Thief of Thieves 機能

In Thief of Thieves, you play as a cat burglar using stealth, social engineering and team members to pull off some high profile heists across the world.

Based on the award winning comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Thief of Thieves is a story of heists and the people behind them. It’s time for Celia, protege of master thief Redmond, to make the leap from apprentice to master. A botched job takes Celia to Europe, where she joins a new team of criminals for a crime spree. Get to know your team, choose your approach on the field, but be careful – the choices you make may have drastic consequences.

A new continent and a new team - will you make the cut?

Key Features

  • The story is told via comic frames and gameplay, where Celia makes her way through scenes ranging from cocktail parties to construction yards by using her skills in social engineering and sneaking - never violence.

  • Stunning Visuals – Unique visual style combining hand-drawn 2D comics and 3D environments into one seamlessly flowing story experience.

  • Living, breathing characters brought to life by such voice actors like Fryda Wolff (Mass Effect: Andromeda), Stephen Stanton (Rogue One), Emily O’Brien (Death Stranding), Cissy Jones (Firewatch, The Walking Dead: Season One), Fred Tatasciore (Kung Fu Panda 2), and Elias Toufexis (Deus Ex: Human Revolution)

  • A tailor-made story – the choices you make shape the narrative and build the relationships with your team members.

Thief of Thieves is based on the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman and published by Skybound Entertainment.

So this is a good example of an almost there game – if you like tell-tale games and their ilk you should give this a shot; but at a major discount. It’s an admirable attempt to innovate and revive the Lucas arts/old school tell-tale style of game, with a sleek and killer visual aesthetic, superb soundtrack, strong voice work and very legible puzzles. It’s a heist story told well for the most part (The core plot is complete by the end; so there no TO BE CONTINUED to ruin the experience either) and the game stealth sections are solid, rarely annoying. Only one puzzle genuinely annoyed me; and that’s to the jank; which become more pronounced as the game goes along. The biggest issue the game has is that act 4 soft locks often and the game feels unfinished – the game did not sell walking dead numbers and it’s clear it’s a very budget experience at points. It’s very apparent that they had to rush to a conclusion because it they knew they weren’t getting a season 2, so as a result, some plot points just stop; and the lack of more action driven set pieces also don’t help. It’s the embodiment of a “almost there” experience. It’s far from a perfect game; but it’s not a bad one either. I had a good time with it, and I adored its presentation; but I’d only recommend it cheap. 6.5/10

First time that I feel disappointed for the game as the camerawork really awful and the visual looks not well prepared. I feel frustrated for the point that I barely see anything with the camera which affect my gaming experience. I really regret spending money on the game.

Based on the cartoon of the same name this game has more good than bad in my opinion but whether you will like it or not depends on whether stealth themed games with an interesting visual style, multiple approaches to problems and an international flavour appeal to you enough to overlook slightly vague controls and incredible voice acting. The set-up is good. You play Celia the titular thief of thieves and during the course of the game engage in a handful of jobs or heists as the game likes to call them, robbery by any other name. You embark on these job with the help of a crew who are reasonably fleshed out characters. However, I need to make a public information announcement here – there is a character in the game who claims to be from London, he has the right slang (wavey, rubes etc.) but the accent is so wrong he is either an alien or a politician. On no account expect people in London to speak this way and do not try it yourself. As a London resident I revelled in it because it was so wrong, more sensitive residents may feel different. The jobs themselves are stealth based puzzles. Celia needs to work out how to achieve her objectives while avoiding patrolling guards and cameras. Sometimes the controls were a bit tricky but I think some folk are over stating this, I didn’t struggle much and I am an all thumbs gamer. There are some minigames for picking locks, cracking safes and hacking. The safe cracking one is reasonably good while the other two are at least quick. The game plays out in zoomed out third person with Telltale’s trademark line drawn graphics looking particularly good in this game. There is violence in the game but not by you or your crew and it is used as a source of drama rather than for its own sake. The locations are varied enough and there are multiple solutions to most scenarios. The best had five solutions to reach the objective and it is possible to fail and to continue the game n a couple of cases. The game adapts to the consequences. There is some replay ability because of this, trying to see what other solutions were possible. That is a good thing because it doesn’t take more than ten hours for a single play through. Finally, the game has some good cut scenes, played out in cartoon strip panels. These are interactive since you need to decide how to respond to the situations depicted and your answers will affect the story. You aren’t given long to decide which option to choose, I would have liked longer. Overall, I think this is a decent game, worth the price of entry – aim for a sale rather than list price – with enough variety and ingenuity to keep you interested for the modest run-time if you can over look the vague controls. Just don’t cut yourself on the accents.

In all honesty, I mainly purchase Thief of Thieves for the comic booky aesthetic more so than it been based on a comic book known as Thief of Thieves which I'm not planning on reading, even after finishing this game, the whole men in black spy and thief trope isn't something I'm invested in. Not the say there's nothing good about this game, for instance, there are some characters with their own colourful personality, the way 3D comic style pop out really was translated well as an artistic choice, and lastly, there's plenty of time when your decision could affect the story subtly. On the other hand, the stealthy gameplay definitely held this game back, with missing audio in some sections and buggy AI that range from hyper-sensitive to just plain no brain which could ruin immersion for some mission. Finally, I don't usually talk about the camera in this case, it was very limited to checking your surrounding, making it easier to mess up. the developers try to compromise this by having an arrow appear around your character when an enemy is near you, but a lot of times that isn't enough to avoid being spotted, and a lot of time being pushed to death and vague into a loading screen. I can tell this wasn't an easy game to get the balancing and the mechanic right, at the very least I commend the developer for trying to make the comic book game with its unique style I am sure anyone can admire. Part of this game needs more polishing, so I can't recommend it sadly, plus the story wasn't that interesting to me, like I say this isn't my type of genre so I can't go any further praising the story, and as you can see there's never going to be a Season 2.

Thief of Thieves Season One: A Lackluster Heist Experience with Missed Opportunities Introduction: Thief of Thieves Season One, developed by Rival Games, presents an episodic stealth action game that revolves around high-stakes heists. With its comic book-inspired art style and intriguing premise, the game had the potential to provide an engaging and immersive experience. However, despite its promising concept, Thief of Thieves Season One falls short in several key areas, leaving players wanting more. In this review, I will critically assess the game while offering constructive criticism for its future improvement. Storytelling and Narrative: Thief of Thieves Season One presents an episodic narrative that follows the life of master thief Conrad "Redmond" Paulson. While the premise holds promise, the execution of the storytelling lacks depth and fails to fully captivate players. The characters, including the protagonist, lack sufficient development, resulting in a lackluster emotional connection. Expanding on character backstories, injecting more meaningful choices, and enhancing dialogue writing would greatly enrich the narrative experience, allowing players to feel more invested in the unfolding heist drama. Stealth Gameplay Mechanics: As a stealth-focused game, Thief of Thieves Season One offers a variety of mechanics to navigate and infiltrate various locations. However, the stealth mechanics feel overly simplistic and lack depth. The AI behavior is often predictable and does not pose a significant challenge, undermining the tension and thrill of stealth gameplay. Implementing more complex enemy AI patterns, additional stealth techniques, and environmental interactions would elevate the gameplay, offering more engaging and rewarding experiences for players who enjoy the stealth genre. Level Design and Exploration: Thief of Thieves Season One's levels suffer from a lack of variety and fail to offer a sense of exploration and discovery. The environments feel confined and linear, limiting player agency and strategic decision-making. The absence of alternate paths and hidden areas removes opportunities for creative approaches to heists. Introducing more open-ended level design, branching paths, and interactive elements within the environment would expand the gameplay possibilities, encouraging players to experiment and engage more deeply with the world. Technical Issues and Optimization: The game is plagued by technical issues that detract from the overall experience. Players frequently encounter bugs, glitches, and performance problems, which disrupt immersion and hinder gameplay. Addressing these technical issues through regular updates and patches would demonstrate the developers' commitment to delivering a polished and enjoyable experience. Improved optimization across different hardware configurations would also ensure smoother gameplay and prevent frustrations caused by subpar performance. Visuals and Audio Design: Thief of Thieves Season One's comic book-inspired visuals offer a unique and stylish art style. However, the execution falls short, with inconsistent character animations and lackluster environmental details. Similarly, the audio design feels underwhelming, lacking impact and immersion. Enhancing character animations, refining environmental details, and improving sound effects and voice acting would elevate the game's overall presentation, immersing players in the world of high-stakes heists. Conclusion: Thief of Thieves Season One possesses an intriguing premise and stylish art style, but it ultimately fails to deliver a satisfying heist experience. With a lackluster narrative, simplistic stealth mechanics, limited level design, technical issues, and underwhelming presentation, the game falls short of its potential. By addressing these shortcomings and focusing on narrative depth, immersive stealth mechanics, expansive level design, technical stability, and polished visuals and audio, Thief of Thieves Season One can evolve into a captivating and engaging heist game that truly immerses players in the world of cunning thieves.

A very beautiful game, the comic aesthetic most definitely works. The voice-acting and music is also top-notch. Plot-wise it was extremely gripping, I had to finish it in one sitting, which also might be the games weakest point: it' not very long (about 6-7 hours). On the other hand, I missed half the achievements while playing through casually, so hunting the rest will provide something more to do. The mechanics for lock-picking etc felt a bit easy for me, but the game is more about stealth in any case, so I really can't fault that. Definitely recommended.

So guys, so far I really have enjoyed this game. You can see my playthrough linked at the bottom. The good: -The story is pretty awesome along with the cutscenes - but you'd expect that from a best selling comic book from Robert Kirkman, right?! -You have options, and that determines how the story develops -There is some pretty decent humor in it and some great voice acting The bad: -Many of the parts involve stealth - almost in an unfair way. I guess the best way to explain it is there will be a box that you COULD easily jump over and hide behind, but NO, you can only jump over THAT box and hide behind it.. -When using the game pad, some of the options are hard to select when next to others. (IE: when trying to spot a security camera that is next to another examine option like the coffee shop, its hard to accurately select what you'd like). For those using a mouse, it won't be an issue. And honestly, those are my only complaints so far. If you're on the fence, check out my let's play. The first episode doesn't spoil anything really. https://www.youtube.com/megamilez (Under playlists) OR Episode 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAWs0BWgFl8&t=151s

It's an adventure game that refuses to really offer any kind of choice or agency. You follow objectives, dodge specific people, and act out a script written by a sexually repressed person. You're generic hot thief girl who is the apprentice of Generic Master Thief Guy. The first half of the game is spent reliving the main characters events through and interview with some sort of weird secret agent lady, the other half relates to the final hiest. Do you like all of the cool mechanics shown off in the trailer like having allies and cool stealth mechanics? Yeah, you almost never get to use your allies, your choices don't matter too much since the script demandsa specific thing out of you, and for the most part you just do objectives until the game ends. It's just not a good series.

The game was ok up to volume 4. Nothing great but nothing extremely bad either. Bland. Unfortunately the game bugged multiple times on volume 4 especially in the bank making it unplayable.
