  My play time is longer because I idled quite a bit. The game is beautifully done, and once again Chilla does not disappoint. The use of atmosphere, along with ambient sounds make it quite creepy. I definitely recommend this game!

  Why go to Japan and die in a spooky haunted tunnel when you can do it much cheaper in a game?

  Pros: Well Made, Great Atmosphere, Good Scares, Multiple Endings, Puzzles, Secrets Cons: Interact With Everything, Can Be Time Consuming, Easy To Miss Interactions, Slow Movement Another game from Chilla's Art collection, Inunaki Tunnel is a fun game that's all based on ambiance! It is easy to see that this a simple and small project made by these two. However what is great in atmosphere lacks in everything else. While the game is simple & fun there's not much going on beside a few simple spooks. However what the game does best in is in the two endings that aren't the bad ending however to find the other two can be quite difficult. All in all the game isn't meant to be high quality or perfect its a small project mad for fun and experience! Action: 1/5 ~ This gets a 1 just for the bad ending & secret ending can be intense! Comedy: 0/5 ~ There isn't much for comedy here was made purely for spooks! Drama: 1/5 ~ The lore behind Inunaki Tunnel is taken from the myth of the real Inunaki Tunnel however the story is told by 8 Notes so there isn't much in storytelling or drama behind it! Horror: 3/5 ~ While there is a few spooks, intense chase sequences & the atmosphere there isn't much horror going on. Casually ~ B Critically ~ C- Inunaki Tunnel is definitely the lowest rating I've given on a Chilla's Art game, it was still fun and spooky at times! It's very clear this was either a extremely simple low budget project or one of their first games and you can't blame them beyond that! Regardless the game is only $3 I suggest you get it if you want some fun otherwise this might not be for you!

  Hey I'm a huge fan of Chillaz I own most if not all the titles...This one tho...I gave it a solid 90 minutes and have to give it a pass... Theres no save available so you seem to have to finish it in 1 sitting, maybe I got close, but I was a bit less than excited. Lots of walking, not too many scares, except the car that drove away from me. I am not sure if this game is set up for guys like me. I loved The convenience store and night delivery, but I'm gonna give this one a no.

  This is a game to experience because it builds the suspense slowly to the point that you want to know more about what's going on. Another master piece from Chilla's Art. 100% recommended, great job!

  This is a good and scary little game! Reminds me of those obscure Japanese horror short films you sometimes stumble upon on the web. Has a surprising amount of depth, secrets, and optional exploration. The devs used the darkness/silence to craft a truly chilling atmosphere. I go the secret ending on my first playthrough; looking forward to finding the others!

  [u]Inunaki Tunnel | 犬鳴トンネル[/u] is a brief Japanese psychological horror game. It has a strong sense of place that grounds the player’s fear into a tangible and realistic environment. It is based on a real place located in the Miyawaka town, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Translating literally to “the howling dog tunnel,” the site is infamous for people being killed or burned alive. Similar to the Aokigahara, or the suicide forest in Japan, the Inunaki Tunnel oozes a certain spiritual decadence only visible to those who dare trespass. Here, we see developer Chilla’s Art continue their well-executed tradition of adopting a lo-fi VHS aesthetic. The POV of our female lead is an old camera plagued with film grain and a dim flashlight. The camera emulates the phosphor screen trail and bleeding, VHS tape noise, interlacing, and jitter in the analog video signal. This found footage effect begets a sense of photo-realism and immersion that intensifies the horror experience. It also creates a sense of intimacy that facilitates player empathy with the protagonist, since there is one less layer between what the player character experiences and what the player experiences. The gameplay is mostly comprised of being a walking simulator and puzzle-solving with hints of Japanese culture. You also explore different authentic Japanese locales, collect and use items and read notes left behind by lost souls. In Inunaki Tunnel | 犬鳴トンネル there is always a psychological effect of being watched. A distant howl, sudden footsteps around you, and shadowy silhouettes all flag your imagination for potential threats constantly. This ever-present sense of “flight” over “fight” transcends levels, slowly creating a powerful sense of hopelessness and fright throughout the game. I think what other game developers can learn from Chilla’s Art is that style and substance can cooperate to make a thrilling, albeit brief (it can be completed in 30 to 60 minutes depending on your playstyle), horror game. By choosing a nostalgic style and combining it with authentic locations based on local horror films and ghost stories, you can create a game with a strong sense of place that grounds the player’s fear into a realistic environment filled with uncertainty and dread.

  A pretty straightforward horror game. There are minor puzzle elements and three different endings to find. There are no jumpscare JPGs although sounds you hear and things you may spot my creep you out. I'd say it's worth the small price if you want a quick spook.
