  If you're up for a fun, no-nonsense, classic style, old-school, twin-stick shooter with very straightforward bish-bash-bosh gameplay then you can do a lot worse.

  The RIP Trilogy are basic shooter games. The first one is painful as you sit stationary, and have to shoot enemies as they approach from all directions. The second and third are twin stick shooters that are more comical than anything else. The second one is fair, but the third one is was incredibly easy until a train decided to derail and chase me, which was the most hillarious moment I had in the game. I died instantly, which was totally worth it. If you like twin stick shooters, try Smash TV, Robotron, Hotline Miami, and just about anything else. After you tried them all, come check this out just for a good laugh.

  Fun timewaster, especially good value on sale for $1 as you often find it. Note that I had encountered a crash issue in middle of the 2nd game's campaign which kept me from progressing, but #1 and #3 worked fine. This was also way back when on an XPx32 system, so your mileage may vary on modern OS'.

  Simple arcade shooter that does not fit everyone's taste. I like all three games from trilogy even if I rather play the first or third one and not so much second. This retro feel is my liking and characters are cool, what more could I want?

  It's a typical top-down shooter. It's actually quite challenging. The big difference here is that you can't move. It's enjoyable for the first 10 minutes (or at least until you die). The rest of the trilogy (the 2 games) are more of the same thing only with movability and/or more guns. Nothing more to write about. It's a fun and quick alternative if you are looking to kill time.

  Looks like a buggy flash player game, but to the price compared this is pretty decent game. Got it for around 1,3 e with 4 other games. It even gets challenging after a while. 3/10

  This is a weird one. I actually quite liked those games when they came out all those years ago. Probably even beat one of them (don't know any more witch one). But since then I have played a lot of games, better ones, even in this arena defence* genre, and the RIP games have not aged well. Perhaps a remake would be nice, with a silly title like RIP Retrology where old levels and ideas are recreated on a new game engine with some new elements thrown in. This could work. 6/10 *I actually don't know, if that is the correct term.

  This is a throwback to the quality of 1990s-era shareware titles - and I'm not talking about Doom, Stargoose, or One Must Fall: 2097. The RIP trilogy is worse even than Jill of the Jungle, The Catacomb Abyss, or the Hugo games - all second-stringers from the golden age of shareware. This is the bottom of the barrel - an eighth-grader's first game project, with all the gore and violence but none of the understanding that comes from an adult's intuition of how to create a compelling player experience. Please, I beg of you - your time is worth far more than this. Avoid it.

  I can easily, EASILY say that the RIP Trilogy are some of the worst games I've ever played. They are the secret shame of my Steam library. The graphics are amateurish, the gameplay forgettable, the story could have been written better by an eleven-year old. Do yourself a favor and play Crimsonland, or some other good game of this genre. Even if this is on sale for a dollar, you'd get more enjoyment physically lighting a dollar on fire, and watching the brief flame.
