  This is a great game. You can layout your battles and take control of the units involved. I use this while my friends are flying aircraft. I like the ability to mark targets with smoke and allow my friends flying A10's to take out the enemy. This game is a simulator and should not be compaired with games like BF4 as they have no realism included in them.

  It is fun to play as the ground units and lead tank formations into battle but dont expect the same quality as the other modules. This feels more of something the devs added like a "Since we have some spare time lets make the tanks drivable for players" thing. Its good but not up to the same level. If your expecting a tank sim try steel beasts that game is a true tank sim while this game focuses more on aircraft.

  The mixed reviews for this module are well deserved; COmbined Arms has long been neglected by ED in favour of more profitable aircraft modules and maps. Its fairly functional, you can drive around and shoot things in tanks. But the controls are clunky and sometimes glitchy. These vehciles have poor damage modeling, and ground combat is messy at best. However, if you can see past the flaws, there's fun to be had here, especially online where you can control vehicles and play DCS in a RTS setting. Would get it only if there is a deep sale.

  This module shines when you actually combine it with other arms. For example, I taught my kid how to drop GBU-12 from Hornet, and then I play JTAC on the ground - sneaking to a column of self-propelled artillery, lasing them, while my kid threw smart bombs from above. Very satisfying indeed. Oh no, I was spotted, shells landing all around me. Time to run! The enemy wouldn't stop. They kept firing. Annoyed, I turned around my armed car, lasing the artillery who is firing at me. A few seconds later, kaboom!

  I freakin' love Combined Arms!! That's right, I said it. I LOVE Combined Arms. What? Everyone says it sucks! Nope! Not so much. I have ARMA III with the Tanks DLC and Gunner, Heat, PC! (both very good sims), but CA is unique, extremely powerful, and exactly what I've been looking for: Create, strategize and plan a RICH, detailed battle, dynamically coordinate the battle in real time between land, air and sea forces, and BEST OF ALL jump into any vehicle on the map and take personal control on the battlefield. Become a hero or weapon fodder. FREAKING AWESOME!!! It adds so many new combat opportunities, so many new vehicles, and SO much variety to DCS, it's incredible! I get the hate; it's much simpler than typical DCS modules, vehicles are missing lots of things, the vehicle graphics are pretty basic with poor textures (but still pretty damn cool), but what it adds and does do well, the immense play-ability, a whole new dimension of the battle, excellent control, and the shear mass of armored combat vehicles and opportunities it brings to the battle field is unequaled in DCS. KISS Simple isn't bad. Yes, I love my high fidelity, uber-realistic flight modules and no, CA is certainly not that. With SO many different vehicles to control, compromises had to be made - for better or worse, the same roughly 100 controls, control all the vehicles in CA which IMO was smart and makes the learning curve easy. In terms of what CA adds: additional combat capabilities, mission editor integration, strategy planning, depth and the feel of full-blown land, sea, and air warfare, IMHO Combined Arms y is unique and uniquely powerful, especially since you can play it in any of the DCS terrain maps - giving you huge, HU-GE maps to battle on. FWIW: I learned from a real tank commander on - I use the left HOTAS of my Logitech X56 and the mouse for almost everything and I steer with my Logitech G923 racing wheel pedals. IT ROCKS!! MUCH better control than the keyboard, you can map any control to your to your HOTAS, just like a plane/jet.

  Not worth it for any amount of money, it is a dead module the ED has no plans of doing anything with.

  Controlling ground vehicles is pretty fun. But you can tell that this module is a little more than half-baked like when Mouse control sensitivity changes when you change view. It honestly just needs some quality of life changes and it would be pretty decent.

  Good, by this DLC, DCS World becames a full spectrum modern warfare simulator including land units control. I can manage and play big operations. But the DLC needs much more fixes and developings.

  Developers have abandoned this DLC, with poor quality vehicle models, bad sound effects and also big frame rate drops. Not worth it at all in the state it's in right now, even on sale.
