original project by people with a specific taste who loves what they do. If it's something that will fit your tastes then you're unlikely to forget about it in the flood of all sorts of erotic point-and-clicks. PS: don't forget that you can turn on the Futanari option in the menu... of course if you have a taste for it.

  This game still in early access keep it the mind. 3-4 hours game-play pretty short for now but very promising 1. This game not only visual novel but has free form and a little RPG element. 2. Renders character is very fantastic 3. Animation top of the top gorgeous even pretty detail pubic hair which is very good boring if all character got shaved 4. Succubus but make you increase your sanity who cares 5. Sounds, Moans make you turn on hope will release with official guide or walk-through

  If you enjoy to be dominated, if you enjoy always being ridiculously restricted in your choices, and if you enjoy a relatively dumb and jumpy plot (seriously, I had to skip a lot of conversations as I felt AI was losing IQ points for each one of them), so-so renders, old Flash style animations that are hardly distinguishable from the stills, poorly designed UI (they don't even have a way to review conversation history, or a way to backtrack, or having more than a handful of saves), then this is a game you might enjoy. Otherwise, keep away from it. I paid $5 for it and still feel like I've been robbed. One of the worst VN games on the market right now.

  [h1] Warning [/h1] Please dont forget the fact that this game is only 10$ and made by a small team, so dont expect the story of Bioshock and timeplay of Skyrim [h1] Graphic [/h1] Technical and artistic graphics are remarkable for a game that make by a small team I didnt encountered any bug or crash in it despite the game is still Early Access. animation and characters models runs smoothly and designed with high detail. [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Gameplay works around three traits, Empathic, Impressionable, Naughty and your sanity-curiosity level. three traits mention above is used for unlocking the scenes for the 5 girls in the game these traits can be obtain from dialog options but they wont effect the games endings. Sanity-curiosity level is also obtain from dialog options and effect game endings, for now There are six chapters and four endings. [h1] Story [/h1] The story is quite well written for a adult game, interesting and not overabundant with ton of lines. They have removed the boring seek hidden objects minigames from other titles, and the rythm between lewd scenes and dialogue/exploration is quite well made and keeps the interest high. [h1] Gallery [/h1] The Gallery has multiple pages. Page one has a section for each woman with their scenes. Each woman has five scenes. A scene being on animated position. Page two is Futa content. There is also 2 more page one for the games cutscenes and another one for achievements, gallery and categories for each girl is various. [h1] Final words [/h1] Its another masterpiece from Digital Seductions, there are many lewd games is available in steam and nearly non of them can be compere to Digital Seductions games in case of graphic and Characters 3D modeling. Its might be a jock but try to buy the game at full price so the creators can keep up their good work

  Well its an interesting premise but overall its very short. About an hour per playthrough...at 4 playthroughs just under 4 hours long. Sure ok its early access, there might be more coming...but as it stands now if you're curious I'd get it on sale or wait for more content. Overall I'd give it a thumbs sideways...slightly more down. PROS: - interesting story premise / scenario - great job on the monster lady visuals, you can tell time was spent here - animations were decent CONS: - short story: only 1 hour per path playthrough - only really 3 different female body types (two were very samey, for ...reasons?) - no variety in the sex scenes...animations felt samey, lacked imagination - only one EVENT with each girl...except main one, makes it feel shorter.

  Another masterpiece from Digital Seductions! Let's go to the point: the renders have an over the top quality that elevates Countess in Crimson from the vast majority of other lewd games. The theme is quite dark but not too extreme or too disturbing. It's like an over the top and way more explicit and kink version of Rocky Horror Picture Show, with demons! As you can see from the gallery, characters are in Digital Seduction style, oversexualized and not your typical girl next door, unless you are very lucky... The story is quite well written, interesting and not overabundant with ton of lines. They have removed the boring seek hidden objects minigames from other titles, and the rythm between lewd scenes and dialogue/exploration is quite well made and keeps the interest high. You can't unlock everything in one playthrough, but for sure the game can be played with "interest" many times, since its well tought rythm won't bore you in a session. Futa is completly optional and not selected by default game options, there are many kinks but nothing too extreme or disturbing for the general audience. Main character has a girlfriend and MAY decide to cheat on her, but calling this NTR is an insult becouse there's no suffering and humiliation. I stronlgy suggest Countess in Crimson to everyone interested in lewd games. For this price tag it's like stealing, but way more exciting :)

  The early access has one huge flaw that cannot be ignored. The "interactive" mastery cut-scenes are just heavy fast clicking that draws your eyes away from the beautiful 3d/cg renders! You can't even watch the sequences in a playlist from gallery later, it's one at a time (pics and animations) in the current build. It would be far better to make the extra screenshots be earned by hidden objects in the game instead of that clicker nonsense. Not to mention there are no "money shots", it's wonderful cg scenes and the MC "shooting his shot" off camera. Even the first scene with Irina, she says she swallows, doesn't happen. It just cuts to her in a bit of a mess. I'm torn because this game has some of the best cg animations/models available in an adult title, but those animations are hindered by bad mechanics. I can't currently recommend the game due to this. I really enjoy the story so far and plan on completing it, but I hope the final release implements changes to allow players to enjoy the beautiful cg that probably took ages to complete.
