  Omg. i so thought this game was more than provided in the pictures and trailer... a bit tomb raider alike but with more puzzles. but it was not..... lets start with pros: - nice graphics (for the environment) - puzzles can take some time (which is nice) then the cons: - very short game +- 4 hours!!!! - very easy - no variations in game play - blocky movement (cant jump on stone of 1 inch high....) - predetermined way to walk (no exploring) - voice acting - PRICE!!!!!!! - ending (kinda lame) it is basically around 5 hours of following a line and solve puzzles (not even that much puzzles) To make the summary whole literately the worst game i have ever bought on steam.!! dont let yourself be fooled by the pictures like i did. watch the walk trough on you tube if you want to know how it is. I think it sucks especially for this price!! my god there goes my money...

  Adam's Venture Origins, contrary to what the title might suggest, is a shortened remaster edition of Adam's Venture Chronicles, making the entire game even shorter and simpler. Visually, it is more appealing, but it additionally betrays an already outrageous business practice to remaster a game trilogy which was already remastered with Chronicles very few years prior. Doesn't make the franchise any better either: The story is convoluted at best, voice acting is cringe-worthy, the puzzles, one of the very few actually fun parts of the previous remaster were mostly cut out and save for a mild amount of added visual effects and better animations, Origins is even less than what the original games were. Cannot be recommended. Neither objectively, nor out of principle alone.

  A bit very short 3D remake. Get it with a good discount & enjoy it if you play it like me 2 times before & yeah it could be much more, more details, more different riddles, more secrets not only a gate & a b..k but its okay if you get it for a low price.

  puzzles are fun, story and acting are bad, control is very stiff. Not worth $18, but I got it for $1 so i am not complaining

That is, they write to you that you need to use the book, and how and where, think for yourself. You go into a cave and you need to open a passage, that's all. How to open it, with what, where to go, think of everything yourself. And that's right! The gameplay of Adam's Venture: Origins is built so that you start thinking not only about the puzzle, but also about its location. In addition, there is a variety here, you will not solve the same puzzles all the time. And the main character happily comments on everything that happens on the screen. Of the interesting things here there is a hook. Yes, this popular hook… It seems to be why he is needed in this game, but in Adam's Venture: Origins he is more suitable than ever. With it, you can feel like a Spider-Man. Or, for example, to overturn the bridge… But what is here, but unnecessary, is a torch. It is only required to pass through the web, although you will be haunted by a mystical one... Phew, I almost said too much.

  Result:

  The gameplay here is interesting, it will not bother you with monotony. And between the puzzles there is always a place for jumping with the help of a hook, research, espionage and listening to funny dialogues. You can only get bored here if you get stuck on one episode for too long. But there is almost no such thing here, the complexity is well balanced. In general, everything is fine, but we could add more dynamics and the opportunity to somehow use the torch in the game. Rating 8/10

  What can I say, it's really an Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider/Uncharted copy. I can almost endlessly count the mistakes of the game, but I don't want to. (Okay, just a few examples: awkward main protagonist, dumb or stereotype side characters, there is no chemistry between the two main characters, not much real humour, maybe very few ones will work, etc.) But why I still recommend this game? Because if you sit down, and think about it as a typical "B" game that you only play when you want to have some fun, it works perfectly! There are few positive sides of the gameplay, like good sounds, cool puzzles (fews are harder, and most types are repeating), graphics are not bad, and one of the achievements is very funny and creative, but absolutely not difficult to unlock it - just needs your intuition, that's all. Plus it's merely 1,5 Euros on sales, so if you don't want much trouble in your gaming life, just enjoy something light, it could be your game, in my opinion. --- Igen, ez a játék valóban egy Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider/Uncharted copy, nem is tagadható. Napestig tudnám sorolni a hibáit, de nem nagyon szeretnék belemenni. (Csak néhány a sok közül: esetlen főhős, klisés mellékkarakterek, nincs kémia a két főszereplő között, ahogyan a humor is csak ritkán tud betalálni, stb.) Akkor mégis miért merem ajánlani? Azért, mert ha úgy ülsz le elé, hogy egy igazi "B" játékkal fogsz játszani, amit csak akkor játszol, ha csak egy kis egyszerű kikapcsolódásra vágysz, akkor megállja a helyét! Néhány dolog azért jól sikerült, ilyenek a hangok, a jóféle rejtvények (némelyik nehezebb, de több közülük ugyanarra a sémára épül), a grafika se rossz, és van egy olyan acsi is benne, amin nagyot nevettem, abszolút kreatív, és egyáltalán nem nehéz megszerezni, csak hallgass a megérzésedre. Ráadásul csak másfél euró szokott lenni a leárazásokkor, úgyhogy ha nem akarsz sok nehézséget a gamer életedbe, mindössze néhány óra lazulást, akkor szerintem megtalálhatod vele a számításaidat.

  Personally I like these type of games but the focus is definitely on the puzzles in the first place and then the story. The environment is beautiful but it's not meant for exploring. Pros: - nice puzzles, quite relaxing to figure them out, quite on the easy side though; - beautiful environment; - fun story for a puzzle game, the stories are useually really bad in this genre so I was positively surprised; Cons: - no exploring/very lineair; - apparently it does not run on every computer (I had no problems, though); - you play through the game quite quickly. Games like these are my guilty pleasure. It's a relax mode of adventure.

  As you take control of Adam Venture the adventurer (sigh), you are pleasantly surprised when you meet Evelyn, your father's new secretary. Together with this attractive young lady, you start your journey to uncover the secret of Eden. Excavations in 1928 in an old French church exposed Templar symbols that provide a new approach for a treasure hunt. The findings lead you on a search for the four rivers out of the book of Genesis. Actually, the story isn't that important, because the strength of Adam’s Venture lies in its very many puzzles and gameplay. Unlike his adventure colleagues, Adam does not resort to violence to solve problems but uses his head. The game successfully switches between logic and combination puzzles and offers a great variety of puzzles with mixed levels of difficulty. For the most part, I found the puzzles rather simple but there were some that left me puzzled. Less relaxed than the puzzles is the technical implementation of the game. Although it's an HD remake, not everything is optically up to date. Rigid animations are a little annoying and dialogues are stiff and sound artificial. Players can almost count themselves lucky that the speakers often get lost in background noises. Besides the puzzles the games offers some action sequences where you have to swing to distant ledges or speed through old mines in trolleys Indiana Jones style. Like the puzzles, these sequences are enjoyable and fun to play. If you like puzzles and can accept that Adam Venture is not an AAA but an indie game, Adam Venture clearly deserves a recommendation. I would not recommend the game for the full price but if on sale it's sure worth a buy. Pros: - nice graphics - very enjoyable puzzles - very many puzzles which mixed diversity - enjoyable action scenes - you don't only have to solve puzzles but also figure out what the puzzles expects you to do. That's not always clear but fun to find out. - very many and fair save-points - good atmosphere of the golden 20s - overall good level of puzzle difficulties - swinging with the grappling hook is fun - good sound effects - easy achievements Cons: - not the best story - artificial, stiff dialogues - rigid animations - cumbersome climbing, you have to stand close to the edge so it works - Adam is not very charismatic and often treats Evelyn very rude/sexist. - music from the trailer is not part of the game
