  I really pushed myself to liking this game but it's too hard. The timing for the parry is very off. It needs major tweaking in the timings

  1. The game doesn't constantly poll for inputs and loses track of what you're pressing depending on context. The developer is aware of this but doesn't realize that they could just fix it instead of having the game feel like crap to play. They instead recommend that you just repress the button when the game forgets you're holding it. No thanks. 2. The second boss has a quick jab attack that is guaranteed to punish a player attack after any move that the boss uses. The boss uses this jab at complete random just like every other attack, so every time you try to punish post-parry it's a 50/50 in the boss's favor. I can't imagine how stupid the later fights must be.

  To preface, i dislike souls games, and I'm not very good with git good games. With that said, I really enjoyed pixel samurai. The esthetics and pixel art is beautiful. The combat was simple and the bosses do telegraph their moves to give you just enough time to react (but I can't react fast enough). Sound/music was basic, and I like the simplicity. Small negative, I wish there was a slight progression system. Such as bigger/stronger sword or increase health. Also, thank God the developer gives you the option hold on the block (vs parrying only)! I hope the developer continues to make games. I went from AAA only games to supporting small developers

  This is a super fun and simple game that is so satisfying to play. Pick it up if you enjoy pixel graphics or Samurai.
