The ROIS-DS Humanities Open Data Shared Use Center (CODH) has developed an AI shaving character recognition technology that has the function of converting (reprinting) the shaving characters contained in images into modern characters. The AI ​​kuzuji recognition smartphone app "miwo" was developed with the aim of making this technology easy for anyone to use.

"Mio" is named after "Mio Tsukushi", the 14th book of "Genji Monogatari". Just as "Mio Tsukushi" serves as a pilot guide for people, we aim to use the "Mio" app as a guide for traveling through the sea of ​​cursive script materials.

★ It is possible to recognize junk characters and convert (reprint) them into modern characters for images taken with a camera or images downloaded from the Internet.

★ You can output the recognition result as text, copy it, and use it in other apps.
