  Incredibly pretty little towns that are not even on the map. Gives players new cargo and multiple hours of driving. Totally worth the price.

  Nice dlc but its nearly price of the base game, even though France is retexured/added Really noticeable difference in quality when you go from UK and older parts of Europe over to France, but is the same with Baltic, Italy and Scandinavia dlcs

  Toll roads everywhere, cars breakchecking me for no reason, trucks hogging left lane. Yep this feels like France! Great addition to the existing road network. I like the new intersections and scenery with some great landmarks. The DLC altogether just looks beautiful and gives us, the players, more to explore plus a few cool new industries & cargo!

  I would say this expansion is on par with the Scandinavia DLC, maybe even exceeding it. Anyway, together they are miles ahead of the original map and the first expansion 'Going East' The scenery, the road network, bigass bridges, the much improved textures etc. The city's are a huge improvement too; bigger and relatively complex compared to the old map. And then there are the gorgeously modelled little villages. It's all a joy to travel through. Again they added many new assets: buildings, vegetation, companies, cargo's etc. I will be ignoring jobs for a while that would take me outside of France :) Just like Scandinavia, the price is a bit hefty. However, considering the quality and the amount of time many of us put into the game, I think it's absolutely worth it. Last but not least, Vive la France is also the definitive toll booth simulator ;-)

  Fire up game after downloading DLC. Do a few jobs in France….Looks awesome and way better than anywhere else except maybe Scandinavia. Drove around reworked Paris for an hour looking for the Eiffel Tower…crash into reckless French driver who cut in front of me like a lunatic. No Eiffel Tower apparently… must have been dismantled and sold for scrap to fund new toll gates….who cares it all looks great! Get truck repaired. Do some more driving for a bit…. Come across toll gate…drive some more… hit another toll gate…drive a bit more…toll gate, toll gate…TOLL GATE’S EVERYWHERE! Not that big a deal I suppose since I don’t have to completely stop for them anymore thanks to the new express lanes. Crazy Frenchman cuts in front of my truck in his saloon car, narrowly avoid another mishap. Continue doing more jobs...lovely countryside…sleepy villages…awesome wooded areas…psychotic French drivers keep trying to ram me off the road …definitely feeling like France now…start wondering how much money these Frenchies have already milked out of me with all these toll gates. Pour myself a glass of wine and eat some cheese while at a rest stop. Continue with delivery to nuclear power plant start wondering if cargo is radioactive, should have asked for danger money. Nuke plant looks impressive wonder if I can deliver something exiting next…nope...end up taking excavated soil to Bourges. Drink more wine while avoiding more crazy French drivers…take wrong turn due to strange French junctions and useless GPS updating weirdly…end up taking the long route to Bourges. Take new job back to Paris. Buy new garage, hire more drivers….fill it with Renaults. Drink even more wine…..give my beloved Scania to new hired driver in my Berlin garage. Buy Renault Premium Racing Edition to get into the French spirit…nice truck seems far more enjoyable then my last one…must be seriously drunk now! Go on delivery run to Bordeaux, lovely place…great scenery…maybe that’s where this wine comes from. Start wondering how I ended up driving a Renault. Next job to the UK, decide it looks pretty shoddy and run down now. Strangely crazy French drivers have migrated here for some reason...must leave this place quickly and look for next cargo to take back to beautiful France. Arrive in Calais ….feel much better about my surroundings but extremely drunk now…park truck before crashing again since my room is now spinning. Must open garage in Toulouse tomorrow…also add croissants more wine and garlic mouthwash to shopping list. 11/10. Would definitely get drunk driving around France again. Au revoir!

  One of ETS2's finest DLC's to date; packed with tons of roads, updated environments and more companies to work for (Including Nuclear Power Stations). The real highlight of Vive la France are the small, quaint back roads that twist and turn throughout tiny villages and towns that aren't big enough to get their own city name on the map. These narrow roads show off France's stunning new enhanced vegetation that sometimes make you feel like you're hauling straight through the middle of a dense forest. I do hope that SCS considers on reworking the rest of the map. Maybe not to the level of Vive la France and Scandinavia, but just a bit of a touch up and enhancement. France is lively and vibrant -- as is Scandinavia -- but once you set out on a long haul and exit France, and back into countries in the base ETS2, it feels a bit dreary and lifeless. I don't mean that the base ETS2 game is bad, I just mean that we've been spoiled with great DLC like Scandinavia and France, and seeing the enhanced vegetation and graphics makes me wonder how amazing ETS2 would be if all the countries gets to that level.

  It´s a pity, that the rest of ETS Europe older parts (especially Germany) looks like "garbage", when you had taken your rig for a spin in France (or Scandinavia). This DLC sets the milestone how ETS trucking world, should looked like, for three years ago. I recommend this DLC with kudos to SCS for such an artistic good work.

  Love this game! Very impressed by the realism, amazing graphics and attention to detail! That said, I do have a few suggestions that I feel would improve the game: Truck Purchases and Upgrades: - the ability to save customized truck configurations for future purchases (so that we don't have to re-enter the customizations everytime we grow our fleet) - the ability to select truck upgrades and apply them to our entire fleet at once Driver Training Policy: - add "training status" to the table view of drivers so that we can view all drivers assigned to any given training policy - the ability to select multiple drivers and apply a new training policy as a group - the ability to set default training policies (ex: "all new drivers": training priority = "select option"; when "select option" levels reach "select level": training priority shifts to "select option") - cruise control: the ability to set a defaul speed when initialy engaging cruise control - a CB radio would be great! - world map: the ability to track ones fleet (ex: green dots on map represent current truck locations, with mouse-over for driver and job details) - recruiting drivers: the ability to search for drivers with specific qualifications - radio: the ability to load different playlists from personal music libraries

  The only problem I have with this expansion is that I now wish that the rest of the map felt as alive as this does. The scenery on country roads is beautiful and the small villages you pass through or pass by is just amazing to see and don't forget that the cities feel more like cities instead of industrial freight districts. Yes, the country roads in the Scandinavian expansion also has really beautiful scenery and the cities were also a lot more city like, but the addition of villages makes it a whole lot better. I hope they will update the rest of the map with this kind of attention to detail and liveliness, because that would be amazing.
