Nature And Life - Drunk On Nectar 遊戲特點

Drunk On Nectar is a Nature Simulation game about animals, plants and ecology. Play as animals, simulate ecosystems in sandbox mode and a lot more.

DoN aims to provide the most comprehensive nature experience gaming has ever seen. To this end, the game has been built at invertebrate-scale (a 0.1 mm accurate micro world) for an unprecedented level of detail. Plants in DoN are not flat props but living, growing entities that flower, pollinate and propagate across seasons like real plants. Finally, each species has unique gameplay depending on its morphology.

The current release features 11 invertebrate species:

  • Monarch Butterfly (will full lifecycle from Caterpillar to adult!)

  • Jumping Spider (Phidippus Regius, with Lifecycle upto Third Instar)

  • Parasitic Wasp (Blue Mud Dauber with egg laying, nesting gameplay)

  • Japanese Tiger Beetle

  • Grasshopper

  • The Ladybug Beetle

  • Dragonfly (Common Hawker)

  • Ants & Mealybugs (mutualism)

  • Butterfly (Viceroy)

  • Bee (Solitary).

Plants are first-class citizens in DoN and expected to play an increasingly important role over time.

Additional species of animals, plants and ecological phenomena are planned for addition once the game's EA goals (read above) have been met. You are welcome to vote for a creature or plant you're excited about for addition in the community forums!

Now that I have managed to survive for a day in the game, I will write this review. I haven't played all modes or all bugs yet but I think I've seen enough to say the following: SURVIVAL: So far I am enjoying this game. I spent about an hour in survival mode just trying to learn the game. I managed to actually survive a day as a bee on easy difficulty. I think it's better to wait to play as the spider or dragonfly, as it's much harder to feed yourself by hunting than by foraging nectar. Even on easy it seemed like the survival was a little too... grindy? If you focus on anything other than eating nectar the entire time, you are going to die. It wasn't until after I had already survived a day that I tried the other mode - Nature Sandbox. >>>>NATURE SANDBOX: START HERE!<<<< At least in my opinion, I think it would have been better to start in the sandbox. You can jump between playing as any of the bugs already in the world. Much better for exploring and learning the game than jumping straight into survival. As I type this I realize how obvious that sounds, but at first I had assumed that the sandbox was just a spectator-only mode. WISHLIST: Better tutorial - The tutorial pages are a little overwhelming at first. It was hard to retain most of the info, I found myself having to constantly reread it after dying in various ways in order to find out how I could have prevented my death. It's not that the controls are difficult or unintuitive, it's just a lot to learn and there will be much trial and error. More levels - Only one map so far. I'm confident that there will end up being more than one level based on the dev notes, but I am mentioning it anyway. Multiplayer - Devs say this is low priority, but I think it could bring A LOT of fun and replay value to this game. Team deathmatch and Racing are two multiplayer modes that I think would be quite fun. Pretty stoked on this game.

Pros: Nice developer - Interacts with the community frequently. Models - The actual models of the animals are nice to look at. Calming and relaxing - The game itself is calming (at least to me,) with a happy soundtrack and vibrant visuals. Nature Sandbox - It is fun to be able to make large areas and fill them with animals, and with the brush mode simplifies tasks like these. Neutral: Amount of content - Only a few months old. Few animals, few modes, but those are being worked on. Gameplay - Simple (for now,) you select one of the current animals and attempt to survive 1 day. Cons: Primary gamemode's length of time - The mode lasts about 10-15 minutes each time. It is quite short.

This game is fun. You shall buy it! I think this game deserve a better explaination. It´s a game that focuses on the life of invertebrates. The invertebrates rarely gets the love or attention they need. They are beautiful animals and deserve the attention which this games provides. This games main focus is: to stimulate the life of inverebrates. Right now the monarch got it´s entire lifestyle complex (except for reproduction). The animals I enjoy to play most as: Monarch butterfly: i adore it´s catepillar stage, it´s so fun and cute to stay out as a tiny catepillar, then turn into a behemoth, that has to search for a place to form it´s cocoon, and turn into a pupae. After emerching from the pupae, you will get the realistic look on, how a monarch buttefly emerches from it´s protected shell and takes to the sky. Dragonfly: I like this airborn predator, I like hunting prey, and snack on them. I love the speed, the dragonfly provides. I can´t wait for it´s larva stages to be added. Jumping spider is too wonkie for me xD and the solitary bee is cool, but I like dragonfly and monarch more. I recommend buying this game, because it´s still early access, and the devs are friendly and listen to their buyers. You can even suggest invertebrates to be added, and see if they do so. Plus multiplayer is going to be a thing, so we are waiting for it to be added, so we can hunt each other :D It´s a nice game, and I don´t regret buying it :D

First time ever making a review and it's for an unassuming, obscure little Early-Access game called Drunk on Nectar. I feel it's fitting; I love insects and arachnids ever since I was a kid and I've always wanted a game like this to come into fruition. Now that it's finally here.... I LOVE it. A lot. At this current point in time, the game has three modes to choose from. Creature Quest issues challenges for the player to complete in as quick a time as possible for a spot on the leaderboard. Life of Animals allows the play to either survive as their chosen critter through the first day of spring (foraging/hunting for food whilst avoiding predators), or allows the player to freely explore the map without the pressing need for food. Nature Sandbox allows you to build your own ecosystem, choosing the plants and animals you put in. It also allows you to take control of any of the animals in said ecosystem. This is also a great platform with which to practice the controls and get the hang of your chosen bug. As for the bugs you can choose from, the game currently allows players to control from the following: CARNIVORES Dragonfly Jumping Spider Ladybird/Ladybug HERBIVORES Bee Monarch Butterfly (both caterpillar and adult are available to choose from) Viceroy Butterfly Also available to play on Nature Sandbox are Ants and Mealybugs. The roster will grow to include more (the Lacewing and Praying Mantis are currently being developed), as well as include the life-cycle of each creature. The developers are very open to community suggestions and I have my fingers crossed for my favorite insect, the Assassin Bug. On the topic of the developers, they are clearly very passionate about this project and very interactive with the community. You can tell they love insects and arachnids; the knowledge that they have for each individual species is very apparent in the gameplay. For me, this kind of devotion and friendliness towards the community is a plus, especially in an early-access game like this. What more, they take constructive criticism for this game very well, and are quick to add fixes and features that allow their players a better experience. Such criticisms included the camera, which did make playing certain creatures like the Jumping Spider more difficult and frustrating than it needed to be. In response to this, the developers gave the option to allow the camera to move independently from the creature. A very helpful change. Another con is replay value. While I can play this game for hours, I can see the novelty wearing off for other people and, once they've played all the modes and creatures, there's little to keep them coming back until another major update happens. I feel the future plan of multi-player will solve this issue, allowing modes like Creature Quest to be even more fun and competitive. Imagine a mode much like The Isle, where the prey you hunt and the predators you avoid are other players. That will certainly bring lots of replayability to this game. I can also see the controls may be overwhelming to some new players, but the game is very helpful in this department (regularly dropping instructions on which button does what) and once you get the hang of it, it comes natural. Overall, this game is fun, educational, and unique. If you love animals, particularly the creepy crawlies, then I highly recommend this game.

If you love bugs as much as I do, you will definitely enjoy this amazing game. I hope they add cockroaches in the future <3

This game is so beautiful, with so much detail and passion put into it. I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves the natural world. There are quite a few different modes to enioy. Lifecycles gives you an walkthrough of the animal's life as it matures and grows. You have a sandbox mode, to design and grow your own garden and mess around with time and seasons. There's free roam if you just want to casually explore the map and relax. There's also player vs ai deathmatches, and a few minigames to try your hand at.

i haven't spent much time on this game so i can't speak about replayability and such. but what i saw in my first hour deserves to be told. i started playing the life cycle of the spider. it started simple easy and with a science lesson to boot(enough to add to it not too much science though). then i leave the silk sack and go out in the world. before long i'm eating grasshoppers twice my size and i feel on top of the world. i make my silk tent and as i do i get the sense that while the game is still a game it has plenty enough realism that real world knowledge can actually help. even being a spider spinning a silk tent feels intuitive. i am going great almost feeling relaxed. then a GIANT FLYING SOMETHING {dragon fly?) catches me and i'm getting on screen prompts on how to escape. i no longer know where i am or even what has me! i escape barely but i am left a fair distance from my tent and night is falling. i get a prompt about needing to hide from the nocturnal predators and decide a spiders life isn't that relaxing. there are all sorts of games that have you be a wolf or lion or some other big animal. the life of the small animals should not be overlooked. in short. despite the hunger bar and energy bar and the slightly clumsy UI you truly feel like you are a tiny insect in a big world. 1 hour in this game and you will never feel the same about a bugs life. i am almost feeling sorry for the bugs i've squashed. as i said i only played an hour but that was a powerful eventful hour.

Drunk On Nectar is a 3D Simulation game in which players can go through the life cycle of various different bugs and insects. The game runs extremely well considering it's early access and throughout the time I've played it i have seen no bugs (glitches). Whilst playing as an insect (or bug) you are faced with many new challenges to do in order for your bug to progress. My personal favourite was being a Jumping Spider and although the whole life cycle has not been developed yet, there were so many things to do and I can't wait for the new update! In conclusion, I strongly recommend this game to everyone! After playing it has really changed my perception on insects and how much they have to go through - the game is both educational and fun: what's not to like?
