Berdasarkan riset yang telah melibatkan puluhan ribu responden (dari siswa SD hingga mahasiswa), "gagap hitung" adalah wabah massal di Kota dan Kabupaten Tegal. Juga di Lombok (NTB) dan Palembang (Sumatera Selatan).
