Monstrum 2 is an asymmetric PvP game for those looking to take survival horror to the next level. Pit yourself against a terrifying monster as a team of up to 4 human prisoners, locked in a tactical struggle to escape a decrepit sea fortress, or play as one of the many horrifying monstrosities hunting them down.

Use your wits and cunning to navigate a complex, procedurally generated metal labyrinth that changes layout, puzzles, items, and obstacles with each playthrough, keeping each match dynamic for humans and monsters alike.

PROCEDURAL SEA FORTRESS

Explore Sparrowlock, the Hong-Sha Miller research facility; a structure derived from an old repurposed sea fortress. Navigate an intricate mesh of rusting rooms and walkways as you adapt to the different environmental and gameplay challenges generated with every match.

PLAY AS A PRISONER

Work together with fellow teammates to scavenge items strewn across the decaying facility to overcome the obstacles that lie between you and your ticket to escape.

Stay stealthy and out of sight. Use various hiding spots to avoid getting seen whilst avoiding the traps that give away your position.

If you’re spotted, you’d better run! Stay agile and use various items you’ve gathered in your arsenal for a speedy escape. Your survival balances on a fine line.

PLAY AS THE MONSTER

Pick from a diverse range of genetically-modified monstrosities derived from failed deep-sea experiments, each with their own distinct traits for hunting down humans.

Smash, climb, trap, teleport. Master different monsters and use their unique abilities to tactically exploit the environment and catch your prey off-guard.

CREATE YOUR OWN CUSTOM GAMES

Create lobbies with custom rules for yourself to play with friends and others.

Set challenges that can really test the best of players against the monster.

Making the game a multiplayer was a mistake. Even then, playing it with friends is a chore. First game is miles better. This one's a waste of time and money.

Not sure what the devs are going for here. The first one was kind of fun. Unique cause the monster was an AI so it felt more like a game. This seems like they are trying to build dead by daylight but not as well. Will update if things change here.

this could have been such an amazing sequel to the first, but they ruined it with the DBD theme. Multiplayer could have worked but they should have focused on a single player mode first. so much potential wasted...im disappointed, many are disappointed, Junkfish...

The game is dead, both figuratively and literally. Literally, there is noone playing it at all and it doesnt have AI support so you'll be lucky to find a single full game in 1+hour of waiting in lobby. Figuratively, The game feels extremely empty. The animations are so bad its not even the funny. The sound effects and music feel like they dont exist. I've listened to ambient music about a dead planet that was more engaging then whats in this game. The monsters look forgettable with (again) horridly bad animations, and playing them feels even worse. I think this is the first game i've ever had the misfortune of playing that made playing as the monster so unpleasant. Playing on Newgrounds would be a more pleasant experience this this. At least you could get a good laugh out of those.

it had alot of potential, but it's pretty much dead. I hope that we can get new singleplayer stuff someday though
