  A refund for me. No AI at all, you can shoot an ennemy from distance and it will not react. You fight near a guard and he doesn't move until you face him.

  This game is super disappointing. The trailer and screenshots showcase beautiful environments and a minimal HUD, when in reality, what you get is a flat lighting scheme and a cluttered HUD, which together just draw more and more attention to the copy-pasted assets spread throughout the map. All of this combined with the goofy AI just makes for a boring experience. I really hope the developer continues to build on and improve this game, because I think that it could be a truly unique and enjoyable experience, but in its current state, it's just not worth the price. [hr][/hr] Edit: I have continued to play the game as updates release, and while the developer has definitely made improvements since I bought it, his commitment to content updates and franchising over quality control shows that the game still has far to go before it's earned the price tag it currently sports.

  TLDR: it's not ready yet, and may never be. The concept is killer. Drop the player into a realistic WWII map with Nazis to kill and randomized objectives to complete. Unfortunately, as it stands now, the actual game delivers on little of this promise. Gunplay is floaty, enemies constantly deal tiny amounts of damage, enemy sight lines are unpredictable, exploration is slow (most buildings and towns lack any identifying features), much of the combat is firing at enemies randomly dropped into open fields, enemies move while shooting with robotic precision, and you lack any meaningful stealth options. XP is only awarded after finishing a mission, which can take you 10-15 minutes wandering around sparse maps being constantly pestered by enemies that never really feel like a threat. Sometimes, you get to the exfil point, only to be killed by a mob of Nazis in a hail of gunfire that is somehow both comical and strangely boring, causing the last 10-20 minutes of your life to be completely wasted. I also would call into question the label of "Roguelite" here. The objectives are randomly assigned, along with your starting position, and enemy placement, but United Assault appears to have exactly 1 map that is unchanged for each run. There is no progression through floors or new arenas. While roguelite is a flexible term, I would not be confident calling this a roguelite. There's potential in the concept, and the execution is better than many on Steam, but currently (Nov 3, 2021) this feels much more like a prototype to workshop mechanics than it does a public release worth asking money for. Given this developer's track record, and the similarity to their previous titles, I don't know if the concept's potential will ever be delivered on here.

  The developers keep improving the game and it is worth a shot. I keep coming back. I suggest the developers look a bit more at Utah beach though, the game version is quite far from the real thing (although still fun to play).

  Terrible. Feels like a game thrown together in FPS Creator. Boring, simplistic, and no fun at all.

  I've been playing for about an hour and I can say I like this game. however i think the animations need some work. I also find liberating towns to be kinda difficult. Mostly because I end up running around in circles through the whole town looking for those last 2 or 3 kills...

  A fun simple game. I've been playing it for awhile. Since the last update an invisible enemy shows up and cannot be killed and eventually follows me around until he kills me. All that's seen on the screen is his weapon firing and moving around. Is this a bug the designer is aware of?

  Nice looking game and good concept re: sandbox WW2 FPS, but the AI is intolerably stupid.
