  As some reviewer rightly summarized: "best looking bad game I have played in a while". It's a feast for the eyes but it ends up being way too confusing to understand what's going on. In my experience the game is buggy, the controls feel bad and the difficulty is insane. Maybe watch it on youtube.

  //REVIEW MADE AT RELEASE VERSION// Definitively recommend for shoot them up players who don't enjoy having a clear screen. I'm amazed by the amount of visual polish the game has, and wished there were more epileptic gameplays out there! pro: > Pretty pixel graphics > GLITCH EVERYWHERE > Really great BGM! > The difficulty takes in account the fact that the player needs to find where his ship is, so that's good! > SMOOTH POLISH con: > Maybe too little info is being displayed; info like player lives, player HP (I think there's armor / no armor), etc > Can't play the game for more than a hour without eyebleeds, which is not a problem because playing shoot them ups for more than one hour in a row is pretty insane to begin with > Some ingame elements are like.. You don't know what they do until you touch it. It makes the first few runs a bit more frustrating, I guess? For that price, definitively worth its money!

  Rym 9000 is a fast paced vertical shmup set in a dystopian future. Gameplay 9/10 Shoot everything and try to chain kills. Strategy is needed when picking weapon powerups, usually one of the weapons is more suitable for certain areas/enemies. Action gets very busy and sometimes it can be hard to see what is going on. Game is quite difficult but you get unlimited lives. Graphics 10/10 Very cool unique visual style, a real sensory overload with a lot of motion and things going on. Everything is well animated and nicely designed. Music 10/10 The electronic music fits the pace and futuristic style of the game perfectly. Also the music DLC is great and except for the Soundtrack includes Roex discography (6 albums). Overall 9/10 One of the hidden gems on Steam, a really fun game that flew under the radar. As time of writing the Linux native version is unstable and tends to freeze randomly, Windows version works fine though.

  Very unique and interesting stg with solid gameplay to match the excellent visuals and music. I could not find native tate support in the rather cryptic options menu, but aside from that it is a worthwhile experience. All the moreso for the fantastic pricepoint.
