  This is the literal "mobile game moneygrab-VR-Port" : It is one of those "find the item" casual games that can work quite well on a phone, and could, in theory work in an okay way in VR. First, what was modified for VR : the controls in Wrath of Loki have been adapted for tracked controllers, and the probably nice handdrawn images have been mapped as 360 panoramas. I say "probably" as the developer didn't use high res pictures and *everything* is pixely and completely fugly. It looks a mess. This is also the only art you will see. There is no use of 3D at all, except for the fact that you are standing in a textured dome. Everything is scaled badly (standard problem with flat panoramas in VR) and more reminiscent of a bad Jackson Pollock painting than modern graphics. if at least the picture were not a blurry mess of pixels and colour banding, but instead of pristine quality, I wouldn't complain too much. Would still be a low effort product, but at least it would be pleasing to the eye. Even better if, instead of just reusing the assets the developer had recreated the scenes in 3D. But the way this was thrown together quickly without , all I can say is that it is REALLY not worth the price and disk space.

The description to me on the steam page read as “Wrath of Loki will allow you to enter a fantasy world, gather magical artifacts, and solve puzzles that epitomize the genre.” In my mind, it sounded a bit like an escape room style game with some narrative transitions. In reality, Wrath of Loki VR Adventure is largely a “point and click” type game. For instance, you must find 30 daggers or find 5 goblets of each color. That’s it. There isn’t puzzle solving really – just finding things like…Where’s Waldo. The actual visuals are fine and fit the game as a hand drawn game. I think just the description threw me for a loop. There isn’t much for me to say about the game beyond a single paragraph – its 90% find objects, 10% some other minor puzzle tasks like matching symbols. The game itself took me about 12 minutes to complete. I would likely not replay it. It seems far more suitable for children or someone who likes very easy challenges with some good music and narrative. Very surprisingly, the game actually offers difficulty settings. From what I could tell, it affected hints – which I did use one after being annoyed trying to find a stray horn on a picture for a while. The hardest difficulty didn’t offer hints while the easiest offered unlimited hints. The middle difficulty limited hints to a time. As an adult, its probably too easy to play and you’ll find yourself breezing through it. It’s a fairly good introductory game to VR because of the lack of movement and more or less just standing in one spot rotating around. Considering the price, I can’t hit it too hard on game length or expectations. It’s $2.99 and that is the base price. I give it a 4/10 just because it failed to really interest me as a serious gamer but I’m far from the target casual audience. $3 for 12 minutes of gameplay for me that was not very stimulating is hard to recommend but maybe you like where’s waldo more than I do.   Chilling and casual hidden object game, zero motion sickness (you're stationary for the entire time) and nice art. Short but for this price it's ok.

  Great game! If you like VR/360 I recommend this title. Not too long just perfect for casual gamers.

  Be warned: this is a point-and-click game best meant for mobile devices. Music was nice, hand drawn art was really cool, but the actual gameplay content was severely lacking- and it isn't even the game's fault. Its trying- or at least the screenshots lead you to believe that its trying- to be a 360 immersive VR game, and it simply isn't. Many objects are flat 2D textures, and several items have to grow larger and closer on the screen because you [u]can't move an inch.[/u]

  Even though I got if for just 1€ I can't really recommend it, especially not for 3€! Pretty much all the assets are 2D sprites which sucks for VR, interaction is just you having a finger with a laser-pointer and the whole gameplay is just searching for hidden objects (clicking them with your laser). Thats it. I played in through in just 10 minutes. Sometimes the floor is too high and the virtual hand doesn't even match the orientation of my Vive wand (roll off by 90°). The game seems to be done by someone with no VR experience and could be way more interesting if I could actually move/teleport around and pick up some objects by myself. Right now, there is NO point in having VR in this game.

  Czech review down below/Česká recenze níže Well, I certainly wasn't paying much attention when I bought this, as I didn't expect a point-and-click adventure. In VR. But hey, surprisingly it worked. And let me outright say that in general I don't like point-and-click games. Now of course, the theme of nordic mythology and the vr technology that is awesome on it's own helped, but the result is what matters. And the result is that I enjoyed playing this game. The graphics are drawn well and surprisingly 2D objects and environment do work in virtual reality. Maybe good looking 2D works better than cheap 3D that we can see in some other VR games. The achievements aren't free, but also aren't unreasonably hard, so Wrath of Loki is a nice way to get another 100% completed game. The game even adds some inovation to the point-and-click on top of the vr implementation - leaderboards. And as the biggest drawback of this game is the short lengh, this adds the much needed replay value. Another drawback is the price - personally I don't think this is worth 3€ and it would probably sell better with a lower price. But if you see this with a 50% or more discount, get it. Also, it has a cool item for Steam VR Home, so if you see this review having multiple hours played, that would probably be just me trying to get it to drop. 6/10. _____________________________ Welp, řeknemě, že jsem se pořádně nepodíval co kupuju a jaksi jsem nečekal point-and-click adventure. Ve VR. Ale hej, ono to překvapivě fungovalo. A to rovnou na začátek řekněme, že point-and-click and click hry nemám. Samozřejmě pomohlo téma norské mytologie i samotná VR technologie která je sama o sobě užasná, ale hlavní je výsledek, a výsledek byl, že hra byla fajn. Nakreslené je to hezky a překvapivě 2D objekty a prostředí namixované do virtuální reality fungují. A možná hezky vypadající 2D funguje lépe než by fungovalo špatné 3D, jaké můžeme vidět u některých jiných VR her. Achievementy nejsou zadarmo, ale zase nejsou nepřiměřeně těžké, takže Wrath of Loki je taky fajn způsob jak nabrat další 100% splněnou hru. Hra dokonce přidává i nějakou tu inovaci do point-and-click i nad rámec zvirtualitorealizování toho žánru - žebříček hráčů. A to je podle mě velmi dobrý nápad, protože největším záporem téhle hry je její krátké trvání a tohle přidává hodnotu hraní hry znovu. Druhým záporem je cena, podle mě to hodnotu 3 euro opravu nemá a za menší cenu by se to pravděpodobně prodávalo lépe. Pokud to ale uvidíte s 50% nebo větší slevou tak to berte. Jo, a taky to má cool Steam VR Home sběratelskou položku, takže až tu uvidíte nahráno pár hodin, tak to se snažím až mi to padne. 6/10.

  I was expecting more after reading the description. It was too short and repetitive. In VR, the 2D backdrops lack perspective, and make you feel like you are either a giant, or an ant, depending on the scene. Music is kind of cool I guess. 3/10.
