  It's a perfect example of fast-paced platformer, level design on main chapters are absolutely amazing. Grappling hook mechanic feels so natural and you feel like playing super meat boy and speedrunners at the same time. For a game that developed entirely by one person it's really well polished. 10/10

  Quite an interesting platformer speedrunner. As it is not a demanding, yet pretty looking game, it performs great in middle ranged laptops on Linux: Intel i5-6200U CPU, Nvidia GeForce 940M GPU, 384.111 proprietary drivers, 4GB RAM, 2GB VRAM: 300 FPS on 1080p. Good job! The game recognizes generic XInput controllers like Logitech F310 Gamepad without an issue. The gameplay is easy to learn but seriously hard to master. If for some reason, you are used to detach from grappling hook with jump button, you will have hard time to get used to RoN's system; it instead uses jump button to wrap the hook; detach from the hook is done by the hook button again. The game has a built-in speedrunning and replay mode. Players can easily watch other players runs in the game instantly. That's a nice addition for the people who enjoys watching speedrun videos. Overall, it's a solid speedrunner that also can appeal casual players.

  I don't usually get addicted to speedrunning games but this game really hooked me. I've already sunk more than a hundred hours into this as a beta tester and it still feels as fresh as day 1. The movement mechanics are simple but there's a lot of depth to it. The replay system is great, you can watch anyone's time and slow it down to 0.1x speed to really see what's going on. Also the ingame speedrun integration is nice too. The only thing keeping this from being 11/10 is that the level quality isn't perfect throughout the game. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes platformers.

  I love fast-paced games. I love Grappling Hooks. I love jumping around like a madman. I really like platformers as well and this game combines them ALL?! In addition to that you have a dash which allows for some really neat extra tech. It's super easy to get into it but the levels become quite challenging really fast. No weak shit. Last but not least it has a level editor in which you can literally do anything the maingame can do and MORE. Definitely a must-buy.

  Very well designed grapple-platformer with a great engine and emphasis on speedrunning. You have your left and right movement buttons with 3 actions buttons; grapple (fixed 45 degree angle), jump and dash. The level designs are varied and will force you to learn all the ins and outs of your skill set; you can double jump, reel yourself towards the grapple location with or without dash, run/dash/jump on water when you have enough speed and/or good landing angle - these are just some examples of the diversity you can expect from your abilities. The movement and physics are top notch and the game often revolves around skillfully maintaining your momentum. Difficulty curve is great but also steep towards the end and while you can take most levels at your own pace with added checkpoints there are some levels that force you to go fast or are short and technical without checkpoints. Decent platforming skill and/or determination is definitely required to finish the game but improving your times is in a sense the meat and potatoes of this game. Speaking of speedrunning there are level/chapter speedrun/global leaderboards, replay ghosts, input display, replay playback speed options, speedometer, minimap, speedrun mode for full chapters and the game has robust gameplay options, some of which were mentioned in the previous list. Nothing to complain in the audiovisual department either; all around crisp and good stuff. The game also has a competent level editor, so custom levels are a thing you can sink your teeth in as a designer and/or a player. All in all I'm honestly in love with this game, 40h spent in one week and blistered thumbs to show for it.

  Honestly, is this game bad? I really have no clue. This game is like, built from the ground up to appeal specifically to speedrunners, which I am not. I just like challenging platformers & this one looked fun. Uhh, it occasionally is, but it's way more often frustrating than fun. The controls of the game are basically pristine and incredibly deep, which means that getting consistent runs of anything is hard as heck & sometimes it feels like beating a level or making a jump/swing/etc comes down to what is essentially luck. I'm sure with enough practice I could get really good at the game - which, for the record, despite beating the entire game & getting all the achievements and all, I am definitely not anywhere close to good at this game because of how absurdly high the skill ceiling is. But uhh. The game just isn't fun enough for me to -want- to get better. It feels more like work than anything else. I think my biggest issue is the level design, which can occasionally feel cool and smooh and good but more often feels really clunky and janky. And that's pretty consistent throughout the game, even with the easier levels. There's instances where the game explores a mechanic in a level but then never returns to it - like for example, the level where you dash through bullets, or the level with floating water you have to slide across. It's cool stuff that the game just gets bored of and then it disappears forever, never to be seen again. And some of the levels are just too dang long. Especially a handful of levels near the end but there's even some earlier levels that go on far longer than they really should - honestly, in this kind of game, anything going much past 15 second is really pushing it, and some of these levels go on way past that. I will call out the final level in particular for just being notably bad, being a lazy survive-the-room type level ripped straight out of meat boy with the act of leaving the room being the only difficult part once you have a decent grasp on how the level works. Oh also the music blows. I turned it off somewhere in the second world, like a few hours into playing the game. Generic and obnoxious electronic/chiptune-y stuff that plays out like a playlist rather than any songs specific to any levels and that only accentuates how samey it all sounds. Graphics are pretty beautiful though. And usually pretty clear though there are instances where it can be kinda confusing to look at. This game is incredibly mechanically deep and I can watch the top tier speedruns and still have no clue what's even going on despite having mastery times on every level. And for some people I can see that being satisfying. But for 99% of people this game isn't going to appeal to you.

  Honestly what can I even say about this game that isn't in the other reviews? It plays great. It looks great. It sounds great. It makes me want to bash my head against a wall sometimes. 10/10 would sink another evening into this game just to shave off a few milliseconds from my times.

  A fast paced precision grapple hook platformer with tight controls, level editor for extra content, and a good soundtrack on top. This is the speedrunning game I never knew I wanted. Tons of fun, and very satisfying when you get a feel for the controls.
