  缺点： 1）剧情乱七八糟 一堆伏笔 主角身份交代得不清不楚 也许有前传还是后传我遗漏了？ 2）升级效益不高 30封顶限制了成长 3）boss难度乱七八糟 打法千篇一律 后期boss进场必须破防+破法 否则就是刮痧 4）世界地图大而空洞 有几个场景像是为了凑剧情做出来的 鬼宅 马庄 就是进去过个剧情 没了 5）野怪掉的装备只差别只在于血蓝回复量的差别 装备强化成长效益不高 6）护驾无引导 相信很多人直到通关了或者后期才知道有这个功能 优点： 1）技能特效还算用心

  I know in our modern sensitivities, people get uptight over stupid things like broad observations, even if those observations tend to be true. Well, I'm old so I speak my mind and really don't care. And I am going to make a broad observation here. The Chinese TRULY understand what it means to tell a story of epic, good vrs evil classical fantasy stories. From the highly embellished and romanticized "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" novels, to "The journey of the Flower" or "The Chinese Paladin" stories, to some of the great video game saga's such as The Legend of the Journey West" or "Wu Xia" (the series) when you let yourself invest in their fantasy worlds, you see a romanticized, inspiring work that used to be something we had in the west, before they were replaced with flashy spectacle and visuals over substance led by corporate mediocrity. This sense of wonder and magic, this line between good and evil, they really understand it well and they always have. And so I think its a damned shame so few of their works make it into the English speaking world. Tales of Hongyuan is a great example of this. Even if you have played so many JRPGs and Western RPGs that the genre feels same-samey, the style with which they put together these Chinese CRPG's, from the colorful worlds, to the lore and characters, will feel really "fresh" to you. And if you need a break from same old, this would be a perfect escape, and a dive into a world of fantasy that would REALLY take off in the west if it was given half a chance. Its not perfect. No game is. The translation is a labor of love, not a professional localization, so it can trip you up at times, but they did their best so English players could play the game and its very playable as it is. Why more of these arent translated for westerners, I'll never know. The game has the same feel as old-school classics like Final Fantasy. The music is stellar, and the combat is turn based and alot of fun. Its no pushover. If you don't weigh your options and manage your resources, even regular enemies will mop the floor with you. But it gives a sense of accomplishment when you DO survive long dungeons or area's and finally finish off bosses. I'd hate to spoil any of the experience, so I'll finish off by stating this....If you want a sense of wonder and exploration, and if you are in need of a break from mainstream tropes in RPGs, and love turn based RPGs, give this one a try. As long as you understand its an indy game, and accept the translation issues for what they are, you will thoroughly love this game. And maybe, if enough people see what we are missing out on, more of these will come westward. "The Journey to the west" of the video games would be great if it were more Chinese RPGs like this making it our way!

  支持一下国产单机游戏 有些地方还是有不少改进空间的，比如开始提示一些键位作用，和增加一个自动存档系统之类的。

  遊戲還可以，但玩法可沒說明，必需靠直覺來硬幢。遊戲裡的提示不是很明確，有己次我得亂猜才能看找到尋求的目標。遊戲難度還可以接受，遊戲比起上個月侠客风云传前传好玩多了。故事和畫風我覺得廷有意識的，遊戲有個缺點哪就是你沒能用方向指南來轉視線角度邊的有時後難於觸摸此地要採摘的東西或材料。 雖然我不是中國人或外地華僑民族，但如果是武俠遊戲我還是廷支持不管是從中國的也好還是台灣的我都不再意，最終如果遊戲的劇情可以給到我像有金庸或古龍小说的感覺和想像，我二話不說就會收集起來。 所以我的結論是可以支持本遊戲。

  I am playing this game in Chinese using English Windows 10 and everything works fine and well. I had a wonderful time, and have been playing non-stop for the last 5 days. The game is so immersive that it is hard to stop. What I love about this game is a preponderance of quests. Many of the quests are event / location based. When you are at a specific location, or talking to a specific person, and event will be triggered which advance the quest to the next stage. However, it is also possible to miss certain side quests. Some side quests might be disabled before/after you reach certain stages of the main quests. This is the tricky part as I have missed a few quests during my first playthrough. Currently I am nearing the ending stages of my first playthrough and I am taking down notes of the various events. This game is interesting enough for me to do a second playthrough, where I will try to learn all the ultimate skills, get all the ultimate weapons and armor and do all the possible sidequests. I know this is not going to be easy; however this game certainly is fun enough for me to try. Currently this game is not available in English yet and you have to understand Chinese in order to play this game. I have about 10+ Chinese games on steam, and I highly recommend this particular game to anyone who can read Chinese and love RPGs.

  7/10 game given from a Chinese developer. An encouraging start. Bring back traditional Chinese rpg. It has the basic nuts and bolts. Simple mechanics. A good start for wuxia games. Still a lot still to be done for future games for the developer on storytelling, interface, more indepth combat, environement, character developement, general game design. Combat need more variety. Currently It either monsters with more health or less. Needs to bring other elements tying into the wuxia universe. Allowing the storying telling to turn into a more meaningful and engrossing game. Hopefully the studio kick on from this turning out even better titles in future.

  Shorter than current English-available CRPG on Steam but packs with good (and expected) CRPG's elements like fancy, eye-pleasing attacks, good story and not too obnoxious protagonist. English translation is much better than Tale of Wuxia series imo. Oh and it runs rather smooth on my toaster computer (on highest setting no less). But Here are things I dislike: the difficulty spike at the beginning. Maybe I'm just bad and stupid but I ran into 2 wolves and barely get out alive; no auto-saves. I'm spoiled by auto-save games...; a bit grindy if you want your base to look like a 5 stars hotel. And I would love to see more side-quests which involve the playable characters more. Overall it's a great game for such a price. Definitely, recommend! PS: please bring more of your games to Steam, devs!

  TLDR; If you like a decent but fairly standard RPG and are also into wuxia/xianxia then give this a shot. If you're an english speaker who's into wuxia/xianxia and RPG games than this is pretty much a must have, but only considering there's like 5 of those translated and on steam (I know because I've played them all). While Tales of Hongyuan wasn't revolutionary, or even really exceptional, it was a relaxed and enjoyable RPG. Characters and storyline were entertaining but I never felt really attached to either, I mostly just enjoyed it for the xianxia setting. If you're used to this genre it was exactly what you'd expect; high fantasy in an ancient Chinese setting. The game had lovely classical Chinese music that complemented the setting/atmosphere very well though. Combat was just a generic turn based RPG system. I find it disappointing that developers still think that's acceptable in the year of 2017+. The dungeon design was pretty well done however. Linear enough that I didn't find them annoyingly complex, but not so linear that I found them boring and one dimensional. The one saving grace was the upgradable player base mechanics. Despite being called Lonely Island, by the time you finished upgrading the base it didn't feel lonely at all after being populated with various useful NPCs like shopkeepers and craftsmen. It had it's own optional storyline that was fun although not very in depth. It always felt nice to come back to the player base just to rest up, do some shopping, and talk to the NPCs. There's a huge optional dungeon underneath the base that is really a bunch of dungeons in one. There's an optional super secret not so secret overpowered boss at the end who you can beat for some overpowered gear; so if you're one of those completionists who have to 100% everything in an RPG then have fun with that! As usual with these types of optional bosses, once you've beaten it you've pretty much beaten the game since nothing else can touch you after that point and you won't be strong enough to beat him unless you do a ton of grinding anyways. Final Score: 7/10
