The free Bavaria timetable from Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH (BEG) is a helpful travel companion for public transport throughout Bavaria and beyond.

The beta version of the Bayern timetable is a new development that will replace the well-known app in the medium term and will gradually be equipped with additional functions. In addition to a greatly expanded range of information on barrier-free travel chains, the Bayern timetable will in future use push notifications to indicate disruptions to buses and trains and offer travelers the opportunity to pre-register their connection request.

In addition, individual mobility offers such as bike sharing and e-scooters are expanding the connection information and more and more of these alternative mobility offers should be bookable directly from the Bayern timetable app in the medium term. The same applies to tickets for classic public transport, for example the popular Bayern ticket or single journeys in transport associations. And last but not least, the app will soon also be available in the popular dark mode.

Currently, the range of functions of the beta version essentially corresponds to that of the well-known Bayern timetable. In addition to door-to-door connections with specific addresses, the mobile timetable information provides information about departures and arrivals at bus stops and this for most buses and trains in Bavaria in real time, in order to keep passengers up to date, for example in the event of delays. In addition, real-time information will also be available for most modes of transport outside of Bavaria in the near future. Furthermore, in individual Bavarian cities, the first rental bikes and scooters can be booked via "Deep Link" in the app of the respective provider.

The Bayern timetable (beta version) offers passengers the opportunity to experience the aforementioned and additional planned developments live and also to help shape them.

Suggestions for optimizing the existing range of functions, for the general operation of the beta app and for other functions that are considered useful can be emailed directly to the BEG. The users are thus making an important contribution to creating a mobile timetable information system with maximum added value for passengers, step by step.
