ميزات Secret Files: Tunguska

Unravel one of the greatest mysteries of our time!

On the 30th June 1908 an explosion with the combined energy of 2000 Hiroshima bombs rocked the region of Tunguska in Central Siberia and felled over 6,000 square km of trees. The explosion could be heard from as far as 1,000km away. Eye witnesses saw a long object fall from the sky which was illuminated in a blue-white light. A 20km high column of light was followed by a black-mushroom shaped cloud. It has been reported that for the next three nights it was so bright across all of Europe that you could read a newspaper outdoors.

To date it still remains a mystery as to what happened that day, and now YOU will find yourself immersed in a race against time to uncover a global conspiracy that will carry you to the far reaches of the world. Prepare to have your detective skills challenged like never before in the dark world of cover-ups and corruption.

  • 80 highly detailed and atmospheric pre-rendered backgrounds

  • Atmospheric weather effects (e.g. rain and snow)

  • Cinematic full screen videos for intro and cut-scenes

  • 25 beautifully rendered 3D characters to interact with

When you start Secret Files: Tunguska, you will notice several things, but what stands out immediately is the voice acting, being at the best of times, tiresome, somewhat embarrassing and even downright abysmal. To be fair, a few good actors do a good job, but between the unusual “never use contractions” thing, the odd phrasing and peculiar word choice, the “breaking of the fourth-wall” and the main characters voice choice being all over the place in terms of quality, you’d have a hard time bringing yourself to finishing the game. Puzzles were regularly the “combine some items” types which are generally a staple for any self-proclaimed adventure game, but they were about as contrived as “puzzle” of this type can get. Before long, you would be sick to death of guessing which inane impromptu tool you are supposed to make from the items in your inventory. So by finally finishing the game, you would see the extent of its dull, inane, meandering story; hear your fair share of sub-standard voice acting; you’d enjoy plenty of robotic animations; you’d play your fair share of 'hunt for the pixels that you can click on to find an item as you would assume was there more times than you’d liked; and you had gone through puzzles that, had if you had played the game organically, probably would have meant resorting to systematically trying to combine everything in my inventory until you stumbled across the right pairing. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone unless they'd run out of other adventure games to play and needed one that would probably would have taken them a long time to get through.

+ lot of areas, mystery storyline, graphic details, environment sounds (you should play with good headphones), goosebumps - some hard riddles, some hotspots are not reacting as you expect finally complete pack:)

    * INCREDIBLE!!!* Of the 100's of Adventure games and overall 1,000's of games I've ever played, this one was the Best! Everything about it was Amazing! It plays like a sweeping epic adventure movie, yet it's a point-n-click adventure with lots of dialog, locations, characters and a real story. It was very long and most of the puzzles and objects made sense. When the game suggested you do something like look in the archive room or go through the video footage, etc, you actually got to do it. Little things like that made it great. You even got to play as 2 characters for a while. There was so much to discover in every scene, even in the foreground at times. I can't believe the games after this weren't nearly as good and if I had to pick something the ending location was a bit of a drag but still pretty fun. This game was everything a great adventure should be. If you love adventures, you have to play it now!!!
I'm not really sure why but I enjoyed this game quite a bit
Pros

Very good (and fair) interface – show hotspots + indication of valid actions = no pixel hunting and clicking everything on everything
Logical puzzles – rare among adventure games
Quite nice plot and intrigue – gets worse in the second part but still it’s not that bad
Nicely done backgrounds – sets the right mood
Some character comments are actually quite funny - again very rare in adventure games
Just the right length – should take from 10 to 15 hours
Cons

VOICE ACTING in English version – really terrible also from technical point of view. Sound manager should be shot on sight. It feels like some parts were recorded in bathroom not in studio. Bit of warning: in Secret Files 2 it’s even worse (main character voices are awful)
Character graphic and movements – the game was 5 years behind even when it was freshly released
Logical puzzles ;) – could be too easy for hardcore adventure gamers
Sometimes plot is naïve and pretty unrealistic
I'm a big fan of point and click adventure games, and have enjoyed playing through this one. The story is interesting, and focuses on the Tunguska incident. I won't give anything away about the story. The production values are high, professional voice acting, good graphics and an excellent adventure game interface. The script is good with plenty of characters to interact with. There are also many varied locations, which helps maintain interest. There is also a handy 'diary' feature, to refresh your memory as to what has happened if you take breaks between playing the game. The puzzles are decent enough. There are a few nonsensical ones, particularly near the end, but you usually get some of these with adventure games. There are only one or two like this, but they do stop it from being a 'great' adventure game. I recommend using the excellent Universal Hint System on the internet, as provide a few nudges if you need them, without giving too much away. All in all, well worth playing if you like adventure games.

Hm, solid Point & Click adventure, but somehow i didnt get warm with it. The characters didnt really feel charismatic & the humour was missing. The story or puzzles coulnt carry it either. Plus I had some graphical glitches, so i wouldnt personally recommend it. (played in offline mode)

Ehm well, I just stumbled upon this hidden gem in my library and I have to say: It is awesome!!! Nice plot, very much gameplay (> 4 hours), nice graphics, lots of different sceneries and multiple chars to play. Sometimes you get stuck when you have to do something unforeseen (you'll see ;) ). All in all a wonderfull adventure and I will be on my way to the sequal "Secret Files 2" now!!! Really recommended!

This is great. Lots of fun, a great, globe-trotting adventure in the classic style. Many puzzles and problems to wrap your noodle around. Just one minor thing, the voice acting and script (I think it's translated?) aren't the best, if I'm honest. But if you want your adventure game fix, you could do a lot worse than picking this up (especially in the Steam sales!)

Once you finish it you will understand that it's a good game. I played all 3 parts back in the day when they came out and honestly apart from the fact that I loved the visuals I didn't remember anything. So I decided to buy it on Steam for a nice quest collection. Just let me brag a little about this gem. I'm gonna start a bit from a far. I like German comedies and I really like German adventure games since the country is very familiar to me and I always feel warm and cozy. I wanted to get a German voice and English subtitles to enjoy Ninas voice but Steam didn't let me do it and I couldn't find subs separately. Nina in English version sounds sorta like Barbie and not an amazing Lara Croft adventurer person. I mean c'mon the lady rides a bike and looks badass in her leather jacket. Also noticed some mistakes in translation and I'm not even a native speaker. Translating from German is never easy, guess I just need to learn the language xD Anyways, after that dissapointment I didn't give up and continued playing. The game itself has very nice backgrounds and pretty fast gameplay. Like you don't spend hours walking somewhere from one place to another. I really liked that. It has great textures and still looks pretty modern (apart from hair) The puzzles seem kinda strange and I don't know how to explain. Like you see logic behind them but I caught myself just combining objects randomly without a clue why I was doing that most of the time. And the things I created came in handy hours later. The moment with a cat was ridiculous tbh xD It's like the developers have their own sense of humor. I dig it but at the same time I felt weirded out. But in the end I was like "nah everything was fine" The plot was okay I guess? Nothing really to tell. In the end it gave me a strong Half Life vibe lol. I think not only for me because I saw people saying the same on Steam. Overall, like I said it's a nice game for quest lovers and people who replay it for nostalgic purpose. But with all honesty if you want to have something "more serious" go play Gabriel Knight or Broken Sword. Broken Sword is just fantastic. I'm planning to replay it as well soon. So I'd give this game 7 penguins out of 10

Secret Files: Tunguska is the game that kicked off an entire series of adventure games. Developed in my homeland, germany, it's a point and click adventure game in the classic fashion: travel between areas, find items, solve puzzles, All good and well, but god it's bad. The game has barely any redeemable qualities. I won't go further into graphics or animations - this game originally released in 2006, so it shows some age - but there are many things wrong here that have nothing to do with age. First of all, the characters are terrible. The voice acting is atrocious, both in german and english (mostly played in english), emotions are never properly conveyed and the story seems very ridiculous as a result. The story itself, while not bad, is constantly interrupted by poor attempts of humour. It fits in other adventure games but seems so horribly misplaced here when you are in a serious situation and Nina has to crack a joke when you inspect every item you see. Generally, the dynamics between main character Nina and her love interest Max are so cringeworthy, it makes me shudder. Bad jokes, constant overly cheesy dialogue, all topped with some delicious bad voice acting - a package that makes our main characters seem braindead. But fine, all of this can be forgiven if the puzzles are good, right? Well, they aren't. The game only has very few actual "puzzles" - these are mostly good and well done. 90 % of the game, however, consists of searching every pixel of the screen (luckily there is a function that shows clickable spots), picking up every item in sight (I assume our main characters are kleptomaniacs) and then starting to figure out what to do. The majority of actions required to progress throughout the game make *no* sense whatsoever and don't even begin to reside anywhere within the realms of logic. It's a huge game of trial and error, where you combine items randomly and try to use everything on anything until something happens, because there is no way to logically figure out any progression at almost any point in the game - and how could you, with 6 screens to travel between and 20 items in your inventory that don't seem to relate to anything? As far as adventure games are concerned, this game shows what NOT to do and is, aside from the decent story and nice (for the time) backgrounds, a huge disappointment.
