  It is not a complete software. It is an in-app purchasing software. It doesn't exports apk or android project. It is not a game development software. I am so much depressed after buying this software.

  Abandoned. Was a really good tool, if rough around the edges. Has various bugs and unfinished systems. Devs have abandoned it. It's unfortunate, because the tool is actually pretty easy to understand, especially if you have RPG Maker experience. I hope the devs are in good health, otherwise, and doing well. Just sucks to see something with a lot of potential get left in the dust.

  Figured I should have a positive review on my profile. To start with, is this really abandonware, like other reviewers are saying? It certainly seems that way. So, why would I recommend it? Well, despite some of the bugs it has, its really easy to use. Its interface is similar to the style RPG Maker uses, so if you used that, you can understand this quickly. If not though, I still think you can learn it pretty easily. Honestly, you could probably look at some RPG Maker tutorials on things like variables, tiles, etc and just apply that knowledge to this. This isn't a program for turn based rpg's though, so if that's what you want to make, just get Rpg Maker. If you want to make a platformer or Arpg? This is a good pick. The bugs I've mentioned can be worked around, its a pretty flexible program. I'm currently using this program to make a game for some stress relief, and its been real fun so far. My experience with RPG Maker helped fix a lot of issues I've ran into. So I hope the devs come back to this some day, and update things such as being able to move around variables and the like. I like this program a lot, it would be such a shame to see it fade into obscurity.

  This is hands-down, the BEST game engine my team has used. We had tried so many free alternatives like GDevelop 5, but nothing compares to what iFAction can do. It's amazing!! The support team from what I've seen is super responsive to help questions. My only critiques are that more things need to be translated to English. The english tutorial is well made and very informal, but I can't understand much outside of the editor itself, like the website or any other lesson resources. I look forward to continuing to use this engine, and see how it improves as time goes on. Well done!

  Its a very solid game maker and very fluid gameplay in both play styles (played it a little for testing a demo like). It takes a bit of lernning to do so, but like the RPG Maker 2k to MV, it takes not a whole lot of time to learn the ins and outs. Other Programs that work well with IFAction is - Spriter Pro (best choice), RPG Character Builder (it's free on steam. It only dose a walk sprite sheet, but can easily be a base to start off). and Universal Sprite Creator (this one is in the browser and it's like RPG Character Builder with more sprite actions then just a walking animation + it's free). Art Programs would be GIMP (1 or 2 and it is free), Photoshop (not free), Paint (always on every PC and the basics works just as well in somethings (I end up between Paint and GIMP with the same PNG or JPEG), and Krita. Opps one more DesignDoll helps with poses for character bases. Its free, but you can not save or download your pose (unless you buy it). Although you can use the Print SysReq to take a screen shot and paste it in paint. It takes a 3d model and you can adjust it to a pose you like (it have a lot of adjustments.from male to female)

  So, I have been tinkering around with this for a few hours now and saw that there are not many reviews for the software in English so far. First of all I would like to echo what most people are saying in that it is very easy to use even for beginners. For those of us who are used to using the RPG Maker programs and others like Smile Game Builder, you will pick this up very easily and even in the first few hours I am finding I can do a lot of things here that I couldn't do in those programs (unless I knew how to code, of course). As I say, it is great for beginners with features such as the built-in UI editor that can give your games a very unique look and feel and make them seem much less generic. I look forward to discovering what else I can achieve in this program, but would like to see the follow things implemented by the dev team to make this software even more awesome. 1. Gamepad compatibility. I am talking about for when you actually play and test run the games. I have loved making games on PC for years, but I cannot for the life of me get used to using a clunky keyboard for controls that make it feel like I am having to learn Moonlight Sonata from scratch just to move across a room and open a door when I am play testing! Giving people an option with different hardware controls will definitely make the software and also the games built much more accessible. 2. A built in character creator. Much like the ones seen in RPG Maker and Smile Game Builder, complete with all standard movement and basic walk/run/attack etc animations used by default in the program. Just so beginners can add some variety to their game even if they don't have any animation software or do not have the time/skills needed to implement those. 3. A free 30 day trial of the software before buying. It would allow for more who are interested in the program to dip their toe in the water and see what they can achieve in the software before purchasing. Overall, I would recommend this product. It is very solid as is and the scope for potential is really huge, so I hope the developers are listening to our comments and continue their good work and this could really be something special. EDIT: 6/5/2002 No updates or interaction with the devs for quite some time now. Some things are still unfinished with this maker with no idea when they will be implemented. Still a good engine, but my advice is to wait for a sale if you are interested in buying.

  If you used to RPG Maker, I am really sure you can understand this one easily. Compared to RPG Maker, IFAction's UI is not as better as the RM but from other aspect, i liked this more than RM. Can make RPG Action and Platformer in the easiest way. I see a lot of potential in this program. Hope dev will continue to support this programs and add more feature in the near future, like changing in game UI font (been using it for 5 hours and i still can't find how). Sorry if my English is not good

  I found working and navigating in iFAction a lot better than other software. I really like the support here as well.

  Don't get me wrong, it's a great editor, but it's not worth buying in its current form. Its current features and interface are good. If you're looking to make something simple, then IfAction Maker is ideal for that. If you're looking to make something more complex, you will quickly run into the editor's limitations, especially if you're used to using editors and game making engines. Variables are very limited in what they can do, skills do not have a wide variety of different effects, you can't rearrange the order of variables, triggers, skills or anything. It does have a script editor which is much more flexible, but as it stands, there isn't enough documentation in English to fully exploit it. If you aren't a scriptlet like me, maybe you can get better use out of the engine, but I definitely don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't know how to script. If I had to summarize it, IfAction Maker is great if you're just starting out or you already know how to script. It's a frustrating experience if you're somewhere in between those two. Probably the biggest killer for me is their monetized mod environment. I ended up buying F Coins back in August (which is their in-editor currency, you use it to buy assets, mods, etc) and the coins were never delivered. In addition, I'm worried when the developers say they intend to add requested features in mods, rather than being standard features in the editor. Presuming that these mods will cost F Coins, then that means you will be paying extra for requested features on top of IfAction Maker's already hefty price. RPGMaker has a much larger community behind it, its plugins are free, it has much better documentation and even with its base features, it's much more versatile. All for the same price. There are plugins in RPG Maker MV which allow you to have real time combat, platforming and even tactical turn based combat. I know it's hard to compete with a software series that's been around for nearly thirty years, but that's IfAction Maker's competition. So, I say wait and see what the devs do. Don't buy in just yet.
