[CODM] Call of Duty: Mobile Hits 172 Million Downloads in First 2 Months - GameLoop

Call of Duty: Mobile, the mobile version of Call of Duty franchise, was released officially on October 1, 2019. CODM not only finely crafted on the classic elements but also added the hot topic - battle royale mode. Relying on COD Series' previous popularity and CODM's high-quality, CODM has amassed a huge fan group once it released. It has surpassed more than 100 million downloads on IOS and Android only in 7 days, which broke the App Store and Play Store's record. After 2 months, the game reached another milestone.

Sensor Tower Store estimated that CODM has already gathered over 172 million downloads and earned $87 million global player spending in the first 2 months. The game was well-received in the United States, with nearly 28.5 million installations, accounting for 16.6% of all downloads. India ranks second with 17.5 million installations, with 10.2% of all downloads, and Brazil ranks third with 12 million installations, with 7% of all downloads.

Google play occurs 52% of downloads accounting for 89 million. The rest was generated by IOS devices.

From the revenue perspective, the largest share of revenue was obtained by the United States, where players spending over $ 36 million, with 42% of the total. Then Japan was accounting for $ 11 million with 13.2%. The United Kingdom placed at the third with $ 2.6 million, accounting for 3% of revenue. 59.2% of revenue came from the IOS devices with 59.2% of the total.

Although the revenue data of the game was dropped from its first month's high, it is also expected to reach more peaks in the coming several weeks as the new content's first rolling out such as zombie mode.
