According to the decision of the Ministry of Information and Communications, 11-digit subscribers in Vietnam will be converted from prefixes 012x, 016x, 018x and 019x to prefixes 03x, 05x, 07x, 08x to form 10 digits.

The new prefix will combine with the last 7 digits of mobile subscribers to form a complete phone number. This conversion was officially implemented from 0:00 on September 15, 2018.

Not only 11-digit subscribers, 10-digit subscribers in Vietnam will also be affected by this impact. These subscribers will also have to update their contacts to save the information of subscribers whose numbers have been converted.
