  This game was my childhood. And im more than glad too see it back on steam. - The physics are fantastic, grippy but not too grippy (more like tsc off in most other games). - Ai is difficult to an extend but in a good way. - Graphics still look fairly good... but the car damage, i'd say still be best to this day. The softbody as crazy as beamNG but the parts can break into several pieces. - Sound mostly good but there are 1 or 2 sound effects I would tone back a bit. overall - 91/100 "A must try hidden gem".

  Props to the current rights holders for bringing a game like this (a licensing nightmare) back from the dead. Going through the extra work for a 64-bit port AND Workshop support is very nice. Thank you for not doing the bare minimum!!! The game is itself great, those who played it back in the day will appreciate it. Now somebody needs to port all the MBWR maps :)

  Very good racing game. The Soundtracks are awesome, the cars look super cool and it makes so much fun just driving around places just to enjoy the maps. Loved this as a kid and will keep enjoying it.

  I got Forza Horizon 5 and World Racing 2 to try out as racing games on Steamdeck. I ended up refunding FH5 and prefer playing WR2. - The game runs perfectly smooth - graphics are ok for an old game - I like the selection of cars, even if they lack branding - Handling feels good and gameplay is fun with some open-world elements. - Reasonable price for an old game One thing to keep in mind is that when you first play the game, you need to change the default controls from Keyboard to controller (if you plan on playing with a controller).

  If 2005 had a Forza Horizon, this would be it. Lots of cars (mostly European but hey! It was made originally with a VW and sub-manufacturers sponsorship), big environments and pretty graphics for 2005 makes this game a nice treat for people looking for a good time without too many requirements. It aged quite well, and now, with WS support and the sorts, its even easier to mod than before. So fill it with Cars and Tracks to your hearts content, and have a good time!

  I love it. I never played this before, but I do have nostalgia for older racing games like NFS and Burnout. In many ways this feels like a prequel to the Forza Horizon series, though with larger focus on fixed driving challenges, and less on car ownership (no need to buy cars). The ai can be unfair, but it wouldn't be fun if the game was a breeze. I usually beat a challenge in 2-3 tries. The maps are very good, I wish FH had variety like this.

  Thanks to KuruHS, I did not know this game was on the storefront and I get to enjoy my childhood again! Still cannot believe this game made it to the States back in the day! Thank you for putting this back on the store!

  It's WR2. If you're a fan of old Synetic games just get it.
