  The new civs, units, architecture and objects are really beautiful and atmospheric! It perfectly fits into the "old" game, yet giving an amazing feeling of discovering something new. I am also really enjoying the new map-types, that force more teamplay! Highly recommended for more variety and hours of amazement!

  Better than the Forgotten Expansion in general. + Balanced new civs, within fairly reasonable historical context + Added unit/technology to open up Siege, Defence and Naval battles + New campaigns for the history/story-inclined players - Bugs, crashes and lag associated with new patch and expansion that are yet to be resolved at the time of writing - Generally underwhelming new game mode and maps - Possible problem with running on Windows 7

  Exquisite campaign map detail and creation. I just finished the Berbers campaign and I loved it! The campaign goes back to more simpler but effective formula. The Pyrenees map was so well done! Reminded me of AoE1 Hannibal march through the Alps! Oooh nostalgia! Next the rest, Malians, Ethiopians, and Portuguese! By far, this expansion is superior to the Forgotten, though I do like Forgotten Empire's civs. PS: I finished Berbers campaign but no achievement. I noticed that there are TWO Portuguese campaign Almeida achievements, even for the Berber icon. Bug probably, please fix!

  Fantastic DLC! - All four civilizations are balanced well and fit nicely into the game. -The new architecture looks amazing. - New campaigns. - New techs for all civilizations. - Fire ships and demolition ships are finally balanced. Wait, you can use something other than galleys now?! - Siege towers were added. Why destroy walls when you can climb over them? 10/10 would spam Shotel Warriors again.

  Was pleasantly surprised with the african theme of the opening music. A pity that here they added only one new style for the buildings - African. It is strange that the style of Portuguese coincides with Italians, but still looks great. The campaigns are big and they ARE VOICED! Which is a pleaasant improvement since the Forgotten pack. Siege rebalance (siege towers) and dock rebalance (early access to fire galley and demolition ship) shifts playstyle a little bit, which is nice. I really hope that some time in the future the devs will make an official retexture of all civilizations so that they all look unique (at least buildings).

  First thing I did was try a 2v2 match with AI with random civilizations. Got Ethiopia as my AI ally. Throughout the entire game the Ethiopians built a lot of houses to have large population, but built no farms and no market. Then they moved to my territory to mine for gold because their own resources were constantly raided by the Chinese enemy. More real than real life. More racist than me. 10/10
