Full Review Definitely Chilla's Arts Second best game so far. My favorite of his is still Hanoko for the variety of enemies, exploration, graphics and overall design. Pros: +Top notch voice acting +Excellent atmosphere & mood. Better than all other Chilla's games +The world feels spread out. Like a mini-free roam world. Not too large but perfect size for a horror game. +The presentation of the story is phenomenal. The sense of dread is everywhere. +You feel there has been a great tragedy. It isn't present, but the feeling of emptiness is there until you uncover the mystery of the situation Cons: -Graphics are a bit dated, but also helps drives the mood of the empty and desolate atmosphere -Sometimes the driving glitches but that only happened once with me. *There is a moment where your car stops and you think you need to quit the game but it's actually part of the story and you need to look around FYI. It took me a while to realize that this was part of the game lol* Verdict: 8.6/10 Highly highly recommend

( Chilla games enthusiast review ) I feel like this game is technically/code wise a step up from previous entries and its cool to see Chilla games implement new features like the driving mechanics . They even included some parts to the driving it seems people thought was a bug but if you have a look around you'll find out :) . I feel like the horror aspects have taken a backseat a little bit to the experimental nature of the games design . Its quite a different experience and its more of a having a lil look around and exploring than explicit horror . The audio tapes were a nice change and being in a dark room listening to them added a lot of tension . I do feel like they could have added More interaction surrounding the tapes , there was only a few moments during the 7 tapes were i felt like i needed to have a look around ( hearing / seeing things ) . On my first ending i got ending 1 but i have a good idea on how to get the other two and will be playing more tomorrow to find out the other endings :) . Now the hard part the rating . Instead of a number ill rate it by comparing to other games :) . Adventure : Missing children /10 Horror : Stigmatised Property /10

I hate to leave a negative rating for such a small studio, but this is a team I'm very fond of, so I wanted to be honest. I'm a huge fan of Chilla's Art, a number of their games are true indie masterpieces, even if they come with certain technical and stylistic caveats. This one however is too obtuse even for me. Many bugs, and it was lacking the visual atmosphere of their other games. I felt like it was going for that really dark and grimy feeling (ala Inunaki Tunnel, Stigmatized Property) but it just wasn't pulling it off for me. I was too focused on the wonky driving mechanics to pay any attention to atmosphere. The game just feels hasty and unfinished, even for Chilla's. I will give it another shot when I'm feeling especially patient one night, and maybe flip my rating, but it would be great to see another update.

Pretty awful game. Took 1 hour for me to complete (which is normal for these types of games so that's not a complaint) but there was pretty much no gameplay in this 'game' at all. The driving aspect is annoying and serves only to prolong the game. About 30 minutes of the 60 I spent on this game was spent driving. The audio on the car is messed up too, it gets incredibly loud when you reverse (which you will be doing a lot of since the driving is pretty bad). Of the other 30 minutes, about 15 minutes were spent listening to the seven tapes you have to collect (the locations of these tapes make no sense whatsoever too). So yeah, about 15 minutes of actual gameplay walking around looking for items. There are 2 puzzles in this game, both of which are incredibly easy and both of which use the exact same method of solving. There were a few spooky moments but that's pretty much the only positive I can say about this game. I've played many of the developer's other games and usually like them, but this is without a doubt the worst one I've played.

Atmosphere was spooky but both jump scare wasted because of shitty driving mechanics.

One of the weaker horrors by Chilla. Atmosphere is somewhat there but this time it is not really thanks to studio's style, but mostly because "japanese village in mountainous forested area at night" setting is stereotypically "spooky". Unlike some of more popular Chilla games, this one is not trying to bring horror into normal everyday environment or gradually tell tragic story (like Missing children). There is no NPC's to interact with, nothing except mandatory cassetes that develop the story, but you might just quickly collect them while exploring and then listen to them all at once anyway. Still, not having "script" is not a problem too, you don't need constant stream of text to have and interesting game. The problem is, that while game doesn't really have any storytelling or NPCs, it pretty much doesn't have any interactions at all. There is just nothing going on. Yes, you drive medium duty truck between 6 locations on map. It was probably planned as part of "routine", similiar to walking home in "Convinience store". In this game main character is not at work, but investigating his brothers death, so we can't follow him at his duty and truck rides are used to bring character through sort of liminal space, to set a mood. Except driving is expectedly wonky for experimental horror and you probably will be to preoccupied trying not to hit side of road and potentially glitch your truck, which happened to me. Loud engine revving and gear shift is more of an annoyance to, to be honest. Still, past it - there is not much to look at. Your car is blasting headlights on fences on side of road, partially blinding you, wonkiness and reflective side windows doesn't really let you look at environment around. Yes, it's dull and dark japanese village on both sides of road, which has it's charm. But since you're in truck, you don't pay attention too it except trying not to miss a turn. And there is not a lot of turns. Scenery beyond road might just not exist in this game, it doesn't really add anything. After first two rides, anyway. However, after you arrive at actual locations... Not much changes. They're tiny and can't offer anything aside being dark. Yes, there is couple extremely rudimentary puzzles, that take you 3 minutes to solve. You'll probably spend more time walking around each building in hope to find literally anything else, just to go back to the car and drive to next one. At times it feels like you're playing sort of mobile find "hidden object" game. On easy mode. Really hard to miss anything. Also, object placement feels bit too random. Like, okay. I need to collect cassetes, that unveil mystery of my brothers death. That's why i go to vending machine site to look for it. Or abandoned warehouse. Or literal dumpster. Why? Was my brother frequent at those places? Is there any indication on recordings? Like, that ghost story said about that place, so it might be good idea to check similiar place? No, no connection. It's literally irellevant. Car crashed in front of me, and there is cassette taped to it's window. Take it and don't ask questions. There is no answer. Just like with jumspacres. There are few of them. 2 of them feel relevant to the story, until you see the ending and understand the rules of supernatural events. Then they seem dumb, like game threw them at you just to remind you it's a horror game. They're also not scary. Locations are barely more interesting that road segments. Sure, warehouse at night might be scary. Unless you realize that there is nothing to harm you. Figure out puzzle, or come with right item just by luck and blast through it in 2 minutes. Locations are not only just random, they're dull placeholders. Except for Radio station. It's beautiful inside, masterfully filled with details in best Chilla's manner. It has it's own unique vibe. Just imagine listening to recordings of ghost stories at night in dimly lit, vintage radio station. People were working here just few hours ago and yet now it's feels so mystical being inside, while your deceased brother on tape tells the tales of supernatural events. What if you hear footsteps approaching from behind? Well, dummy. Door is open, just slam cassette inside and walk outside, listening to everything through wall, while being perfectly safe and calm. And that's probably my biggest complaint with this game. I wrote few times that game doesn't have to have this or that to be good. But it's like game doesn't want to make you engaged in process of playing it. I doesn't have much, but even then there is nothing to prevent you from not being impressed by creators work, even where it actually shines. Elements of good game are there, but it's like someone filled checklist and then forgot to tie experience together. Not a bad game, especially for 2 dollars price i paid for it. After all i love Chilla for making experimental games and in such line of work blunders ought to happen. Buy it if you want to support developer. If you thinking about bying it and it's your first Chilla's game - go buy "Night Delivery", "Convinience store" or "Missing children" first. *smooches* if you read this through, lol

Driving too difficult, couldn't go nowhere, it took me so long to go to different places so I just gave up, also I think 3 endings for this game is a little too much. 3/10

I hate to do a bad review because all the other games I have played have been great. However this one is not one of them. The driving part of the game is so janky but without it the game would have been 15 mins long! It wasn't scary in the slightest and there was no prompts to explain what to do. Every time you interact with something you have to re-select your torch which was incredibly frustrating. The whole game just felt a bit of a mess and not at all as good as the rest.
