Dig Dig Boom is a turn-based platformer with deeply intertwined puzzle mechanics. You delve into a rich underground as The Dynaminer, a daring miner who solves most problems using dynamite.

Dig Dig Boom blends real-time and turn-based gameplay, where time only moves when you do. For each step you take, the world ticks forwards in time. As such, you can play the game at any pace, whether you want a tranquil relaxing playthrough or want to challenge yourself with a hectic speedrun.

The player moves along a grid of tiles, similarly to Sokoban or Chess. The various behaviors and properties of tiles combine to set the foundation of fresh puzzles. As you gradually gain a better understanding of the tiles and their rules, you'll gain a mental library of techniques and tricks to fluidly combine. Do you got what it takes to be a dynaminer?

The world of Dig Dig Boom is planned to contain both handcrafted and procedurally generated content. Alongside this is a fully fletched in-game level editor, enabling player-made content. The handcrafted content functions as a controlled introduction to new mechanics. The procedurally generated caves provide a unique challenge for each run, in the style of a classic roguelike dungeon crawling game. The Roguelike aspect draws inspiration from modern roguelikes like Spelunky, Crypt of the Necrodancer and Noita.
