This dictionary is among the scientific legacies of KH Ahmad Warson who was also a student of KH Ali Maksum, the initial caregiver of the Krapyak Ponpes after the departure of its founder KH M Moenawir in July 1942. Since childhood KH Ahmad Warson was educated by KH Ali Maksum, and among some of his students, KH Ahmad Warson has an advantage in language vocabulary, so he was encouraged by his teacher to create this dictionary.
