A slick integrated handheld printer device from Evolute Systems Pvt Ltd, has featured in many financial applications running on PC and mobile. It has successfully partnered payment applications in providing useful features as charge slip print, Magcard reading, an interface for finger print and in some cases even a smart card interface. Applications running on Windows and Linux in PC environments and on JAVA in mobile environments use the robust SDK provided by Evolute to integrate their applications seamlessly with IMPRESS.

Among its most used features, the IMPRESS would typically fit in an application which charge slip printing, authentication using Finger print. The blazingly fast printing speed makes IMPRESS the fastest thermal printer in India, on a 2 inch thermal printer category. The finger print being one of the most widely used biometric authentication parameter, in different domains including payment and attendance monitoring systems, features in the modules integrated in IMPRESS.

IMPRESS integrates a MagCard interface, a typically used module in a payment application; and also it provides two SMART CARD interface slots as well for applications that wish to integrate a SMART CARD interface feature.

Being a slave device, IMPRESS offers two communication interface options to communicate with the application running in the master device (PC/mobile phone); Bluetooth and USB. To top all this, IMPRESS has an additional serial port to which any serial device can be externally connected; say for eg a barcode which can also be integrated to the application!

Keeping in mind the vastness of the options available in IMPRESS in terms of features, it is offered in various customizable configurations, making it to work as per the need of the application.

Extending its arms to android environment, the creators of IMPRESS thought of facilitating the android developers to taste the rich feature set offered by IMPRESS. Thus was born the Prowess SDK, the android cousin for the Windows and Linux SDK that can be used to integrate android applications with IMPRESS.
