  Not sure why the developer is announcing the most recent update as "new". They simply deleted the exact same post they made in June with these same updates they're now claiming are new in October. Seems like it's just because there's a promotion and want people to think it's still being developed for. Not Sure why else this would occur with a 64 byte DL. Seems pretty shady.

  Do you enjoy tedious clicking interfaces that make you click many times for mundane outcomes that you must repeat daily? Then this may be the game for you! I really want to like this game. I DO like the concept, style, and genre. For me it's the interface that completely ruins the entire experience. After playing it a bit I was shocked to see that it was not marked as "early access". The interface doesn't feel finished. It's clumsy and involves way too much clicking for standard everyday interactions. The best example of the pain this game will cause you is in keeping your character fed. Early on you will need to eat a lot of soup. The routine will go like this: Click the fridge, click on some veggies to add to inventory, click on the sink to collect water, click on the stove, click cook, select a recipe, wait while he cooks, open inventory, click on the food you made, click eat. Maybe it doesn't look like a lot but the game days go by fast so you do this A LOT. And depending on your activities you may need to eat more than once a day. Another example of excessively fiddly clicking is with keeping your secret stuff hidden. You will be visited by an inspector and you don't want him to find your bunker or plans. That makes sense and is kind of a neat thing, but in practice it's just detracts from enjoying the game. For instance your two biggest things to hide (at least early on) are your "master plan" which is on the back side of a poster, and your bunker entrance. Flipping the poster over to hide the plan is an interaction you can do, and it takes almost no in-game time. Similarly you can cover the bunker entrance with a rug, which takes almost no in-game time. As easy as these things are the logical approach (like if you were really this dude) would be to always flip the poster back to the "safe" side after viewing your plan, and always cover up the bunker entrance when you leave. It takes no noticeable time out of his day to do it. But it''s very annoying to click and tell him to do it every time. And the only purpose it serves is that by making you click it yourself every time, there is the possibility you'll forget on inspection day and the inspector will see things that can get you arrested. It feels like somewhere in the testing process they MUST have realized these features were horribly annoying, but automating them would mostly remove the entire inspector threat mechanic. So they left it annoying. Exploring, gathering materials, crafting, and building are all fun. But the actual experience of interacting with the game and making your character do what you want him to do is just too painful for me to keep playing.

  Not what I thought it was going to be. The management aspect is very limited and the game is heavily scripted - it sometimes actually feels more like a point and click game than a "planning ahead" type of game. Some people might get their kick out of this one - it wasn't my case.

  I emailed in a bug, and they promised to fix it on the very next patch. And then they did. It's good to see a company that cares about product quality. Otherwise this is a fun little game that's well worth buying and playing, although it has little replay value.

  I tied this game a few times. It's really just not got what I want out of a game. It lacks a ton of depth. This is more like a game you'd play on your phone for a few bucks.

  Be sure to watch someone else play the first few days online and play the free demo before buying. It may not be what you expect. Interesting base concept, which lured me in, but then there's some half-baked adventure point-and-click game. And the resource management (on Easy) was too restrictive for my taste, I don't do well under pressure.

  For those of you who enjoy the gameplay loop of Stardew Valley, and like the look and feel of old school X-Com and Fallout Shelter, this game is by far the most addicting game I've played in recent memory. Pros -Simple Gather and Survive gameplay -New IP -Still supported by the Developer -Actual decent Story Cons -Even though the game never crashed, there was times I had to reload on account of my inventory disappearing, but this was in no way gamebreaking. -Addicting gameplay.... see below For a supposed adult holding down a job and providing for a family, I seriously considered calling off of work after a 7 hour long gameplay session that saw me play until 6am. I haven't done that since before my first kid was born, and she's 14! Nothing to loose playing the demo, so if you don't like it, you've just spent a few hours of your life playing something different.. however if you DO like it, it's not all that expensive to add to your library. Unfortunately, I've heard that the XBox version has alot of bugs, however I've got faith in the team that they'll iron it all out. Hope this helps guys, both us consumers, and the developers! Well done folks

  ultimately very shallow. building/crafting loop is very low-impact and there are next to no "threats" to your bunker; which makes actions/decisions in the game as a whole feel very inconsequential. what's worse is there is little reason to "upgrade" stuff like generators, farms, or equipment as their benefits yield, well, no real benefits: why would you want to grow 50% more corn when you can feed yourself forever just from picking up "crap" when you walk around doing missions? why even have farms at all? you can trade what you grow/cook, but what in the world are you going to use the money for anyways? fancy shoes, sunglasses and bullets? in all, the most compelling reason to play the game is the story and characters... and that's not saying a whole lot. it's kind of a problem when you make a building/sim/survival game and somehow end up making a mediocre story/adventure game instead. i wasn't expecting much upon purchase, but still hoped for some engaging "base building/planning." i didn't get that here. i did get some nice atmosphere from the game and it's art and a "meh" story to trudge through. oh, also not much replay value after completing a playthrough; which you will for sure as there is basically zero way to "lose" the game.
