  The game is initially everything as advertised. The game play is a just like any side scroller. No gimmicks or tricks but just requires patience and dexterity to get though the game's puzzles. In fact, the game is quite forgiving with multiple save points that offer unlimited heals. On a side note, on major issue that needs polishing is a minor translation. Rather than a technical issue or bug, the translation in the beginning is not clear on what buttons to use. In fact, figuring out what buttons on the keyboard pulled up the menu was the biggest challenge so far. As a result, the game is in fact fun and worth taking the time to combat through Nazarick. Clementine is as every bit fun to play with as she likes to have with others. The anticipation of working your way through the tomb wondering when the horny succubus and bone daddy will make their appearance is enticing.

  As much as I hate doing this, I can't really recommend this game in good conscience unless you are an Overlord fan starving for content waiting for season 4 to get here. This is a lackluster and average Metroidvania at best. Gameplay is clunky and repetitive, environments are only slightly interesting, enemy design is bland and woefully repeated. The bossfights are the only real highlight and they fail to inspire excitement past your first go around with them. If you're a Metroidvania fan with even a shred of skill don't even bother with any difficulty but Hard. As an Overlord fan I was excited to see Nazarick's different floors and to see even a scrap of some lore for the next season, maybe even some nice character interactions from my favorite members of Nazarick. Sadly I got barely a fart in the wind, which I honestly did expect. In summary, if you're an Overlord fan I'd say maybe get. If not, I wouldn't really bother. Haven't watched/read Overlord? Stop reading this trash review and go do that instead. Score: 4/10 needs more Sebas and Demiurge

  I Love Bone Daddy but this game does not live up to Nazarick glory. The binding is dogshit, i cant bind the things i want and i can't change the movement keys. The combat system is clunky and boring and not worth $30; at most this game is like $10. Only good thing about this game is that it has Overlord in it.

  Game is too expensive for what is has to offer. - Levels/maps are blunt, empty. A zoomed in huge background and no eye candy. - When characters are talking you see a ugly text in the middle of the screen, no bubble, or something like a text field on the bottom and the characters displayed, like in visual novels. - No button customization. - only a few dubbing. + Pixel art is good

  Pretty fun game so far, just made it past the first main boss. I can easily recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the Overlord light novels or the anime series. My only issue is that navigating the menus is a bit painful. Im using a wired Xbox 360 controller and since this game seems to have been made with the Switch in mind first, the buttons to navigate menus are swapped. The B button on the Xbox controller confirms a selection and the A button is used to go back/exit, which is a bit confusing. The game does allow you remap controls, but those changes only apply to your character in game and not to menu navigation. The only way to reasonably fix this yourself is to use Steam's built in controller mapping tool. Which is pretty easy to use. Overall a good game, just wished they payed a bit more attention to supporting different types of controllers. I would also like to see a better settings menu, there are currently no video options (changing resolution, aspect ratio, vsync etc...) aside from switching between fullscreen and windowed.

  The graphics are great, the sprite animations and character movement feel quite good. That aside, most of the rooms, specially at the first areas feel pretty empty with little enemies, or lack of variety in them. There's also many rooms that have no music playing for whatever reason. If you're a fan of Overlord like me probably grab it for some hours of entertainment, but if you're looking for a good Metroidvania experience there's better titles out there

  This is not a bad game, but its not great. I have beaten the game on hard (the highest difficulty) with absolutely no challenge whatsoever. If you are a fan of the Overlord series then it is a fun little game but not for full price.

  At the moment I really do not recommend buying the game. The controls are weird on the verge of buggy and sometimes, instead of giving you button prompts, it just shows "Aiiiiiii". Perhaps they'll patch it, but as I said at the moment it isn't worth the 22.50€ you're paying.
