  If you don't know why borderless fullscreen is so important, you probably game on one monitor. Some of us game on two, and we come to know borderless fullscreen very well. If you're thinking about going dual-monitor, let me fill you in on why this program is so useful. You're probably already familiar with the "borderless windowed" option alongside the "windowed" and "fullscreen" options in some games' video menus. For a single monitor, borderless window mode is just that fullscreen mode that makes the game not minimize all the way when you alt+tab out of it to do something else, but it's a heck of a lot more if you're working with two monitors. You know how when you're using regular full-screen mode and you alt+tab out of the game, the screen flashes a little bit when you tab out and back in? If you have a video running on a second monitor, that flash kills it. Sometimes you can fiddle around and get it to work, sometimes you get lucky and it works the first time, but sometimes there's no help. If you game with 2 monitors, this will eventually frustrate you -- and none of it happens if you get the game to run in bordless mode. It's like a magic switch that fixes all that crap, but unfortunately most games still don't have the option. A year or so ago, I came across this program on the steam forums while dealing with a particularly finnicky old game. I got a copy for free back then and it's been a lifesaver. It's easy to use and I have yet to find a game that it doesn't work on. When I saw they had updated (significantly from the looks of it) and moved to steam, I had no problem throwing a few bucks at the screen for the amount of pain in the ass this program has saved me. It may not make that much of a difference if you game on one monitor, but if you game on two, this is well worth the money. I should note that sometimes in my experience, it will cut off the bottom and top of the game screen by a few pixels - not enough to matter, but enough to notice. I should also note that it seems to have settings available to fix this, but so far I haven't been inconvenienced enough to try fiddling with them.

  Borderless Gaming for the most part works as intended, and while some titles will still refuse to play in borderless that happens very infrequently. The main issue with it is the historically troublesome development and the toolbar ad for an unrelated paid program that was added a while back which is especially egregious given that the Steam version of Borderless Gaming is a paid for product. Just go grab the free version from Github if you need the utility, or use an alternative.

  Works as intended, I can now play my game on one monitor and watch youtube on the other which is perfect but I think it's wrong how the screenshots don't show that there's an ad in this PAID software which I find to be very deceptive. And while the ad isn't egregious in anyway it's the principle of the thing, this is paid software if it was freeware I wouldn't complain.

  This paid software contains ads for a shady 3rd party software "gaming hub" that collects data about you, your games and your device and shares that with 3rd parties. https://rainway.com/privacy/ Ads did not exist before, as clearly visible from the screenshots in the store page above. When notified the developer, with multiple game bans and vac banned, didn't fix the issue: https://steamcommunity.com/app/388080/discussions/0/1735463620093721464/ https://steamcommunity.com/id/Andrewmd5 Also keep in mind that, while other alternatives are available, this software can be downloaded for free from https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases A few details on the privacy aspect: Rainway has people on board that worked for Gaikai, which aims to collect gamer statistics and to move the business model to cloud streaming, literally destroying the gaming we love on steam with things like workshop etc. Notable parts in the Rainway policy: "USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION communicate about promotions, upcoming events, and other news about products and services offered by us and our selected partners. link or combine user information with other personal information." "SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION When we do a business deal, or negotiate a business deal, involving the sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition... We may also share aggregated and/or anonymized data with others for their own uses." As for alternatives there are multiple.   Borderless Gaming is excellent software. Immediately fixes those games that don't Alt+Tab out well or force into windowed mode instead of tabbing out. Would highly recommend! Ignore people who are complaining about Steam saying your "In-App" instead of the game you're playing. All you have to do is Disable Steam Integration from inside Borderless Gaming which can be done with one click.
