  I expected nothing, and I'm still let down...

  When I saw the reviews after seeing the screenshots, I thought maybe people are being too harsh, the game can't be that bad... well, the game is actually pretty bad. Right from the get-go, the UI/Menu is just straight up ugly, and also unresponsive at times. I went to the settings to change the resolution, and when i tried to go back to the main menu it didn't let me, you can't even hover your mouse out of the settings box, which is actually the first time something like this has happened to me in my whole gaming career, so I had to Alt+Tab my way out of the game, close it and then open it again. The game itself is, well, what you would expect. You have a metal detector and you're... detecting metal, which seemed kinda interesting at first, I was excited to see what kind of rare goodies I will find, but all I found was cans, wrenches, hoofs and rusty nails. Which is kind of realistic, but I was hoping to find at least one decent item for as long as I've played. The controls are terrible, I don't know what kind of pipe were the creators smoking, but the gameplay is clunky and weird. The tutorial is non-existent, you just have a list of commands and you're kinda on your own after that. I probably could've looked up tutorials on Youtube, but honestly I felt like it wasn't even worth it. The digging is also weird, you can't really aim with the shovel and if you dig multiple holes close to one another, the soil props overlap and it just looks really low effort and awful. It feels like you're playing someones project that was made in a day or two, and that being the alpha version of the game. There was more work invested into the hat models and random poses for the character to preform rather than the actual game, and to think that I actually paid for this game pains me, it wouldn't be worth playing in this state even if it was free to play. Rest assured there is nothing awesome about Awesome Metal Detecting.

  This is fun when you can't go out. You don't need the most expensive tools. The beach buys rings, sell those to buy more places. Different places have different items. It's a nice $10 game. It needs sequels.

  Not exactly sure what I expected. This isn't very good, nor is it very bad. It is the BEST metal detecting simulator that i've ever played.

  As a self-professed Serious Metal Detector, I've lived for nearly four decades wondering "when will somebody finally create a game for me, a Serious Metal Detector?" I had grown so painfully depressed from giving up all hope of a Serious Metal Detector game ever being released, that I was mere seconds away from committing suicide by hanging myself from the attic rafters in my aunt's townhome. Then suddenly I saw the news on Steam: Serious Metal Detecting was coming soon! My utter desperation transformed to unbridled joy as I dropped to my knees, looked towards the heavens, and said "thank you Lord Jesus Christ, for hearing my prayers." I am now able to fully simulate the exciting, action-filled tour-de-force of Serious Metal Detecting from the luxury of my own (my aunt's) home. I owe the developer a debt I cannot possibly ever replay, for saving my life and giving me something to hope for. Bless you, Serious Metal Detecting.

  how do i play the game awesome metal detecting i'v played and its fun but i ran out of batterys and i only 7 money is it imposiible to play the game now?

  Wondefully casual game, yet after the most recent update, I find the UI unmanageable and most the controls don't work. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend the purchase of this game.

  The game similates metal detecting very well. The machines have the attibutes of the real machines. Learning about coins from all around the world is a really cool bonus.
