  Inbento is a puzzle game with a nice soundtrack, a lovely and heartwarming story and a really beautiful design. Chapter after chapter you learn the different mechanics and make lots of bento boxes. (Caution: You may become hungry while playing, at least it happened to me.) Sometimes you have to think twice or thrice (or more) to find the right solution. The game challenges you in a nice way but doesn't make you want to slam your head against a wall or something similar because you don't get it right. If you struggle with a level come again later and you will see that you can do it. I had a really good time playing inbento and loved the atmosphere of the game. There is also a hidden level and a hidden illustration at the end. Oh, and bonuspoints because the story is about cats.

  Simple 2d blocks puzzle game where you follow a recipe to create a ‘bento’ lunch. The game is accompanied by an adorable story about a single cat mother bringing up their child. Each level you are presented with the goal you have to reach, a box which may or may not already contain ingredients, and a selection of ingredients and/or mechanics ready to be added or used by dragging them into the box. This works in layers, so dragging one ingredient on top of another will make that one disappear. Mechanics vary from being able to rotate, swap or move ingredients already placed in the box. The difficulty starts off very easy but quickly builds up a challenge. With 14 chapters each consisting of 9 levels it felt rather padded towards the end but still a worthwhile brainteaser.

  This is a very good puzzle game. You have to organize items in a grid box, with a fixed set of moves and pieces to add. It starts easy enough but introduces many mechanics and later puzzles are quite hard to figure out, but since there are about 4 different "moves" to make in each level, with some reasoning you can solve them, it never gets too hard to be frustrating. Totally recommended if you like casual puzzle games

  A Heartwarming Bite-Size Delight

  Gastronomic, purrfectly portioned puzzle snacks by Mama Cat Inbento is a relaxing, wholesome gastronomic grid puzzle series. Players help a seemingly single parent Mama Cat make nutritious meals for child cat. I grew up in a food-based culture, so these home cooked meal puzzles evoke nostalgia. Epicureans will recognize some mouth watering tiles. For starter, there's salmon, radish, tamago (japanese folded eggs), spinach gomaae (Spinach Salad with Sesame Dressing), tomatoes and more. Each level has 9 puzzles laid out on 1 page. Each page unlocks a new puzzle mechanic, a new bento box theme, and a cute cat story cut scene unfolds between Mama Cat and her child. Mood: Low key, all chill no thrill, moderately to adequately challenging in later puzzles (does not inflict pain and suffering), kids friendly, no adrenaline rush, no heighten sense of accomplishment. Might make you hungry. Bonus: It's currently on sale for $1 until Sep 12,2022! Conclusion: Recommended for all ages puzzle lovers who wish to practice some multi-steps spacial awareness.
