  A classic platformer from the PS1. My only main gripe about this game is that there are some serious leaps of faith that annoy me greatly. Other than that, the level design and the music is very lovable, or maybe it's just my nostalgia talking.

  I can't even remember how much time i spent playing this beautiful game back then. Probably the funniest and most entertaining game i'll ever play.. The nostalgia is real :D Huge shoutout to the devs 10/10 would nerd on it 24/7 again

  I just finished the game and ... **** yes!. It was great. Since I played it when I were a little kid it was very nostalgic for me though I never finished it because it was to hard. It was still hard, unforgiving, but still somehow fair and a very fun, i cant believe it was made so long ago. For those of you who are expecting a graphical bump or something extra, no. Btw for those who finish the game, wasn't the credits the most awesome credits there is? I had some problems when I tried to double jump (sometimes it didn't take my input or something) but other that that no problems at all. Loved it! 9/10

  Pandemonium hmmmm the old days this is one of my Favorite game in PS1 its more like crash bandicoot but in diffrent characters and levels, my Favorite character is the crazy joker ^^ . there is 18 level in this game each level even more fun then the other and there is Level Codes like this LEVEL 2: OMAAEBIA LEVEL 3: NAABEBAI LEVEL 4: ENAIAKBI i totally recomand this game ^^

  Despite its flaws this game was a staple of my childhood and to this day is one of the best platformers I've ever played

  I remember playing this as a wee lad. My dad got a free copy with a computer magazine and I probably spent hundreds of hours playing it. Wasn't very good at it, the death music is very much familiar to me :D its a fun game even as I play it today, the double jump sometimes seems unreliable or you have to press jump again at exactly the right nanosecond. Even after nearly two decades I still remember the highest password I unlocked in the olden days. Level 15, KACACIBA 10/10 Those red bombs are proper bastards.

  Nostalgia, sometimes you should just keep this stuff as a nice memory. This was a great game on the PS1 that I loved. It was one of three games I got with the PS1, and one of my favourites, blowing my mind away with it's 3d goodness (coming from a Sega Megadrive). This game, by modern standards, is just plain frustrating. The first couple of levels are fun, but later levels (lv 14 expecially) are so fricken hard with only 2/3 hearts per level and very long checkpoints. Also the game speed stutters from slow to sometimes stupid fast, making jumps and timing difficult. This is a lazy port, with NOTHING to add on the original, but is not as good as the original. It's also not aged very well. Don't bother with unless you really need to remind yourself of fond memories.

  i used to love this game back in my youth... but the thing/truth is this is just an emulated (and poorly) psx iso... not worth your money even for nostalgia's sake . better play is on an actual emulator or better yet on the original machine... totally not worth as a buy...

  It...doesn't really work properly. Okay it does "technically" work but there are far too many caveats for me to recommend buying it, which include: 1. Launching it through Steam seems to break most controller functionality. The only way I've been able to make a controller work properly is by launching "Pand3.exe" through the game folder directly (hence the low playtime). When it's launched normally through Steam the overlay bugs out and the loading screens sort of break along with the controller. Disabling Steam overlay fixes the load screens but not the controller. 2. The way the music is handled in this version compared to the PS1 version is atrocious. In that version there are very often two music tracks a stage, and it will transition to the second one when you reach a certain point in the level; not so in this version. In most cases this version will just loop the first track endlessly with a noticeable silence before it loops again. In the case of the second level it actually loops the second track all stage, which feels really out of place. On the one stage that managed to retain the two tracks, there was a very noticeable stutter as it switched to it that isn't present in the PS1 version. The tracks also feel like poorly remixed versions of the originals, all of them feel slightly "off" in some way. 3. Sometimes your character will speed up loads for no apparent reason, this happens even if you have the framerate set to default in Glide. 4. A lot of textures are wrong or changed from the original, always to poorer ones. 5. The nice animations from the loading screens are broken on this version. Not a huge deal but it does suck a bit of the charm out of the game, and makes you feel like the game is about to crash every time it has to load. This however could be a result of it freaking out because it was never designed for SSDs. My advice, play the PS1 version emulated. It's easier to configure, a lot more stable, and all of these issues I mentioned are absent; it's just the superior version. This is clearly a case of Square Enix spitting the inferior Windows 95 version of the game onto Steam with a Glide wrapper and calling it a day. Any visual enhancements or AA you can use on this version thanks to Glide can easily be equalled or bested by tweaking emulation settings. Simply put, they shouldn't be selling this on Steam. The game itself is a solid 2.5D platformer from the early days of 3D graphics, but this lazy "port" doesn't do it justice.
