  A good game that unfortunately has issues with character balance, optimization, broken achievements, AI, and more. In addition, there is no online PvP yet, so for now, this game is more like a 6/10. However, I believe that if the creators address these release issues and add online PvP, it could easily become an 8/10.

  The game is top, especially the animations, but there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, optimization, the game gives almost all the load on the video card Secondly, there are not many bugs, but they are very unpleasant Last, but not least, there is no online. The game really needs it, because it's not fun to climb into the DS to play. Despite this, the game is brilliant!

  this game is great. let me get this out of the way, the game is fun and just as advertized its plug and play. the fighting feels snappy, aside from the hitbox being able to get you even behind the opponent while he's not looking at you, the game works great with remote play, no delay at all, me and my friend had a great time, so why negative ? despite it all the game lacks basic QoL features that should have been present since its not on Early access. no menu configuration, means performance is entirely based on how the game starts no keybindings, so if youre a keyboard and mouse player or even a controller player, if anything feels uncomfortable to you, you can't change it at all. i hope these things get added later on but until then, despite how fun the game itself is, i still can't recomend it

  I was genuinely looking forward to this game as someone who enjoys fighting games and this style of dueling games but the game lacks a lot to make it worth investing time in. Polish: there are many glaring issues that stand out when moving through the menus and reading anything in the game. There's a mismatch of fonts, the stylizing is often inconsistent, and often very glaring outdated ui, very noticeable in the map menu. Combat: I like where they were going with combat but I believe you can make a game easy to learn and hard to master, here there is not a lot of depth that makes it feel like you can invest a lot of time in to "master'. Theres also the fact that if you are facing a certain way and your opponent dashes past you and you try to attack again your character will keep facing the wrong way. Its a bit clunky. Art: I actually liked where they were going with the art, I would just say that it could also use a little bit of polish, some maps are a bit better than others but the art often times looks very washed and muddled. I really want to like this game, I like the genre and I believe it has the potential. It just needs to be redesigned in some areas (combat, ui/art, more characters, voice acting).

  A really charming swordfight game. Short campaign, but that's where the fun just begins. Simple to pick up, hard to master. Can lead to very long and exciting duels. Definitely a game to play with friends!

  Love Bushido Blade so grabbed this instantly when I found out about it, especially at this low price. Only played local PvP at the time of writing this and had a great time. Spacing, parrying, dodging, nudging, atmospshere and one hit kills ... all very reminiscent of Bushido Blade indeed although in sidescroll mode. Controls are tight, gameplay mechanics are simple yet have some depht. Some hitbox collisions are a little whack especially at close range but you get used to it. Game is surprisingly full for such a low launching price, and again we didn't touch the story mode. Lots of stages and gear to choose from already. Really hope we get more of these along with new characters in the future. tl;dr scratches the Bushido Blade itch nicely and feels complete at a low price tag.

  Love the concept and art! Was really hoping for online on release. Also wish i could change controls, makes it a lot easier if i want to play on kbm or want to play locally. I dont have a numpad and when i plug in a controller they are automatically player 1

  tl;dr: It's actually good but it's no masterpiece. I'm looking forward to online multiplayer. Negatives first, to get them out of the way. - The story is mid at best and the delivery is not great. I don't know if that is solely to the writing or also to the English voice acting. - The tutorial is not great. I don't understand the game's mechanics but I'm supposed to use them. Other games in the genre (e.g. Furi) did this much better. - You cannot skip most of the story, making replaying a bit tedious. - Rolling is not as responsive as I would like it to be. I can't be sure this is not due to my controller, so take this with a grain of salt. Okay, let's get to the meat of it. + The game's art is beautiful. The style is well executed, fitting and consistent. + Moment to moment gameplay is intense. The game is not fast, which works to its advantage when a single mistakes may spell death. + Loading times are short enough for dying not to be frustrating. It's no Ghost Runner though, you could probably shave a little more off. In conclusion this game is a quick, fun dueling game. Once online multiplayer is added, I will generally recommend it. For now, sadly, the story alone is too short and not varied enough for my taste.

  incredibly fun when you finally understand all the mechanics and how they work together, really looking forward to the online mode! Edit: Also you should think of pommel strike as the actual parry and the parry as block in my opinion, this made me play much better when i started thinking about them in that way.
