  The gameplay of Century is quite solid. I play only on controller so I can't speak for how KB&M feels but it's tight. I however, in it's current state won't recommend this game to anyone who likes to play solo. This game is yet another case of forced Discord squad implementation. Currently there's no way to play in a solo/duo queue so you will be facing squads more than half the time. If you do not run with a squad, especially in ranked, your chances of winning a game are practically zero. Another missing feature that was heavily requested a year ago after the beta was some form of in-game communication. You have pings but due to the extremely fast nature of the gameplay coupled with your screen constantly moving away from any focused area pings are practically useless. No in-game chat or voice chat leave you feeling totally helpless if you are with a random team against stacks. Another brilliant feature of the multiplayer is the lack of region lock. The game sacrifices proper match making for quickness of finding matches. You WILL be playing with people from America, Europe, Asia and South America all together in one game at times and you can feel it and see it in player movement. No region locked servers is baffling and results in matches feeling even more uneven than they already are. This game has great gameplay and I have fun playing it but my frustration grows with every match I lose because I know that it could have been avoided or helped if I was able to communicate with my team or if I wasn't playing with 3 different regions at once. This is a multiplayer only game with a strong focus on competitive play so these features not being here is inexcusable. If you like to play solo and want a fun aerial combat game then it's worth a go but you will certainly feel the frustration of losing every game after awhile. I cannot recommend this game to anyone until these basic multiplayer functions are added.

  Where to start? I personally adore dragons and everything around them, I have several fantasy books about them. I've been waiting for this game ever since it was announced on youtube. I participated in the second beta where I met a great community of people who were wonderful. The game was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, since the beta, I have noticed a few red flags, a lack of content, a very overpriced skin shop and a few others. After a few postponements, we were told that we could start pre-ordering the packs. They promised us that they remade the game and added a new content. Well, nothing to say about pre-orders except that they had the same content that we could see in beta so nothing much, I wanted to support the developers so I pre-ordered. Unfortunately, after the beta ended, some people managed to get through the developer's doors and were still able to play the game even though it was not officially out, these people had the opportunity to play tens to hundreds of hours in the game, so they had the opportunity to prepare better than the others. To point out the developers were aware of this problem and the people who did it who even played the game on their discord even when the game was not out. And they didn't do anything about it. In beta, we were promised that we would be able to keep the level, statistics, and dragons with the equipment we gained. Unfortunately, the developers did not keep their word and erased all our statistics, including our dragon, statisticks and equipment. The game came out and what do we have here? I am a European player suddenly facing hundreds of Chinese players who teleport everywhere with their ping. Suddenly I'm only matched with half the people in a team against a full team 3 v 6. Are you winning the battle? The enemy just left the battle and you got nothing for your effort 0 exp or money. The worst part is that as a European player I play against the Americans, and the Asians, so the battle always turns into teleportation when the enemy who was ahead is suddenly on the other side of the map, I note that my connection is very good. I also started to be matched against people, as I mentioned, they spent tens to hundreds of hours in the game, so they were able to easily clean new players from the sky who could not even fly properly. If you ask, these people are at the top of the game rankings and you will see the difference between the new player. Example is curent top player withwho in even played in beta who has 17.90 W/L ration like dude... 179 wins to 10 losses, this guy with his cronnies just gets matched against newbies and you can see the results... Brutally unbalanced classes if you want to have at least a little fun play for Phantom or Windguard, when someone is after you, just get invisible and enemy can't do anything about it then it also has its "rage" mechanics where it has unlimited fire-balls and it charges all other abilities as soon as the rage expires, playing for Phantom is an easy mode and most of the community will confirm it for you. Windguard? Is anyone behind you? Just start to smoke, it will probably freeze most of the computer at that moment and no one will be able tp target you, so you can cover a large part of the map. What about marauder? Marauder's worst has nothing to help him avoid the balls that fly at him except the ability to "gust" the problem is that this ability only works for 1-2 seconds and you're still visible and targetable. So you will die because you have no defense. In addition, the marauder variant of the rage throws you a disgusting red filter aroundyour screen which you can't see anything ... in addition, you get an unlimited number of balls but they are 3-4 times weaker than the phantom, so you can't do much with them and the enemy will easily escape because the filter will blind you. Missing a complete advanced graphics setup for the game that requires a pretty good computer makes this inexcusable. The game has almost no cosmetics 2-3 armor for each dragon in total, in addition, most of them are unlocked at high levels. So enjoy grind. Most of the dragons you can unlock have just changed color scheme, nothing new, they just changed color, lazy enough for my taste. I could have written a book about this game what I don't like, but to close it. The game is a lot of fun and I want the game to succeed a lot. But in the current state where newcomers are fighting against people who have abnormal hours on it because they have nothing better in their life, I can't recommend it. I hope that the developers will stop listening to the fanatical fanboys and start reshaping the game so that it can stay here even after 2-3 months.

  Do not play this game until they fix matchmaking. Currently getting placed with level 2's as a level 27. As well as going against people ranked 52 on the leaderboard as an unranked player.

  A free to play game where you get to ride a dragon in epic sky battles, what more to say ?! Ah yes, the fact that it's visually beautiful and very well designed, the animations are smooth and the controls easy to pick up but tricky to truly master (movements and positioning are a core part of the gameplay), the maps are amazing to navigate and beautiful, the gameplay is very dynamic, fast paced and variable depending on the game modes and you can raise baby dragons ! The game also gives you a lot of quests to earn free content and is very generous with the offered content. Now on the negatives, the choice of classes is still quite limited at the moment, but new classes will come ! The game also requires a decent PC to run, otherwise you might suffer some FPS issues, but it's also something that will get solved in the future. Some balance issues are quite frustrating but it's still a new game so balance issues are to be expected at this stage. The impossibility to join back into a game when you have been disconnected even for a brief moment is a big issue tho, as well as dealing with leavers quite often with no compensation for their team, and I hope this will be fixed in the future. There's also zero way of communicating in game besides a few pings (there's no text chat and no voice chat), which can be very limiting for a team game, so I would recommend using Discord for coordination. But overall, this is a great and fun game that will probably get even greater and even more fun as long as the devs keep their dedication to improve the game ! (which seems to be the case so far).

  It's a beautiful and fun game however it's also extremely tedious and poorly designed A lot of the weekly and daily missions will force people to play a certain way, or play a character you don't care about, often even simply risking losing a match just to complete the mission. It's rather light on content, there's 3 game modes (one extra right now during the event) and the main one until level 5 is just a 3v3 version of another gamemode As of right now, it's very clear they're focusing on making money more than they are on satisfying their playerbase, it seems like any feedback the community gives is just ignored 99% of the time.

  I'm going to be extremely critical of this game and the developers behind it because I played the Beta for nearly 60 hours and was eagerly awaiting this game's launch, and have since completely lost interest because of some glaring problems with Playwing. Like I said before, I played this game as much as I could during the beta and I loved it. To give credit where it's due, the core gameplay of Century is extremely compelling. The classes all feel great to play, the mobility is absolutely a high point of this game, and combat feels punchy and satisfying. I was eagerly awaiting this game's launch like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. The game launched and wasted no time in ruining the experience for me. Constant server disconnects plagued the game at launch. Disconnects from matches which would negatively effect win/loss ratio, disconnects from the shop and menus, disconnects from the damn "Press a key to start" screen. The game was literally unplayable. Well, it seems to have been fixed for some players but here's the bad news. The game is STILL unplayable for many of us. To this day, I still deal with these constant disconnects that prevent me from even playing. I've tried a variety of troubleshooting steps, nothing has helped. If anything, as new patches came out, it actually got worse. My network isn't amazing, but it is far above the min requirement for the game, so this is completely unacceptable. Here's where it gets worse, Playwing has pretty much ZERO in the way of customer support and bug reporting. They run their reporting system primarily through discord, and it's a chaotic, disorganized mess where the bugs get buried and likely missed. This is appalling. Furthermore, the developers will not acknowledge the bugs or give any kind of indication as to whether or not they're being worked on. No status updates. Nothing. The discord is moderated terribly, with blatant favoritism towards top performing players. It's a joke. Playwing has recently added an extremely barebones, and seemingly non-functional bug report system through a site, but there's no email receipt that the issues have been received and they do not reply to these issues at all. There is NO customer support. Furthermore, the monetization in this game is purely terrible. It's extremely aggressive and leans heavily into FOMO to get people to spend as much money as it takes not to miss out on this exclusive content that they'll be reminded of constantly via the game's bestiary. It's a completionist's/collector's nightmare. I'm pro monetizing via customization, battle passes, shop skins, etc - but the way Playwing has been doing this has indicated that they don't seem to know what they're doing and don't seem capable of learning from a constant barrage of rookie mistakes. They keep pissing the community off and rather than making an active effort to improve, they just apologize and repeat the same mistake time and time again. There's a ton of other shady practices, like allegedly letting the top leaderboard players from the beta continue to play and practice the game after beta ended for the sake of "player feedback". Balancing your game around the top players is usually fine, but not like this. If they needed more gameplay or class balancing feedback, they SHOULD'VE organized multiple public playtests or playtests that specifically target different player cohorts. I don't want this game to fail and the studio to potentially face layoffs. Working in the games industry myself, studios shuttering or mass layoffs are everyone's nightmare. But I don't have high hopes for the longevity of this game. The game performed okay in terms of user stats at launch, but has been seeing a sharp decline since. This is a normal trend, launch weekend is typically the strongest for a game. That being said, the actual trend line is not normal. It's concerning. Keep in mind this game is still brand spanking new. Many players report that the matchmaking is straight up broken, but I wouldn't even know since I can't play the damn game since I get disconnected before even getting into a match. The way Playwing continues making the same mistakes, completely lacks any semblance of customer service/support, and just generally half-asses anything community related is ridiculous and something the studio should be ashamed of. They need fulltime, dedicated CMs and a pipeline for communication that allows players to actually feel as if they're being heard and acknowledged. AT LEAST for bugs and account issues, if not for everything else. Don't get me wrong, running LiveOps on a live service game like this is hard BUT they're actively scaring players away. There's a lot of attention focused on events and whatnot to drive player retention, but even still their retention doesn't look too good from a high level because of a host of problems scaring the player base away. I'd like for them to turn this around, but I do not have high hopes. Can't recommend the game at this time, and unless they re-approach how to handle pretty much all communication with their players, I may never be able to recommend this game despite some amazing and fun gameplay.

  I desperately want to love this game, but whoever coded their matchmaking must have been drunk. New players getting matched against the top of the leaderboard? What a fucking joke. Pass on this unless matchmaking gets fixed.

  If I may be genuine and serious for a moment… I’ve not had this much fun playing a game in a LONG time. Every time I get blasted out of the sky, (which is often) the first thing I want to do is take flight once more. Even when I get completely dominated in a match, I’m having such a blast that I can’t bring myself to be upset, but impressed; I always take note of who’s scorching my arse and I send them a friend request afterward because I want to know how they do what they do. …I should probably do the same to new players/fellow arse-kicking recipients so I can help teach them. If I can lessen the heat of this game’s trial by fire – to pass on my love of dragoneering to the next player – I owe it to this game to do so. But my favorite part of this game is the LORE. Even though ‘tis found almost exclusively in the item descriptions so far, I cannot get enough of the lore to this game. Everything I read – every little taste and tidbit of history – about the history of this land and its inhabitants gives me a new appreciation for just how OLD this world feels… like this world has existed for AEONS before we showed up, and we have no idea how much has happened in the past. I’ve not seen a world that felt this old since Middle Earth. There is an ENDLESS well of potential for story spin-offs here! The Eventide; the War in the Meadows; Stygitte’s founding of the kingdom of Skeld; Jeorlen and Odrys securing the Valkürian mountains; the accomplishments of the Old Four… Do you want me to go on? Believe me, I COULD. Jesting aside, I’ve made my point. Every name I read in this game makes me want to sit down and write about their life! I’ve not felt the urge to write about something like this since Friendship is Magic. I love this game and its fandom, and I feel obligated to contribute to this world, so others may feel the same sense of wonder at just how VAST the history is. TL;DR… I love playing this game, I love getting shot down and getting back up, and I L O V E learning more about this world and its history.
