Nice CGs and elaborate description of sex scenes. I have a lot of fun playing this game. Moderate difficulty with multiple endings that affected by in-game choices you made. Overall, this game is worth my money.

to be honest...both this one & claire are the best H game I've ever played... one hand hold the phone to use google translate.. the other hand use the mouse...but where's the third hand to hold my weapon???? a I18n patch is important I know it's a hard work...but that will let more players understand and play these game...

The mature content description of this game should have included a FULL descriptor of ALL the fetishes included in game so potential players know what they're getting into before playing. That should be necessary for all adult games. Beastiality should have definitely been mentioned. Had I known beforehand that that would be an unavoidable part of the game, I wouldn't have bought it! There is also a possibly underaged NPC being sexually assaulted by their family pet in the game. (I can't remember the character's name but I know her dog's name is "Rex.") I haven't found any confirmation regarding the character's age yet, but her notes and descriptors for her genitalia and the sexual encounters she endures imply that she's young and has never had sex before. (She uses phrases like "my naughty place" and "his lower thingy.") If anyone could confirm this character's age for me, that'd be appreciated. I can't recall of the game's intro page including any confirmation that all the characters depicted in game are 18+, only that they're fictitious characters. Certain end scenes are unavoidable, so you have to deal with the main character going through the same ending scene repeatedly because there is no skip button for game ending scenes. There are skip buttons for normal/combat interactions, but if MC just happens to lose morale in the middle of a zombie swarm then you're sh-t outta luck and have to go through the entire end scene. Every. Time. There is no fast-forward option either so you just gotta wait! Close-combat weapons like the knives and axes are also a bit janky at times and can get the character stuck in some spots or won't hit the antagonists properly - at least for the feral dogs, in my experience. I also had to reset the "hit" key to a different button because it wouldn't work when I played this on my Steamdeck. The control guide is only set up for keyboard, so learning the controls with a console was a bit of a guessing game. Overall, it's a decent setup for an indie erotic game. The text can be a bit long-winded at times and the controls are also a bit janky, but that's nothing that can't be fixed with some updates. However, the lack of acknowledgement for more nefarious fetishes - like beastiality - in the game descriptor and/or even on the game's store page makes me reluctant to play this again. I shouldn't have to look up someone else's gameplay/review/forum post just to get an *idea* of what fetishes are going to be in your game because you only listed a portion of what's included.

Excellent writing on a porn game of all things. Actually finished an earlier version on an old PC. Now that it's updated and available on steam, it got even better with more content and another ending. Getting that new ending scenario is a real bitch to get though.
At a Glance

(Adult) Content (F, FxM) Sexual content.

Censorship No. Woot! Woot!

Hours of Gameplay Three or more hours.

Modding Support? No.

Patch Available? No, not neccesary.

Overgrown: Genesis is a lewd, top-down shooter about Juno's struggle following the end of the world.
Gameplay
Go from point "A" to point "B", and ration your every resource. Items are rare and valuable, especially ammunition. Enemies are fought in real time, but should be avoided if possible. Losing a close-quarters struggle to an enemy will result in "infection", if you get too much of it — it's game over.
Story
The world as we know it as come to an end — the result of deforestation. But it didn't end in the way you'd think it would. You'd think it would be climate change or "global warming" that'd do the world in. Rather, it was due to a fungus informally named the Parasite, uncovered (and inadvertantly released) from deep within an Amazonian rainforest. It would infect mankind, tranforming them into slaves of sexual desire, resulting in what is know as the Infection. All that's left of humanity are a few havens led by the Suits. You play as Juno Townsend. She's in desperate need of supplies, so she looks to the Suits for work. They task her with replacing a local generator, which means that she must enter infected zone. Unfortunately, that's not where her problems start — without documents proving that she is a qualified engineer, the Suits won't hire her. So she has find a man named Billy, a sort of king-pin of connections. In exchange for forging her papers, he sends Juno on a fetch quest. That, or she sucks him off. Your call — I opted for the sewers. With her forged papers in hand, Juno returns to the Suits and collects an armed escort. She meets the police chieftain, Gaven. I like Gaven. He's a ragin' sexist with looks. They venture into the infected zone, and along the way they pick up a no-name man in a labcoat. After fixing the generator, Gavin and his crew decide to. . . have their way with Juno. What?! Gaven was a bad guy?
Visuals
First thing I notice — the application is rendered in a four-to-three ratio, which is dissapointing. I was hoping that it'd fill my screen. Anywho, the titlescreen looks pretty good (for an RPGMaker game). It's appealing to look at, and I'd say it looks darn near professional. The "Options" screen will allow you to set audio and gameplay preferences. I must say, I thoroughly impressed by the visuals. There are little, if any RPGMaker defaults to be seen here. - The Goods - The artwork is darned good. What's a shame is how brief the sexual encounters are, for anyone interested in. . . juicy details. Considering there's a Gallery and and a "skip" button, I think it would be fair to extend scenes (or provide the option to do so). Expect female, male-on-female sexual content.
Verdict
Wait for a light sale, it won't kill you. I can't say if this this title is worth full price yet — I've yet to beat the game. However, this game feels like a high-budget, lewd title.
Support the Wombat
If you enjoy my reviews, please follow my Curator page. Pardon me for being the first ever English negative review here but do [strike]hear[/strike] read me out. This review applies only to the current version of the game and things may change for the better (or worse) in the future. First, the usual pros and cons. The strong point of this game are: + Beautiful art + Lovely pixel art sprites especially the portraits. + Decent settings and world building + Strong female lead The negatives - Game is too difficult (by my standard anyway) - Most of the "special" arts are just so-so - RPG maker aspect ratio Let's address the elephant in the room here, for me the biggest problem is how difficult this game is. While inspired by Resident Evil, this game is possibly harder than Resident Evil games themselves due to one thing; resource scarcity. Lack of resources is quite normal in games like this as it adds some realism but I think this game is brutal if you choose not to use
cheat
. Even if you do, it's still very annoying and difficult to go through. There is no difficulty settings either. I often find myself in a situation where I have enough ammunition to kill maybe 3 to 4 zombies but there are at least 20 in that area. Essentially the game force you to juke but the problem is the path and map isn't really meant for it. How do I juke in a long and narrow corridor with several zombies in the way and given insufficient ammo or weapon to deal with them? I find it not possible to clear the subway station map because there are just too many crawler zombie and I had to resort to
cheat
. Also, Save scumming seems to be a must here. The game introduce this darkness thing that requires batteries to power the flashlight and it runs out when you've made 100 steps (for each battery). It may sound OK on paper but in practice this is too little especially when we're trying to juke and void zombies we'll waste many steps. Once you run out of battery you're as good as dead unless you memorized every zombie in the map but they do wander around. The zombies can sense you through walls and this is very unfair in the dark when they can see you but not the other way around. Next, let's talk about infection level. Every time Juno got hit by a zombie while her struggle is on cooldown. She gets r***d. This increases her infection level by 1 for normal zombies and 2 by special zombies like dog zombie. When infection level gets somewhat high (4 and above I believe), going to sleep is instant Game Over. To make it worse, the dev decided to punish player further by making it more annoying to accumulate infection. Basically Juno at high infection level (above 4 I think) will randomly stop whatever she's doing and rub herself, even when enemy approach or during a fight. What gets more annoying is the field of vision gets narrow the higher the infection level (in dark places when you're out of batteries, you're almost blind!) That's just me whining but what makes this a legit problem is the lack of ways to clear the infection. Infection can only be removed by using an item called disinfectant. What sucks is there are very little disinfectants in the game and each one can only remove 1 infection. So if Juno got 7 infection, you'll need 7 to fully clear the infection but this thing is so rare you'll likely not have enough. Next, is the meelee weapons. For some reason (maybe due to bug), meelee weapon breaks on single use. The Fireman Axe state there 3 uses but when I use it once on a dog zombie it instantly breaks. Same goes to other meelee weapon like the crowbar which is needed to enter the subway. Conclusion In my opinion, this game is very frustrating to play therefore I do not recommend it at this stage. You can make this sort of game challenging to some degree but I don't think it works if it's too difficult.

Has arbitrary instant death sequences and bad arena boss encounters that will result in too many forced close and reopen launcher moments.

This is probably one of the best - if not the best - adult game I've played so far. I'll talk about the main reason as to why you would play this game first and get to the (sucky) gameplay later. F4 to fullscreen, H to hide UI btw. Now, I personally found 99% of the content in the game very enjoyable and absolutely hot - and probably even got a new kink out of it, which I didn't really think possible at this point... Anyway, back to my point: if you decide to play this, you likely are full on board with (not always literal) monsters having their way with sexy girls (up to the point of mindbreak and regardless of pregnancy), but you might not be entirely on board with everything. The biggest thing some people may have issues with is that there's an infected dog enemy in the game, so take that as you will. Now, I'll put in a spoiler something that was a very pleasant surprise for me, so if you'd rather be not ruin your surprise, please skip it. :)
If you like dominant monster girls with big dicks, you're in for a treat in the last part of the game. And she's even voiced! Ending A is best ending. <3
As you'd expect, there's a gallery in this game. But, unlike pretty much all the other games I know of, you don't unlock scenes as you normally would. Instead, once you get to a checkpoint, you'll get all the scenes for an enemy. Which I think is amazing, as you can play through the game normally without having to purposefully "lose" to enemies and without having to worry about missing something. (However, there are three friendly NPCs whose scenes you actually need to unlock. They're are hard to miss, but possible to miss.) Oh yeah, and the art and custom soundtrack
as well as the voiced futa mistress
are amazing. As for the story and the setting... Quite frankly - it's amazing (if we ignore some of the spelling errors). I would've never expected to find one of the better thought up zombie apocalypses in a porn game. The writing is really this game's strong suit. I'd say this could've been just a story driven game with barely any/no porn at all and it still would've been great. (You can actually play it that way.) The characters are well fleshed out (for a porn game, anyway), serve a purpose and the overall atmosphere is splendid. There's also multiple endings and they're all pretty good. Some are hotter than others, depending on what you're into... There's also a pretty wholesome ending, which is certainly welcome, even in a game like this. Though, to get one of the endings you need to collect all eight collectible notes scattered thorough the game and the first one is very easy to miss.
When you start and go to the government building to ask for a job, there's an easily missable way into another room in the bottom right of the main room.
Now for the gameplay... It's nothing to write home about. It's not why you would want to play this game anyway, but still worth pointing out. The combat is pretty meh and sometimes not very responsive, it just doesn't feel as snappy as in other RPGM games I've played. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the engine itself or just poorly implemented. But it's not too bad and definitely manageable. Coupled with rather scarce ammunition and the questionable decision to make melee weapons non-repairable and only have 1/2/3 uses, it can be pretty tough to get through some areas. With that said, the AI is pretty basic and you can quite easily sneak past or outrun almost all the enemies. If it comes to it, you can even use your body to defeat them (but with the infection mechanic you can only do it a couple of times, before you need to lower your infection through consumables or some one-time events). EDIT: Moved the "disclaimer" at the beginning to the bottom since it's no longer relevant. [strike]I feel this needs to be highlighted: Currently only version 1.0.1 is on Steam for some reason, while version 1.0.2 with some critical bugfixes has been out since early October on sites such as f95zone, which is either the dev being incompetent or negligent. (Not to mention the postgame bonus scenes probably aren't happening either.) Either way this irritates me greatly. If you do want to the full experience (that you paid for) go download the game and replace the files in your Steam folder. I'm not petty enough to change my review to negative because of this, but this doesn't exactly make me want to give this developer any money in the future.[/strike] Well, it took around a year for the bugfix to get here, but hey, better late then never. Still probably would've been nice if if was pushed last year, but oh well. The post ending scenes are actually a thing now as well (and supposedly there's more to come), so, good on you devs. I'll leave what I wrote before below, but no need to read it now.
