  I bought the game seeing it on social media thinking it would just be about taking care of a bullied child without knowing much, 4 hours later of almost straight playing, god this game is worth it. People that don't cry during games or shows, be prepared, you will be sobbing. It was such a simple game with simple mechanics but it reeled me in from the start. The ending was the worst in the best way.

  [h1]** CONTENT & TRIGGER WARNING **[/h1] Before I discuss the game, I want to bring up that the content warning listed violence, but not the specific violence. There is clear implications of [b]sexual assault[/b] by a teacher. The bullying the child faces is extreme, and includes [b]*(WARNING)*[/b] [spoiler]the child coming home from school reeking of urine, with the implication that the teacher participated in this event, as well as the other student bullies. The child also comes home on a different day, and displays clear signs of sexual assault: their personality changes; they become extremely depressed, no longer wanting to eat or play; they no longer want to be touched at all, be it the usual head pats or even bathing and they will get very angry if you attempt these things.[/spoiler] I am definitely of the opinion that there should be more clear content warnings. No one needs to go into this game simply thinking that it will be an emotional game where you struggle raising this child, only to be confronted by and unprepared for events that are wildly understood to be deeply traumatic, especially not sexual assault victims. If you are at all concerned about something possibly triggering you, please heed the warnings in the discussions and user reviews. If you're unsure if it's something you'd be comfortable with, please note that you'd have to do multiple runs in order to get every achievement. [h1]Actual Review[/h1] The game itself is an emotional roller coaster, but a roller coaster that has a sharp 90 degree drop. There's so much happening to your kid and you spend the majority of the game feeling like you're floundering, not knowing how to fix it and if you can do literally anything to help this kid be safe in an immoral and unjust society. Based on your reactions to events that happen to your child and things your child will say to you, you are able to 'harden' or 'soften' their heart. [i](I have no idea how to do a full playthrough of 'soft' answers and there are not many resources or walkthroughs to use to explain what choices to make for that).[/i] It emotionally impacts you in a way you don't expect, and made me feel guilty at having to juggle spending as much time as possible with my child, who is clearly suffering socially, while also having to work to provide food, gifts, and items the child will ask for. This is not a lighthearted game where you take care of your sweet little child. This is a heart-wrenching experience where you have to take care of your sweet little child as best as you can, seeing them suffer every single day while you scramble to make decisions and give advice and hope those choices don't do more harm than good. It's brutal, it's powerful, and you're left ready to fistfight the entire country to defend your child. I wholly recommend it if you can emotionally handle it.

  It has always been hard to raise a kid, and this game just remind me again and again by offering me a direct 4-hours-experience with a spare package of "how hard it takes to be a mother", a special one, who adopted a kid born with sins. The game is actually quite simple, the operations are easy, by a few clicks on the mouse and you get all you need to clear the game. No combat or or complex puzzle involved, and the scenes are not plenty, the operations are limited to a small amount and it's basically rolling around day by day with few changes. However, the game made up all these shortages by its excellent script and dialogue, making it more like a interactive novel than a game. And despite of the monotonous operations, the game did straightly show the imbalance in time, money and accompany with the kids. If you want to earn more money so you choose to stay late then your kid would wait you alone at home quite unhappily, but if you choose to go home on time everyday maybe you cannot afford the groceries. Despite of fighting financial issues, the problem of time are equally serious and sometimes it make you have to choose between a smelly kid or a starving kid. Meanwhile, through daily dialogues, you could speculate that bad things happened, everyday, yet there's nothing you can do, the powerlessness that just watch it happen with no chance to change it really got me. Worse, something that might be considered "effective" may lead to a bad result, like you write a letter to the school complaining about the other kids' bullies would intensify the bullying, and your attempt to bring your kids to his/her grandmother would put him in a more miserable situation. It's really heartbreaking, and when you got the end finally get the chance to make a change, the situation would not be 100% better, and it's more likely to get worse, cause that's how things happen in reality. So, you just watch your kid smile, you try to be soft yet instead make him weak, you try to be honest yet the truth are not always sweet, the game offers you varieties of chances to choose what to speak, but there's never a perfect way, there's some hurts that you and your kid are not able to escape, it's a tragedy of the times long long ago, you cannot change anything just feel the pain and anger, mixed with helplessness, that's what it tastes for history about the war. So how lucky we are, to be born in an age that have the abilities to feel it and determinations to not repeat the same mistake. And that's all about this game, just try it, spend 4 hours from afternoon to the night, and that's not a waste of time.

  Now this is something I've always wanted to learn more about. There are lots of games/movies/books describing what happened in Germany during WWII - but I'd like to know more about what happened right after that. Especially what happened to German people who weren't involved in NSDAP or Wehrmacht? Finally, My Child Lebensborn gives me a little glimpse into this topic. Well, actually it's about just one child and it takes place in post-war Norway, not Germany - but it is something. Especially if it concerns a child - more specifically, [b]raising an adopted German child, a son or daughter of a Nazi soldier, in society that was under German occupation[/b] not long before. And now they really, really don't like Nazis. I encourage all of you to give My Child Lebensborn a try. If not for the sake of gameplay (don't expect anything fancy, it's a simple life sim from mobiles after all - however, it has [b]nice story and dialogues[/b]), then, as usual, for showing the world that gamers can appreciate [b]serious, ambitious and thought-provoking[/b] games. And they, or at least I, want more such games.

  Wow, what a game. To tell this story like it is, and make us feel it to the very core, with each passing day. A truly genius idea, and my heart is better for it. I learned so much about Norway's history post-WW2, and I loved that the game highlighted how those people were behaving exactly like Nazis towards these poor children. If I lived in Nazi Germany, I would have been killed for many reasons, and to see the tables turned wasn't fun either. She was just a kid. Also, thank you for making a good family sim, because I don't think there's enough out there. More of us should experience what it's like to have a child, even if we're not there yet, or will never be there yet. We all have an inner wounded child within us, and we can see how they never stop showing us the signs of that wound. It needs to heal. If your parents or your environment was bad to you, remember you shouldn't be bad with yourself. Having the options in that game to be compassionate and honest with the child really helped me. Wonderful game. I'm not crying, you're crying.
