HoYoverse targets Twitter to further investigate the Genshin Impact leakers

The famous open-world RPG game Genshin Impact's creators, HoYoverse, have had a difficult history dealing with the adverse effects of their game's fame. Online leakers have often caused information about their game upgrades to become public before they should have. HoYoverse is taking no chances this time and has sent a subpoena on Twitter for the data of the leakers.

The developers need more details on the users who leak information on Twitter.

The creators of HoYoverse have previously filed a lawsuit against the well-known Chinese video streaming service Bilibili in an effort to learn more about the leakers who were endangering the company's user privacy policy. The same cycle seems to be happening again with Twitter leakers since it seems that additional leakers keep coming up in quick succession after some of them are banned. Given how popular their title Genshin Impact is, it's easier to understand why.

History demonstrates that HoYoverse has a very stringent policy against game leakers. A few months ago, HoYoverse wanted entire information about Ubatcha and served the leaker with a court notice, forcing him or her to take responsibility. This demonstrates that no one, no matter how powerful they may be, can avoid the consequences of disclosing information about the Genhsin Effect.

The tracks go as recently as last month when four Genshin Impact leakers were hunted out for posting confidential material online. Given how well-known the game is, disclosing this information gives the leakers, who become famous and make money from the views they receive, access to a very wide audience. Yet given that HoYoverse is working nonstop to eliminate the leakers, it would appear that risks and dangers are also a part of their employment. It would be interesting to explore how these changes will impact leakers' attitudes in the long run.
