  I rate this positive because I want this to succeed, but I have to be honest about many things. I am a conductor in real life, and this is really NOT a simulation. It does a lot of cool things, and introduces people to some fantastic literature, but this is nothing at all like the real thing. This is really a game, with the feel of what it might be like to conduct an orchestra? Maybe? sort of??? Listen I LOVE this but also must be honest. Obviously it can't be 100% realistic, it's VR. And they've done a great job with "dumbing it down" in terms of the kind of game mechanic with the display in front of you instead of a real score, a very basic conducting pattern, and a clunky cuing system, which by the way is REALLY hard to manage until you finally get enough points to get the baton which doesn't require clicking the trigger when pointing to the instruments.... Oh that reminds me.... the tutorials... cute, funny (love the cute and true play on the intelligence of each or the sections), but really don't explain a LOT... like the baton system... you can upgrade your batons based on your performance in different areas, so make sure you look at the batons and it will tell you what you must achieve to get each one... took me a while to discover that one. Now on the game mechanics itself, that is where it quickly fails to be realistic in terms of conducting... You have to basically place your baton tip right inside these balls that appear only for a split second on each beat. Now if you are conducting in time, chances are you will get there BUT lets say your pattern is 1 millimeter larger than what they expect and your baton is slightly to the left or the right of the ball, even if you're completely correct in time and with pattern, you do not get credit. This becomes nearly IMPOSSIBLE when you try the "realistic" mode.... because the balls are not shown... so try to find the location of those balls exactly in time with when they are there (invisibly) for that split second, it's just impossible. And if you have conducted before and have any kind of "style", you're going to miss them even if they are there visible. Basically conduct like a machine, as robotic as you possible can and you'll get a pretty good score as long as you don't miss your cues.... which is very easy to do also.... BUT.... all that complaining, I still love it... I just hope they read this review and start improving it. I think it is a GREAT START.... but no where near great yet. I do think it's possible to improve the conducting situation by using another method than balls appearing for split seconds and something more like sides to a box that allows you to pass through them in multiple locations so long as it is in time... just an idea... in any case, I REALLY hope they don't give up on this project and continue development, so please buy it, with the understanding of what to expect, and keep encouraging these developers to DO MORE with it!!!!   This is a fun game with a lot of potential. There are however a few pretty major things that make it a more frustrating experience than it should be: The spheres you have to hit to keep time doesn't really feel right. For me this makes the game be more about hitting the spheres than the actual music. When the dynamic changes I have to concentrate at being at the right spot, as the spheres changes position in a way that (for me) feels non intuitive. This also makes it hard to concentrate on queuing the instruments during dynamic changes. What maybe could fix it is if the conducting was based on direction and flow, rather than being at the exact point, and for change dynamic you simply have to restrict or maximize your movement. I think this would help (at least for me). Cause in my case, I am not bad at keeping time, I am just frustrated at having to try to hit the balls instead of feeling the music. The UI in general feels a bit dated, but that is forgivable. What I don't like however is the sliders in the option menu. It is hard to be precise in finding position when the hand doing the slider is also being pulled to one side by the slider, so it's almost like a positive feedback loop: the more I move the slider, the more the slider moves me, and that makes me move the slider more again. So there should be some kind of center button or something to easier find what position works for you. Cause right now the sliders doesn't even do enough, and I have to physically move to the edge of my play space to be able to get to where I want. Also I didn't get the baton in creative mode. Don't know why. Also the music in game should also be available in creative mode. All and all the game is fun and has potential, but some elements doesn't feel right (for me) and because if that I wouldn't recommend the game right now.

  I've only been playing this game for half an hour and I'm loving it! It's really great.

  hard, but rewarding. You will need a few failed attempts to memorize the position of each instrument in each scene. Once it clicks, you will feel like the center of the universe. Don't just swing yer hands, rock your body! Embrace the angel of music! Dang good for exercising as well, 5 songs in and i'm soaked in sweat.

  I can't recommend this game. I really love classical music and I have been looking for a conducting game for a while. I played this game and it is not playable for most of music pieces. Although I do not know much about conducting, I don't think conductors have to pointing at every single type of instrument when they start to play. Also you have to exactly point your hand to the instrument with the laser pointer. I think this idea is pretty absurd. There are so much things happening on the screen, you can't even look at the instrument players when you try to point them. Even in the easy mode, if you can't keep up with the song for like 30 seconds, game is over and you can't play anymore. Game is so difficult to point which makes you very frustrating. I think the developers should focus on the casual mode. Casual mode is where you can play songs with hand gesture recognition. This should be the main game mode. Unlike the original spherical system, it is really fun to play with and most likely the introductory level of difficulty. There is currently only one song you can play with casual mode. It gets boring quickly. They should add all the normal game songs to casual mode or add casual mode to normal game songs. Normal spherical mode should be advanced or realistic level of difficulty. Although I really like the idea of this game. The execution is not quite ready. Unless this is real simulation, developers should focus on the fun part.
