  smooth game with great songs and a workshop support that you can download and upload levels with any music you want, the game had a problem with controller not working well but the dev just fixed it in a couple hours, i recomment this game because i enjoyed a lot now it's fixed and this game has a big potential with a hardworking developer

  Has a big fan of tetris this game intrigued me, the concept is pretty cool unique twist to it. but has a person who likes to use a controller tto play you'll be disappointed super clunky trying to move the tetrominos left and right. super delayed kept finding myself having to press harder on the controller it self just to move them. At first thought it was my controllrer acting up but it's not has i tested it on another game. which killed vibe of the low fi music, It's a shame cause it's got potential.

  After remapping my controls it worked perfectly. The concept is cool but it's kinda hard, so maybe it's more of a game you would'nt like to play on hard. Creating your own levels is fun but the user experience leaves me with mixed feelings. I would like to auto create beats based on the BPM. There are also normal modes like marathon without any rhythm layout. Other than that, this game is worth a shot for the low price.

  I bought the game 4 minutes after its release and I'm really happy to have such a good game as soon as it came out. Not everything is perfect of course, but I have a very good initial impression. Being able to modify the DAS, ARR, DCD, HDL and SDF like on tetr.io is really great, it would still be better to be able to put decimal numbers there anyway, as I have my ARR at 2.2 on tetrio for example. It would also be good to be able to modify these parameters using the keyboard, to be able to set more precise values. This was a problem for me as my Soft Drop Factor was usually at 40 on tetrio, and I had to choose between 30 and 60 on betrix. It would also be great to be able to test its settings with a "test" button, so that new players tetris players can understand what DAS, ARR and DCD mean. Great work from the developer!

  I'm a very well-known Tetris player (not revealing my real username) with close to 3000 hours playing the game across many platforms. After playing this for 72 minutes, here's what I like to say: I LOVE IT. I honestly don't see why the other reviews are complaining about some latency issues with movement because I didn't experience any of those. I use a keyboard and the game runs very smoothly. For only under $2, it's a great investment with pretty good content, and it's a wonderful addition to the Tetris franchise. Great visuals, great audios, great customizability. It doesn't compete with Tetris Effect: Connected - I see Betrix as a supplement, not a competition. It's overall a very casual game with plenty of modes for beginner and intermediate Tetris players. I like the modes where you receive garbage - it's good for training mid-game multiplayer versus in other Tetris platforms. The game can be improved if it has a function to receive and customize how much garbage you get (and how dirty) to train mid-game. Overall, a great game with great promise. I hope it gets more updates in the future - any update related to receiving garbage is great, as it trains mid-game.

  this game works exactly as intended but I just dont like it think it through and realize you dont want to have to wait for a beat to play tetris fun idea but it just doesnt work

  As someone who has played games from both genres this is a pretty interesting concept. Although the overall presentation is quite decent, my only qualms with the game is with the positioning of the music map and how it plays into the Tetris part as a whole. Currently, it just feels very clunky to look at both the rhythm map and the tetris board to time your drops. It feels like trying to play TWO games, and not a single, completed game. My recommendation would be trying to tie both aspects together without having the player to look elsewhere all the time, and instead be able to keep their focus on the Tetris board. To conclude my thoughts, I still think it is a very interesting concept to tie both genres together, and Steam Workshop availability provides potentially endless amount of content. But Rhythm is a genre that is very difficult to present, let alone be integrated into a completely different genre. For now this game gets a "Interesting, but not there yet, maybe a little bit more?" from me.

  Moderate Learning Curve. If you think you can play Tetris on a beat, don't come into this thinking it's going to be easy. It's a more technical kind of Tetris Effect, but also more punishing and somewhat unbalanced. The base gameplay is functional enough, but there are features that could be implemented to give the proper level of immersion. You'll find yourself having to juggle between setting pieces properly for combos or keeping a beat with pace and timing that rivals level 22 speed, often switching every handful of pieces. An improvement to this issue (or non-issue depending on skill) could be allowing tracks to have non-random order modes such that placements and combos can be set up without breaking the pace of the track, leading to a more replayable experience. It's still really early on for this game, so it's only going to get better.

  I don't review many games, but this is sitting at 'mixed' at the time of writing which is kind of sad. I've played Tetris over several versions for probably upward of 800 hours. This is a perfectly serviceable clone for the classic modes (40 line, dig, blitz/ultra) and the rhythm aspect adds a really fun twist. The game feels a little rough around the edges, but for the price point it's well worth the pickup. A few suggestions I think could help: 1. Separate the menu into classic modes and songs. It doesn't really make sense to have them both in the same screen. 2. I think a subtle flash behind the board would look really good on the beat. 3. Not sure why lock delay is a setting. Maybe just scale this with the gravity. 4. On a similar note, an explanation of the settings would probably help for new players. A test screen in the settings would also be helpful.
