The three-hour AP Biology exam assesses students’ abilities in problem-solving, designing experiments and analyzing the results, their theoretical understanding of biology concepts, and their ability to interpret and develop conceptual models. Students can simulate the real exam using the free Varsity Tutors AP Biology app for Android devices. The full-length, timed practice tests, diagnostic exams, and flashcards use AP-level questions written by experts in biology.

You can learn by individual concept, focusing on macromolecules, cell functions and structures, DNA, RNA, proteins, or natural selection, among several other physiological and biological areas. The diagnostic tests offer a breakdown of which biological concepts you have mastered, which you should work on, or those that take you a longer amount of time. Analyzing these diagnostic feedback reports can allow you to personalize your study time so that you take the AP Biology test as efficiently and accurately as possible.
