Hourglass Game - the hilarious 簡介

Background

Hi there, my name is Gilad, this game was made with love and it is completely free. Its mission is to connect people around the world by bringing you the remote version of a well known and fun game.

It is designed for people of all ages and backgrounds, I myself play it with my father, sister and niese every Sunday.

What is it

Hourglassis a digital version of the known Celebrities game. It is also known as:

Celebs, The Hat Game, Lunchbox, Fishbowl, Salad Bowl, Who Is The Man & The Name Game.

Bring your mind, body & mobile device for a fun and hilarious game.

You'll need at least 4 people to play and the more the merrier.

Instructions

Setup

1. Get together in an external video call (zoom, meet, etc..)

1. One person creates a game and shares it with others.

2. Each player writes their words on “cards” that will be guessed later. All cards from all players are gathered together in one deck.

3. Each player chooses their team.

Gameplay

In each turn one player is the clue giver.

The clue giver needs to describe the name in the card (presented only to them) while the rest of their team guesses.

The playing team tries to guess as many cards as possible against the clock (aka Hourglass).

The teams alternate turns till all cards are used - meaning end of the round.

When a round ends, all cards are collected and reused in the next round!

One game includes 3 rounds and each round has different rules :

The Rounds

Round 1 : Describe

You can use as many words as you like to describe the word on the card, without acting or gestures.

Round 2 : One Word

You can use exactly 1 word per card. once you said a word, you can only repeat it…

Round 3 : Charades

Use mime to communicate the name in the card. No words or sounds allowed

The scores from all three rounds are added together. The team with the most points wins!
