  I can easily recommend this game to anyone that can enjoy an arcade racer or with a certain appetite for destruction.   A worthy remake of the second part!

  We should immediately warn that speaking of Flatout: Ultimate Carnage, many will seem familiar and have long passed the stage. The thing is that we actually have the same Flatout 2, just significantly improved and updated. The work done in Bugbear is, in fact, a banal modification that is sold separately for the price of the most that is a separate game, and this is a little embarrassing. The total number of innovations does not even pull on a simple addon, the concept itself also remained the same, the game modes have only slightly changed, and only the graphics have stepped far ahead. It would seem, why waste time — It is enough to briefly list the innovations and put a shameful 5/10 for the work. But here it is, just all the little that has been added and finalized, done with love and diligence it is impossible not to notice, — that the developers sincerely wanted to please the fans.

  First, perhaps, relatively bad news, without which, of course, it could not have do.

  <*>Firstly, the single-player — «career» has not undergone absolutely any changes and was left without bonuses, calling for a painfully familiar game to be played a second time. <*>Secondly, multiplayer is now under the jurisdiction of Games for Windows LIVE.

  Visuals:

  Ultimate Carnage, definitely looks much prettier and more spectacular than the previous part. New features include dynamic lighting, object shadowing, new particle effects, and more. The number of cars in one race has grown from eight to twelve, and each individual car model now has about twenty-five thousand polygons.

  Changes:

  In addition, the developers completely changed the soundtrack, although they stayed in the same style — still drive to under a Hard-Rock. Otherwise almost no changes, except that the AI of rivals is worthy of a personal mention, because they behave much smarter, more aggressive and at the same time more neater than before.

  Verdict:

  MY RATING: SEVEN CRASHED CARS OUT OF TEN. Why only seven points? Here the answer is quite simple — F:UC is not a full-fledged game, just a good, beautiful remake of the second part, and therefore cannot claim more. For those who once missed Flatout 2, I recommend you should DEFINITELY play it!

  Awesome remake of FlatOut 2 with the better graphics and working on-line matches! But "Games For Windows Live" is HELL: 1. The game won't start at all (without any error message) if you haven't installed the "support/XLiveRedist01.02.0241.00.msi" file from the game's directory on your hard disk (the setup wizard tries to install it automatically, but fails to locate the file and just skips it) 2. The game won't let you play if you haven't created an account at http://live.com/ 3. The game won't let you play (will show a weird message) if you haven't tied your live.com account to an account at http://account.xbox.com/

  make sure to download "xliveless" and place it into your base flatout UC install directory if your copy crashes on launch, besides that, immaculate port, the best possible way to play flatout. Timeless title.

  Вы знаете, я решил попробовать этот "Flatout: Ultimate Cringe", и мне даже стыдно признаться, что я потратил на это своё время. С первых секунд игры, я был как в том фильме, где герой попадает в альтернативную реальность – но, увы, без крутых эффектов. Честно, графика выглядит так, будто разработчики специально собрали самые нелепые текстуры и скилеты моделей из детских игрушек. Я не мог отвести глаз от этого зрелища – и не потому, что оно было красивым. И что за физика? Я вот думаю, разработчики решили, что просто откидывать машины в воздухе и ждать, когда они упадут, – это забавно. Наверное, у них детство было тяжелым и они решили воплотить свои детские фантазии в этой игре. Сюжет? Ну, если можно это вообще назвать сюжетом. Тут какие-то гонки, потом какие-то задания, а потом я вдруг понял, что я не знаю, почему я это делаю и зачем. Возможно, главный герой просто заблудился и ищет путь к нормальной игре. Музыка тоже... Я не знаю, что там играло, но это было что-то совершенно невообразимое. Я даже включил свою радиостанцию, чтобы перебить этот звуковой кошмар. В общем, если вы ищете способ потратить время и, возможно, сломать свой мозг – "Flatout: Ultimate Cringe" для вас. Я бы сказал, что это был самый странный опыт в моей жизни, но честно говоря, я даже не уверен, что это был опыт.

  I've played the retail of this game, the not retail, the steam release on another account and a few times on this account.. So.. What is Flatout UC and what makes it tick? Basically, an upgraded Flatout 2 with some chievs and stuff. But saying that isn't helping much so lets just do a list of pros and cons. Cons first. Cons: - uses GFWL - that glitch with rubbish on the road that normally should just bump from the car but that one critical time impales your car thru the middle and makes it vault into the air when you could have got that new lap record or won a hard race. - online races are either stomps or annoying - not the best graphics, but good enough - you might not like all the modes of the game. personally i think stunts are fun in between some normal races with friends. Not a fan of the derby mode, timerun or unbalanced online games. - way too much nitro as default Pros: - you can overshoot the bowling lane to spell "BO...NG" - the commentator in stunts when he gets all excited - seeing a ragdoll AI driver overtaking your car briefly as you hear the car had crashed behind you - half a lap behind when only 2 laps remain? NOT a problem. You might still win. - getting that flatout (doubletap throttle and hold) turn in the curve going exactly as you wanted - playing close races with friends and then continuing racing online together against the world - old but still going strong. same applies to game. - more fun than many other racing games out there. the pioneer of derbylike racing games. - no cliché storyline, just start racing and have fun. - do you prefer to race on gravel, at racetracks or to demolish a shopping mall with your car? Look no further. - match options are ok and exist. typically put 100% upgrades, no bonus and half or less nitro + only half damage and it's pretty cool. If you like arcadeish, not too serious derbyracing with some amount of destructive environment with a flair of stunts, sterotypical AI characters, non-copyrightinfringing carbrands and something slightly more than flatout 2 i'm not sure why you're reading this after watching the trailer, just put it in the cart already you scrub. 8/10

  If game is not running, download this https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/download/576-bulletstorm-xlivedll/ and move those 2 files into the main game folder! What to expect? A destruction derby game with arcade mechanics (yet realistic in physics!). I played all the flatout series (3 and 4 doesn't count) and always been my favourite racing game. It's so original, fun and challenging. You can't find anything better than this, trust me. This game is a underrated masterpiece. I can't express with words how good flatout is, I played many racing games in the past and this one was the funniest and most memorable. EDIT: Hey, the same creators made Wreckfest! Which is a bit different from Flatout but it's the same genre. Great game guaranteed and with multiplayer! check it out.

  Before reading this review, Im here to tell you some really good news. I have found a way to get this game fully working on windows 10 in a way that totally bypasses GFWL and even lets you save your progress! All you need to do is install your game, and then you need to find and download something called "Bulletstorm Xlive.dll". Safe link here: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/576-bulletstorm-xlivedll/ Once the Zip folder is downloaded, just extract the 2 .dll files to your Flatout UC installation folder (Steam/steamapps/common/flatoutUC etc.) and you're done. The game will now launch and you can game away. Now for my review. Honestly, imo this is the best Flatout game in the series. Its basiclly Flatout 2 with more content and overhauled graphics (Which even look better that Flatout 3 and 4) This game feels solid and has aged quite well. Its an arcady racer with a good amount of variety weather it be Demolition Derby, Races Special events or Stunt Challenges. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves Chaos filled racers like Burnout, or combat style driving games like Twisted Metal. The game is very light on modern systems, pulling an easy solid 60 FPS on my 5 year old hardware. To fully some it up, Flaout Ultimate Carnage is a great, often overlooked arcade racer from yester year that can be had at a decent price, and be met with an enjoyable gaming experience.

  It's Flatout 2 but better in every way! ... except the music
